The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very impressive. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn’t notice a single fault. The video is also very impressive, and thankfully Wicked cared enough to give the widescreen presentation the anamorphic transfer it deserves. There’s a bit of grain here and there, but that normally went with the dark lighting that occurred during much of the movie. That said, the grain was never so bad as to interfere with the presentation and throw me out of any point in the movie.

Music: The music is very well done. It varies from scene to scene based on the location, time, and mood, and is very well balanced with the rest of the movie. It actually struck me as being so well done early in the movie that I couldn’t help but deliberately listen for it during the rest of the movie.

Menus: The main menu has some very nice animation and gives a fantastic first impression to the DVD. The chapter menu, unfortunately, is pretty generic and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene only.

The Feature

While on the way to a concert, Stormy, Jessica Drake, Voodoo, Tommy Gunn, and Eric Masterson’s van hits a homeless guy in a raincoat while they’re in back and the van’s on cruise control. They strap him to the roof of the van since nobody wants the smell inside, and that night the van breaks down in the woods near Camp Cuddly Pines. Soon after, they find out about the deranged killer who lurked in the woods at Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre years ago, a killer who appears to have come back...

Scene 1 - Jessica Drake, Stormy Daniels, Tommy Gunn, and Voodoo

Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre is a very amusing movie. Jonathan, Stormy, and August Warwick do a great job putting together a script that pokes fun of the horror movie slasher genre while also fitting in some nice sex. Personally, I’m not a horror movie fan. I’ve only seen the third Halloween movie (which as I understand it means I haven’t seen any Halloween movies), nor the Friday the 13th or any of the other big slasher movies. I got many of the jokes in the movie without being too familiar with the originals, and had the feeling that I would have had even more laughs if I had seen those movies. The cast does a great job with it all around. I love Stormy’s dumb blonde lines, and Voodoo is just as amusing with his “As the captain of the Badminton Team” leadership qualities. Eric Masterson is also great here, and goes the extra mile to actually capture some darn good footage with his video camera rather than just holding it as he was expected to do. The sex is pretty well done. The scenes are often shorter scenes, but at the same time they didn’t have the horrible feeling that so many other Wicked movies I’ve seen over the last year or so gave me where they felt like they were being limited to a time no matter what had to be cut out of them. There was normally nice chemistry to the scenes, and they didn’t feel like they were being held back from being a little nastier, as often seems to happen in couples features. Sexually, my only real complaints are that you never got to see position changes and there was never any real pussy eating in the movie. Out of ten sex scenes in a two and a half hour movie, I doubt that there was four minutes of pussy eating in the entire movie, and I don’t remember a single moment of dedicated pussy licking. I also thought the sex scenes were a little too separated from the plot. There were many times when I felt that a comment or two would have brought things together very well, but at the same time I can understand some of it because of Jonathan trying a little different style to shooting the sex here. All in all, Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre isn’t a perfect porno horror movie spoof, but it is very enjoyable. It shows a lot of care and it didn’t have a single fault that really interfered with the movie for me. If you’re interested in Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre, make sure to give it a chance.

The Extra Stuff

Two of the three discs in the Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre are dedicated entirely to extras, with all of the DVDs containing easter eggs and the first DVD also containing some extras. All of the extras on the first DVD are related to the audio. To start with, you can choose how you want to listen to the movie. There’s the standard soundtrack, a music only soundtrack, and a music-free soundtrack. If you want to get really freaky you could even listen to the movie in German. There’s also a commentary audio track.

Eric Masterson joins Jonathan Morgan and Stormy Daniels for a full length commentary. Sadly a blonde who shall remain nameless was rumored to be the cause of alcohol being banned during Wicked commentaries, or else I have a feeling that this commentary would have been even more enjoyable. As it is, Stormy and the boys do a very good job. There’s some nice banter between them as they discuss the making of the movie. There’s plenty of humor as well as some interesting stories. Wicked has been cutting back on the number of movies with commentaries, but they appear to still do them when it counts. This is a nice commentary.

The Second DVD

The second DVD is dedicated to behind the scenes. There are bloopers, several behind the scenes featurettes, and a few other fun things. The only thing that isn’t really related to behind the scenes on the movie here is the trailer for Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre.

The Horror: The True Tale of Camp Cuddly Pines lasts forty eight minutes. Things start out with an interview with Jonathan Morgan at home and a humorous look at Jonathan Morgan and his vision by the cast before moving on with the making of the movie. There are plenty of interviews with the cast, who are all very nicely identified, scattered throughout the featurette as well as plenty of clips from the movie. It appears to be broken mostly day by day with a few looks back and forth due to interviews both on the set and afterwards. It’s a very nice look at the making of Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre.

