Review brief: ASSMAN # 2 DVD Reviewed by : Devient 8/27/00 Well as we know by now is that Anabolic is now leaking their features onto DVD. Assman is a very solid series, and it's like watching the pre- Debauchery days. Same guys, but we are now back into the 1997 days. There is still hot eastern bloc girls being molested by the dirty french guys that some of us come to like. The stress is on anal gaping, so watch out if ya don't like this kinda stuff. Another gonzo raincoater with excellent camera work and crystal clear DVD tranfer. Anabolic did a good job here, and I also that the loud volume problem I had with the first ASSMAN wasn't there this time ( I would have my volume on one and that still louder then I wanted sometimes, and who wants to watch porn muted??). Review brief: The Plot: As you can tell from the title, this is part three of a series. I really wish I'd seen the first two. I might know a bit more where these people were coming from. I dropped this happy disk into my DVD player, expecting a fairly brainless ho-hum, low budget porn flick. I should have paid more attention. Two clues went right by me until I watched the opening credits. Clue number one: This is VCA putting out this DVD, so they have the talent. Clue number two: Executive producer is Antonio Passolini. Aha! As far as I can gather, the Upsilon Sigma Sorority has apparently been using voodoo rituals to kidnap fraternity guys to use them for breeding purposes. The girls stay young and fresh through depraved rituals, and use the guys for stud service whenever they feel the need or want children. I don't really see the problem, but I suppose the guys don't like being kept around and screwed silly every now and then. Whatever. Anyhow, our movie starts with the capture of the latest recruit for stud service.

Review brief: For my money, VCA remains the leader in the DVD market when it comes to high quality transfers of their back video catalog. Despite their mandatory condoms policy and use of the multiple angles graphic in many of their releases, VCA is synonymous for hot sex featuring their gorgeous contract women, so the consumer can hardly go wrong with their line of DVDs. Of course some movies are better than most, and in the case of the LOVE'S PASSION, some are merely above average.

Review brief: Decadence is a silent film with a semi- creepy soundtrack mixed with water drops, sighs and moans. The photography and production is stylish. On the negative side I am a Dalia Grey fan and this is the first time she doesn't appear in an Andrew Blake production since she started working with him. The editing is a little too jumpy for my taste. I wish Blake would let the scenes of Chelsea Blue play out longer before cutting in and out of her. Also I wish he had done an audio commentary like the one he did back in 1994 on laserdisc for Les Femmes Erotiques (The Erotic women) which is very enjoyable and informative. Extras. Review brief: Peter North's NORTH POLE series have gotten some mixed reviews among different adult circles throughout the world wide web. After reviewing volume number seven of this series, I am at a loss as to understanding why anybody would complain. This all-sex series takes a straightforward approach to its sex scenes, so those looking for a plot or theme would be better off with the latest VCA releases than with the simple set-ups presented here. Naturally, this series is named after The Porn Star Formerly Known as Matt Ramsey, who is also well-known for his prodigious resultant orgasms, which give new meaning to the term "pop-shot." Peter North has been in the business for nearly twenty years, and he is as recognizable as most of the industry's sex starlets when it comes to popularity. In my naivete, I always believed that he derived his name from the Peter Brady character, with whom he shares a somewhat close resemblance [don't laugh, I said "somewhat!"]. It wasn't until years later that I finally understood the meaning of his name.

Review brief: Directed by the infamous Dark Bros., "The Devil In Miss Jones 3 and 4" were critically-acclaimed classic sequels to the original ground-breaking porno which even reknowned radio personality (I hesitate to call him a journalist) Larry King proclaimed as one of his favorite films (I am not making this up!). Despite the dated look of most of the porno stars, and pre-CGI set designs and special effects, these two films still have a daring and surreal look to them.
