Review brief: Homegrown Video Classics Vol. 1, subtitled Swinging in the Eighties from Homegrown Video, presents 4 scenes from the myriad of videos that Homegrown has. The DVD runs about 90 minutes, and has fair picture quality, although the sound is nothng to write home about. The scenes have fair chapter stops throughout. The settings are pretty humerous and reminiscent of 80s porn, with the tacky settings and hairstyles. Extras include bloopers, web info, preview, and a bonus scene, which features Claudine from Homegrown Video #648. The sex isnt bad. The people look like real people, which can be both good and bad. But, if amateur porn is your thing, you might want to take a look at this one.

Review brief: "Art School Girls are Easy" is a good production distributed by Vivid Alt and featuring Goth-girl, Kasha Bella. Being geared toward a younger, hipper audience, this title is a bit more on the artsy side than your standard adult film. There are bizarre settings, odd dialogs, and dull colors. Further in keeping with this motif, body modifications, tattoos, and piercings abound--particularly on the actresses. Not surprisingly, these factors make for an interesting experience which, in all honesty, does keep the viewer's interest in a way that "regular" porn often doesn't. Clearly, there is something to this new-fangled formula of director, Eon McKai. Sex-wise, there are five scenes and four actresses (Kasha--three scenes Pixie Pearl--two scenes Stevie Hart--one scene Andy San Dimas--one scene). The best of these is Andy's boy-girl romp with Daniel. In all, I would recommend this to fans of Goth girls and to those who are looking for something a little different in their porn.

The plot focuses on the remnants of a world that has been destroyed by "the burn"--a nuclear holocaust--brought about by a scientist who was also Kayden's deceased father. Emerging from a protective chamber years after "the burn", Kayden sets forth into this strange land--a land that is fraught with danger and that features a dog-eat-dog, every-man-for-himself mentality. While the storyline gets off to something of a slow start--as does the sex--these items do pick up the pace substantially during the second half of the feature, and there is plenty of both to satisfy most consumers. Additionally, the production values are through the roof, and the amount of bonus materials is enough to sate even the most die-hard porn fan's desire for inside knowledge about the industry and film-making process. All in all, this one is worth checking out.

The other two scenes were quite forgettable really. There was a heavy focus on the asses as you'd expect with good direction, lighting etc. It was good to see some anal in an ass movie but could have benefited from a further anal offering and more in the way of extras. But if you want to see Alexis Texas do her thing, this movie provides an excellent showcase for her skills. Despite the engaging presence of her co-stars, the focus never strays from Alexis for long, if at all. She can move and work her ass like nobody else in the business.

Being geared toward a younger, hipper audience, this title is a bit more on the artsy side than your standard adult film. There are bizarre settings, odd dialogs, and dull colors. Further in keeping with this motif, body modifications, tattoos, and piercings abound--particularly on the actresses. Not surprisingly, these factors make for an interesting experience which, in all honesty, does keep the viewer's interest in a way that "regular" porn often doesn't. Clearly, there is something to this new-fangled formula of director, Eon McKai. Sex-wise, there are five scenes and four actresses (Kasha--three scenes Pixie Pearl--two scenes Stevie Hart--one scene Andy San Dimas--one scene). The best of these is Andy's boy-girl romp with Daniel. In all, I would recommend this to fans of Goth girls and to those who are looking for something a little different in their porn.

While the storyline gets off to something of a slow start--as does the sex--these items do pick up the pace substantially during the second half of the feature, and there is plenty of both to satisfy most consumers. Additionally, the production values are through the roof, and the amount of bonus materials is enough to sate even the most die-hard porn fan's desire for inside knowledge about the industry and film-making process.
