Initial Thoughts
I've heard a lot of good things about this movie and slasher films are some of my favorite American movies so the idea of an XXX rated slasher parody sounded too good to be true. Let's see if it is.

The Film
We open with a direct reference to Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre with a group of "teenagers" in a van, heading to a concert. They soon hit a drifter and end up at s secluded and abandoned summer camp where they encounter a weird old guy who tells them about the camp's bloody past. They are soon killed off as the cliches mount.
Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre presents itself as a satire and parody of slasher films and manages to actually put together a few good and clever references but ultimately falls flat due to the script and acting just being piss poor. Eric Masterson is the only actor who actually puts in a decent performance and, at times, is actually quite funny.
However, at 2 and a half hours, one would expect a bit more than a series of tedious sex scenes badly linked by a less than satisfying pro-slasher plot. What's more is that the satire is just dull and the dialogue in ungodly awful. As a whole the movie is incredibly boring and simply doesn't succeed in anything it sets out to do. The fact that this was shot on video doesn't help much either. The picture is flat and grainy and the lighting is just dull.
Although I've certainly seen much worse, this was a terrible disappointment and a sad reminder of how low X rated features have generally sunk.

A/V Quality
The picture is presented at 1.78:1, enhanced for widescreen TVs. Color and sound is as good as can be expected, considering this was shot on video and given a piss poor lighting job.

Extras
Here is where this disc really shines. We get some bonus sex scenes (dullsville if you ask me), a making of featurette, a commentary track, a trailer for this as well as a few other movies, more "POV" camera footage, etc. It's almost like they're trying to make up for a lousy movie by providing great extras. It's no help.

Cuts Warning
Although some more editing could have helped it, the movie is presented complete.
,br> Who Should See It?
I wouldn't really recommend this movie to anyone. As a film it's a failure, as a piece of throwaway porn I guess it's OK but seriously, if your intention is to wank, I'm sure you could find something better.

Who Should Skip It?
Everyone.

Final Thoughts
A huge disappointment in every way. I just hope Texas Vibrator Massacre is better.
