Review brief: My favorite DVD extra has always been candid footage: interviews, behind the scenes, bloopers, anything to put the filming in context, in context of real people. Shanes World from start to finish is just that. Its more real than Real World (though using many of the same techniques) and far more intimate. If you care at all to get to know the people who are screwing their brains out for your viewing pleasure then jump into Shanes World. Shanes World 19 is my first adventure with Shane so I cant compare it to previous excursions. Cast obviously makes the movie I doubt anyone would care about the personal lives of people who annoy them. 19 has an enjoyable cast, a nice mix of pretty faces, lean bodies, and personalities with depth.

Review brief: In our chat with Peter North, Peter described one of his goals with the North Pole series:I try to focus on the chemistry between the talent and match up the right people. It's the thing that I thought was lacking in a lot of movies - where they were matching up characters instead of performers. They don't always put together couples together that have great physical chemistry.In North Pole 6, Peter definitely succeeded with the chemistry project. Bonita Saint and Steve Jagger look like an actual couple having sex. Charlie and Dante also have a great rapport. In fact, the only scene that wasnt chemically reactive was the opening with Peter, Jewel and Katie June. As Ive said before one person often looks left out in a threesome and when you have a real life couple and a performer who performs best when she is the center of attention (see Real Sex Mag 18), well you get the picture.North Pole 6 doesnt waste any time with dialog. Review brief: Cameron Grants Fantasy Chamber, shot on film, could have been an incredible DVD. Essentially its a collection of beautiful sex scenes. The performers are exceptionally attractive, the scenery is erotically intriguing, and the music is excitingly sensual. Sadly, the video quality is poor enough for me to notice. When lighting and camerawork are the main attributes of a movie, sharp video is imperative. That said, I still very much enjoyed some of the sex (and theres plenty of it!) While its unlike me to list out sex scenes in a review, its appropriate to this movie (and people keep telling me they want to know who screws who.) Thankfully the disc lists out acting credits by scene.1. Nicole Lace, Barbara Doll, Mark Davis apparently I havent watched enough porn cause I never before noticed what a great body Mark Davis has. Sometimes threesomes look like a couple with a third wheel. Not so in this mirror laden scene. All three beautiful bodies intermingle. The music (I guess its jazz) drowns out the moans a little too much, but its the perfect score for the scene.2.

Review brief: Antonio Passolini crafted a vibrant, intricate film complete with extremely erotic sex shows. Every detail from the deep throaty voice of the narrator to the neon wigs to the way a cigarette is smoked adds to the visual masterpiece that is Café Flesh 2. This post-apocalyptic tale looks like a Warhol lithograph escaping into a fantastical wasteland. The sex shows on the stage at Café Flesh are smoothly built into the plot, amplifying the otherworldliness of the movie.The story takes place after World War III where society is divided into positives and negatives (actually positives are a rarity.) The negatives are destined to a life without carnal pleasures. Sex makes them physically ill. So Jeanna Fine, the charismatic Violet Chinchilla, tries to resurrect a club where positives used to hold sex shows for the negatives. Only problem is she needs to find some positives. Many flashbacks to the original Café Flesh (the original club not the original movie) are interspersed with Violets endeavor.The first scene with Rebecca Lord encapsulates the films brilliance.

Review brief: As much as I love iCandy and Marilyn Chambers, I have to admit that the sex is not the highlight of this DVD. Up n Coming is loaded with plot and (aside from Marilyn's enjoyable songs) bad country music. The movie script, the audio commentary and Marilyn are what make this DVD so great. I may be crazy, but Marilyn's body looks even better in this flick than in Insatiable. When she's rubbing herself in the shower, every muscle in her body flexes. This is really a stunning opener, even though it doesn't lead to anything.Plot The plot centers on the trials and tribulations of up and coming country music singer, Cassie Harland (Marilyn.) Cassie learns that PR equals giving good head and falling legends, Lisa DeLeeuw, don't take their loss of stardom lightly. The acting and character development are excellent. Review brief: Seven Deadly Sins really is made for DVD. It is cut into seven loosely associated sex scenes perfect for the easy access of a chapter menu. Viewing sequentially is totally unnecessary its more of an erotic anthology than a film with a story line. The concepts behind each scene/sin are expressed through unique sexual depictions. The sex is definitely not your ordinary porno sex. One scene is a wild food orgy, another a gorgeous threesome in a house of mirrors (talk about multiple angles.) I cant say that I loved every scene, but you get four hours of Vivid girls: seven sex scenes in the feature and a ton of extras. To top it off Vivid put it all on one side of a disc.Seven Deadly Sins will peak your interest and a lot more. The performers, male and female, are very attractive (thank you Vivid for casting James Bonn.) The execution is not perfect, but will exceed your porn expectations. Seven Deadly Sins can cross that line into mainstream because it took porn and made it erotic.

Review brief: Wow. Insatiable is the first classic porno Ive seen and it truly is classic. After watching this movie beginning to end (a porno rarity) I felt compelled to tell all of you how phenomenal it is. The increasing intensity portrayed so well by Marilyn Chambers mirrors the increasing intensity of a fist gripping, teeth clenching, heart pounding roll in the hay. The plot and the sex intermingle like a sensual story rather than a series of action sequences. Insatiable is more than a porno -its a finely constructed, very erotic movie (not to mention the groovin soundtrack.)The initial sex scenes arent even really sex scenes -lots pleasing and teasing, no cum shots. Marilyn does a lot of masturbating while fantasizing which grows increasingly passionate as the film progresses (culminating in an unbelievable scene with John Holmes -seeing him in action gives porn a whole new meaning.)The DVD quality is excellent. You can tell it is an old film by speckles here and there. But the image and the sound are both crisp. The audio commentary is interesting as are the bio and stills of Marilyn.

I thought she was nasty, and not in the good way. And her scenes disrupt the development of Roxanne's love triangle.

Review brief: Zazel: The Scent of Love is a beautiful, surreal piece of erotica. The interesting cinematography, creative makeup, and vibrant colors make it much more than a porno. Once I said that if ever a porno were a painting, Zazel it is (and the painter would be the child of Georgia O'Keefe and Hieronymous Bosch.) Most of the scenes are shot outdoors in a tropical jungle landscape. Without giving away too much of the visual intrigue, one of the scenes begins as a close-up of the inside of flower. The flower starts twitching as the camera zooms out. Upon further zooming it becomes clear that this flower is the painted clit of a woman. A few porn star type women disrupt the very unique appearance of Zazel.
