Joe Shaver's
The stills looked really good for this one and the cast that was assembled was huge and remarkable, so why is this film such a letdown? Well, its for several reasons. One, the editing is frantic and choppy. Two, the sex is mundane to say the least. Three, the whole thing is hokey as hell. Four, its downright boring. Bobby Brennan, who makes his debut here, is a very adorable blond twinkie. Hes a piss-poor cocksucker, but its sweet to him try. Hes also a courageous little bottom, though he doesnt seem too ecstatic about it. Lets just chalk both up to inexperience. I like him nonetheless. Now, Bobby, who plays a character named Marker, (everyone in this film is graffiti mad) has a crush on his fellow worker, Vandal. Gura, a hairy young Latino with attitude, plays this role. Vandal is also the head of the gang Taggers that Marker wants to join. The first sex scene is a dream that Marker has about his co-worker. In it Marker is seated naked on a toilet peering though a glory hole at his idol being worshiped by two young acolytes: Jason Sizemore and Lexx Parker. [read the full review]

Haunted House On Sex Hill, The review summaries:
Flash's
The Haunted House on Sex Hill is a fun gay feature movie that has an enjoyable story and a nice look to it. There could have been some more work done on the costuming and the set design but, overall, is well worth watching for fans of the genre. Arena Entertainment has done a nice job with their DVD release of The Haunted House on Sex Hill with good audio and video quality. [read the full review]

THE HAUNTED HOUSE ON SEX HILL does not star Vincent Price. But what a cast it has! Director Thor Stephans has assembled an unbeatable array of talentor perhaps, I should say (from the viewers point of few) a very beatable array of talent indeed. He has also devised a plot that keeps the viewer entranced and more than serves as a link between the scorching sexual encounters. As the film opens, the camera pans over a deserted bedroom and comes to rest on an answering machine. A message informs Damon Wolf that his aunt has died and mentioned him in her will. This comes at a vital time for Damon and his lover Braeden Casey, as they are very hard up financially. We cut to these two lovers in the shower where they arewell, uhvery hard up. God, but they look beautiful together! Damon has a dark olive complexion, while Braeden is as pale as fresh milk. Both have musculature that only comes from intensive gym work. Braedens pecs are particularly incredible. (See for yourself on the DVD cover.) One could suckle them all day. But it is his dick that Damon drops to his knees to suckle. [read the full review]

Hole, The (Jet Set) (Single Disc) review summaries:
Joe Shaver's
I was not surprised when Wash West directed a traditional Hollywood film with THE FLUFFER. West had been directing films for years under the classification of gay porn. I was worried that having gone legit, he might turn his back on his origins. Thankfully, THE HOLE is proof that he hasnt. In a Wash West film we can expect a clever plot, a well-written and witty script, and some very hot sex. THE HOLE provides all of these, and I wish I could give it the full five stars; but with one wooden performance and a sex scene that comes nowhere near reaching its full potential, I am unable to give it that. It is still, however, a hell of a film! The film is based on the horror film THE RING that in turn was based on a Japanese film, RINGU. Ive not yet seen the Japanese original, but I have seen the American remake. The gimmick in these films is that if you watch a particular tape you will die in seven days. As soon as you have finished watching it, the phone rings and you are told your fate. In the West version, after watching a tape you turn gay after seven days. [read the full review]

Apprentice 2: Dark Heart, The (Delta Productions) review summaries:
Joe Shaver's
They tell us that sequels are never as good as the original. Well, in the case of APPRENTICE 2: DARK HEART, that statement is not true. This follow up is every bit as goodif not betterthan the original. The film begins when Joe Landon returns from walking the dog to discover that his lover has left him. With Joes handsome face, nicely muscled body and fabulous cock, I cant imagine anyone walking out on himand thats my only problem with this film. Apparently, too, Joes lover was footing the bills because now Joe has to return to his old profession. But being no longer a mere apprentice, Joe becomes a pimp and gathers a great stable of boys into the business. Only Danny Rhymes is a novice at the game (he is the apprentice in this film). Danny is very good-looking and resembles porn star Scott Davis. Joe decides to give him a tryout and they head for the bedroom. Now, not only is Danny good-looking, but he also has the necessary equipment for the job. Joe shows his expertise, however, by deep-throating it again and again. [read the full review]
