Review brief: Nowadays Matt Sterling's films contain beautiful guys and lackluster sex, but when this film was made he wasn't jaded--he was at the top of his form. SIZING UP is one the best ever made by anyone! Brian Maxon is a veritable wet dream come to life. Kurt Marshall was the most beautiful natural blond to ever appear in porn. I first saw this film in a theater and when the lockerroom scene with Mark Miller boffing Kurt came on, I came too. (And I wasn't even touching myself!!!) Indeed, all of the scenes are SCORCHING! Review brief: Old timers will recognize the reference to "Harper Valley P.T.A.," a story song written by Tom T. Hall and recorded by Jeannie C. Riley in 1968. The song went to number one on both the pop and country charts, and later became the concept of a 1978 movie starring Barbara Eden, as well as a short-lived TV series also starring Eden. This film was shot around 1979 or 1980, and it is hot!! Jessie St. James is the star, but there is a lot of good female talent including Dorothy LeMay, Kay parker, and Sharon Kane. This film is surprisingly mean spirited, and some people will be disturbed by depictions of incest (compare the Kane-Gillis coupling in this film with the duo's scene in Michael Ninn's New Wave Hookers, almost 20 years later). The film is plot driven and the sex scenes are typically much shorter than today, but they are very effective. The film was shot on film, and the DVD transfer is very good. The extras are the usual from Nu-Tech, nothing spectacular.

Review brief: This Cal-Vista shot-on-film feature from around 1984 has very little to recommend it. The sex is routine. Even the delightful Janey Robbins, one of the unsung heroines of early porn, is largely wasted. The plot has stewardess Juliet Anderson wanting to be the first female pilot on her airline, with sister Tara Aire trying to help her along. There are alot of shots inside airliner shells, and outside of windows during flights, and pirate shots at airports, but we've seen it all before in better films from that era. This film features an extended mud wrestling scene, so if you can remember the mud wrestling fad of the 1980s, you can date this film. On the bright side, the film quality is excellent, and the transfer to DVD is very good as well. Technically the disc is very good.

It also suffers very frequently from over lighting, which gives it a kind of unnatural yellow tint. Music: The music is pretty standard. The balance varies a little, but is normally very nicely balanced with the rest of the audio. Theres a little bit that gets a little loud, but not much. Menus: The main menu is a simple plain screen that allows you to choose between the feature and the chapter menu. The chapter menu is pretty standard and only offers a small clip of the scene to let you choose.

Review brief: In another of his film parodies, writer-director Dino Phillips/Dane Preston has "cum" up with a winner. Although the acting ranges from excellent (Logan Reed) to excessive (Kevin Kramer) there is a clever plot to set up the sex scenes. I think videos are much hotter when we see characters fuck rather than just paid porn stars. Although I found Kramer's over-the top performance to be not campy, but just bad Jerry Lewis (Is there good Jerry Louis?) he certainly makes up for this as an adept sexual performer, taking both Matt Sizemore and Jack Ryan up his butt at the same time in one of the best double penetrations seen on film. And I love his new Prince Albert. The video opens with a terrific scene: Eric Wood stretching the maid, Michel Mattel, with some very large dildos. Mattel is very accomodating, but he probably doesn't do windows. The second scene with George Fleece and Kurt Wagner goes on too long; and the final scene between Logan Reed and Pete Davos does too.

DYNASTUD is one of the latest in this "revival" When the VHS appeared, Dynasty was the number one evening soap opera. Dynastud was a clever parody. Nowadays, the humor here is lost; but the pre-condom sex remains HOT! The opening scene with the beautiful blond Christopher Lance making out with the stableman Melchor has not cooled off with time. Nor has the three-way aboard a private jet where Joel Curry is fucked silly by handsome Mark Miller and hugely hung Rick Donovan.

I havent seen any of these films but judging by the represented A/V quality here, theyre all pretty old. As for extras, I think this is the second DVD Ive seen that claims ads as its only extras. In this case, theyre for the company rather than for phone sex, but theyre not even good ads. Still not doing yourself any favours Knob-Ryder! (And wheres the dang time code?) For some reason, Jennifer Leigh was omitted from the box-cover credits.

Review brief: Old timers will recognize the reference to "Harper Valley P.T.A.," a story song written by Tom T. Hall and recorded by Jeannie C. Riley in 1968. The song went to number one on both the pop and country charts, and later became the concept of a 1978 movie starring Barbara Eden, as well as a short-lived TV series also starring Eden. This film was shot around 1979 or 1980, and it is hot!! Jessie St. James is the star, but there is a lot of good female talent including Dorothy LeMay, Kay parker, and Sharon Kane. This film is surprisingly mean spirited, and some people will be disturbed by depictions of incest (compare the Kane-Gillis coupling in this film with the duo's scene in Michael Ninn's New Wave Hookers, almost 20 years later). The film is plot driven and the sex scenes are typically much shorter than today, but they are very effective. The film was shot on film, and the DVD transfer is very good. The extras are the usual from Nu-Tech, nothing spectacular.

Review brief: This Cal-Vista shot-on-film feature from around 1984 has very little to recommend it. The sex is routine. There are alot of shots inside airliner shells, and outside of windows during flights, and pirate shots at airports, but we've seen it all before in better films from that era. On the bright side, the film quality is excellent, and the transfer to DVD is very good as well. Technically the disc is very good.

Review brief: In another of his film parodies, writer-director Dino Phillips/Dane Preston has "cum" up with a winner. Although the acting ranges from excellent (Logan Reed) to excessive (Kevin Kramer) there is a clever plot to set up the sex scenes. I think videos are much hotter when we see characters fuck rather than just paid porn stars. Although I found Kramer's over-the top performance to be not campy, but just bad Jerry Lewis (Is there good Jerry Louis?) he certainly makes up for this as an adept sexual performer, taking both Matt Sizemore and Jack Ryan up his butt at the same time in one of the best double penetrations seen on film. Review brief: I like uncut guys, and with Brazilians you can expect to get just that. Watching the first scene of this DVD, however, I was impressed with neither the men nor the sex; and I was planning on unloading it on an auction site. But then came scene two.
