But if you've seen Manuel's Mindfuck, you can expect similar results here except that the production values are taken one step further: This movie uses feature style lighting- lighting which casts shadows and renders out body shapes. It's also shot in widescreen- very capably by Manuel and friends. And why this flick qualifies for such a distinction was brought about by the happenstance that I viewed the BTS segment prior to the feature. In the BTS segment, Mark and Francesca recount how they came about their his and her POV style whereby the performers pass the camera during the course of the scene to provide different POV perspectives as the sex is taking place. And it was in their search to discover new ideas and concepts to separate their work from the overwhelming mediocrity that so dominates the porn industry today that they stumbled upon a winner. Its this willingness and desire to improve upon their work that is refreshing.

This one has a loose poker theme though so you might like it on that front. The fetching Sarah Blake certainly looks nice on the cover, and throw in the little sexpots Patricia Petite and Jasmine Byrne and you have a decent looking "teen" release. Scene 1: Sarah Blake and Billy Glide A bunch of guys (and Angel) are playing poker and doing some terrible acting in the process. Sarah Blake plays a pizza delivery girl who gets plowed by Billy Glide. Gonzo used to be like punk rock, right or Italian Neo-Realism, or white trash cooking. Yknow: Take whatever elements are at hand, dont sweat the technique or the fancy trappings, and just go for the gut. As much as porn can be about truth, with its fake tits, fake orgasms, and fake human beings trying to fool us all into believing they arent robots, there was a brief, shining moment when gonzo offered something different. A glimpse, and a glimpse only, perhaps, of a moment of pure feeling. It still does, from time to time, and it does more often than not when John Stagliano is behind the camera. These days, gonzo translates as cookie-cutter yellow couch porn, and functions all too predictably as an efficient way to produce lots of shippable product for studios/distribution companies dependent on a steady cash flow.

Im not sure what to expect here. Initial Reaction: Its okay. The audio starts out being limited to music, so you dont have to worry about things like balance and background noises, but then lets you hear the performers. This gives things a very heavy handed feel that actually interfered with the movie a bit for me. The video is pretty well done. Theres barely a hint of grain, and the lighting is just a little on the high side. This actually worked pretty well here as it gave the movie a slightly more artistic look.

Review brief: Prologue With all the maneuverings, defections and hirings at Hustler, there was one move that made perfect sense. Put DAC in charge of the Asian Fever line. Nobody in porn is more obsessed by the gentle flowers of the Orient, or more likely to show them in their best light while getting the bejesus fucked out of them. He's assembled a fairly young cast of beauties and set his most trusted studs loose on them. Asia is hood rat from Philadelphia with a body that can make grown men weep. Mila Yung has been around the edges of the industry for a couple of years and done good work for DAC before. There are some relative newbies in Gianna Jolynn, Nyomi Zen and Taya Cruz. All great looking. To top it off is the enigmatic Nyla Thai, sister of Lucy, and just as stunningly beautiful. I'm hoping Nyla gets reached in a way I've never seen before from her.

Review brief: Gobble gobble. Not turkeys, but cock gobblers instead! This is the perfect Thanksgiving gift for the in-laws. Yes, the fantastic Barely Legal series. Ive been hooked on these since the first with the urinating Anastasia Blue. Sadly that stuff is long gone but I think of it as the old reliable grandpappy standby visually its always rich in color with sharp video and great lighting and oh, the girlies are obviously just on the right edge of lawful activity. Erica McLean is the first time director of this series, taking over for the late (and great!) Clive who directed the first 50. No director profile that I saw on the disc so I will I dont know if this was wife, mother, aunt, sister or daughter of the great one. Nevertheless, things play out pretty much the same as the previous titles. (Note: Jane Waters is listed as the director on 51 and 52 I thought she did a wonderful job, though she ended both with a girl/girl scene.) Sierra Sin and Lain are the real standouts in this one.
