The Haunted House on Sex Hill is a gay thriller adult movie that is loosely, very loosely, based on William Castle's 1959 film The House on Haunted Hill. The movie has a decent plot that is designed to move the movie from sex scene to sex scene, however, enough work went into it that it isn't just a throwaway plot.

Damon Wolf (Damon Wolf) is contacted by Horis Valentino (Jay March), the attorney for his aunt Helen Wolf, to inform Damon that his aunt has passed on. Horis tells Damon that he has inherited his aunt's estate Stone Quarry, which is on the outskirts of Orlando and was formerly a male brothel. Horis also informs Damon that Stone Quarry is inhabited by ghosts and that Damon must spend 24 hours in Stone Quarry or the estate will be given to real estate agent Parker Williams (Parker Williams). Damon and his boyfriend Braedon (Braeden) agree to spend a night in the estate and Parker, and Anthony Holloway (Anthony Holloway) try to ensure the two don't last the night.

The Haunted House on Sex Hill has a lot going for it. To begin with, the story for the movie is fun. The story isn't overly original, it has been done many times over — even in an episode of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! The Haunted House on Sex Hill does give the story its own twist and, quite obviously, goes for sex over scares. The movie also has some nicely done ghost special effects and also has a good lighting design that fits the mood of the movie.

There are some aspects of The Haunted House on Sex Hill that could have been better thought out. For instance, the movie could have used more of a Gothic feel in the set design. Sadly, the set design felt very modern. Also, the male prostitute ghosts are dressed in current clothing, not in clothing that would have been appropriate for their time period.

Fans of the genre will enjoy The Haunted House on Sex Hill. The movie is fun to watch and, while sometimes the plot feels like it plays second fiddle to the sex scenes, will entertain viewers.

Arena Entertainment has done a nice job with their DVD release of The Haunted House on Sex Hill. The Haunted House on Sex Hill looks like it was shot digitally and the movie is presented in the Academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 in 480i. The image looks good with no noticeable defects and the colors in the movie are nice and vibrant.

The Haunted House on Sex Hill is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio track. There were no noticeable issues with the audio and the dialog in the movie was clear and easy to understand.

Arena Entertainment has included a few extras on this release. There is a 33-minute behind the scenes and bloopers featurette. There is also a photo gallery included on the release.

The Haunted House on Sex Hill is a fun gay feature movie that has an enjoyable story and a nice look to it. There could have been some more work done on the costuming and the set design but, overall, is well worth watching for fans of the genre. Arena Entertainment has done a nice job with their DVD release of The Haunted House on Sex Hill with good audio and video quality.