Casting the Victims lasts nearly six minutes. You get to see stars such as Alana Evans, Monica Mayhem, Teena Fine, Gia Jordan, Sandra Romain, Keeani Lei, Missy Monroe, Sharon Wild, Kelli Tyler, and a few others that aren’t as known reading Jessica’s cell phone scene. It’s an okay featurette. Rather than focusing on a few girls and following them through the entire thing, the girls are edited together darn near line by line. I was also a little disappointed that it didn’t show Jessica Drake trying the lines as well.

Scouting the Massacre lasts a few seconds shy of four minutes. The feature is basically just Jonathan showing the locations before they shoot and then showing a clip of the movie where it was shot. It’s a fairly forgettable featurette, mostly because it’s fairly heavily weighted towards footage from the movie. I think this footage would have been much better worked into the main behind the scenes featurette.

Girls of Camp Cuddly Pines lasts about seven and a quarter minutes. This is the standard photo shot featurette where you get to see the girls pose for the photo shoots. It’s nice eye candy and it’s nicely broken down girl by girl, but it’s nothing overly special.

The Stormy Bangs Betty cartoon lasts nearly six minutes and lets you choose between a wide screen and full screen presentation. When Betty walks down the street, she finds herself interested in the waitress job at Club Stormy. Needless to say, hijinks ensue as Betty gets a lesson in how things work around Stormy’s place. It’s a fun little cartoon, and definitely worth checking out.

Next is a nearly six minute featurette on making the cartoon. It’s a nice featurette that shows what the power of rum can do. It’s surprisingly light on Stormy’s involvement, but she does make a small appearance. That seems like a both a blessing and a curse here. Stormy has enough personality that I would have liked to have seen more of her involvement, but at the same time I like the more generic approach to a typical Brickhouse Betty cartoon. This is a fun little featurette.

Every Jonathan Morgan movie should have bloopers included, and Bloopers to Die For lasts a little under eight minutes. You get a few sexual bloopers as well as several flubbed lines and crack ups. There’s even a few bits with the cast having a little extra fun. It’s a fun collection of bloopers, and one of the better Wicked blooper reels that I can think of.

Rayford Cam lasts forty three minutes. When Jonathan Morgan gave Eric Masterson a camera for his role in the movie, he never expected him to actually use it. Instead Eric went the extra mile and used it through most of the movie. Rayford Cam captures that footage after a Blair Witch Project opening. It actually comes out as a pretty good Blair Witch porno spoof as it is, and makes a very nice extra.

The behind the scenes sex reel lasts forty seven and a half minutes. This featurette basically collects some of the extra camera footage. Sometimes it’s shots with the camera or crew in the shot and sometimes it’s just extra sex that was captured. Kinzie and Scott start things out followed by Manuel’s reverse gangbang in the asylum. Cherokee and Tommy’s backwoods boffing is next, with Devon Michaels and Randy Spears and Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo taking the next two spots. Eric Masterson finishes things up. He starts with his scene with Jessica Drake, moves on with his scene with Stormy Daniels, and then brings things to a close with Keri Sable. This is very nice collection of extra footage. You get a little music in the background and you aren’t forced to hear all of the noises and chatter from the crew like happens in many featurettes like this. Jonathan also includes the pop shot in each scene in case anybody feels like boxing the clown while watching it.

Finally, there’s the Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre Trivia Game hosted by Wicked Girl Keri Sable. After you answer each question right, you’re rewarded with about a three minute clip from Keri, except for the final segment which is full length. Each segment is nicely done, and progresses nicely to a good clip at the end. I can’t say that I’m a fan of games like this or a big fan of Keri, but this is a pretty good extra.

The Third DVD

The third scene contains many of the standard Wicked extras. Trailers are included for Secrets of the Velvet Ring, Perfect Life, Erotik, Intrigue, Caliente, Wicked Sex Party 7, Road Head, Space Nuts, Fluff and Fold, and One Night in Vegas. There are several extended sex scenes, as well as a pair of bonus scenes, all of which are presented in non-anamorphic widescreen. Several photo galleries are included as well as star stats for Stormy Daniels, Jessica Drake, Keri Sable, Nicole Sheridan, and Cherokee, each of which gives you a few photos of the star, a little personal information, and a Wicked filmography. There’s also promotional material and the Wicked DVD catalogue.

There are several photo galleries. The main photo gallery lasts nearly eight minutes while the behind the scenes gallery lasts two and a half minutes. Star galleries are included for the entire female cast, with each girl getting roughly a two and a half minutes gallery. There are also galleries for each sex scene, which last between about two and three minutes each. In each case, you get about eight seconds per slightly blurry snapshot.

Bonus Outtake Sex Scene - Keri Sable and Eric Masterson

When Jonathan Morgan first shot Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre, he forgot about how well Keri can work her ass, and went back and reshot the final scene. Extended Scene 2 - Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo

Extended Scene 3 - Jessica Drake and Eric Masterson

Jessica and Eric’s scene lasts nearly nineteen minutes and starts as Jessica is dropping down to work on Eric.
