Initial Expectations: Lex the Impaler really impressed me, so I have high hopes here as well.

Initial Reaction: It’s good, but not nearly as good as the original.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for well done gonzo or interracial sex

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something to introduce that special somebody to porn

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear and well balanced in the scenes, but the level occasionally seemed to change between scenes. The video has a few spots that seemed slightly out of focus, but had more problems with natural light bleaching out some of the colors.

Menus: As usual, Evil Angel has a very nice selection of menus. The main menu has a little animation and a slightly different and dark feel. The chapter menu nicely breaks things down by the girl in the scene, and the fetish menu lets you jump right to specific sex acts, such as tease, doggy style, ass to mouth, or cumshot.

The Feature: Lexington Steele and Jules Jordan are back, and they both still seem to be horny as heck. Well, at least Lex is since Jules stays back behind the camera so the rest of us can live vicariously through them. There’s occasionally a lead-in with Lex before the scenes, but always a bit of teasing from the girls before the action really starts.

Although it’s SuperBowl Sunday for most everybody else when Lex and Jules start shooting Lex the Impaler 2, Lex informs us that it’s SuperBall Sunday for him and Shyla Stylez. I was surprised when I first heard that this won best couples scene, but watching it I have to say that it was very well deserved.

Lex the Impaler 2 didn’t quite live up to its predecessor for me, but it’s still some damn good porn. The girls all look really into their scenes and Lex shows the enthusiasm and enjoyment that sums up what every porn viewer thinks being a porn stud would be like. It has plenty of Jules’ great teases, but I was a little disappointed that he didn’t have any toy usage this time around. There’s some great scenes here, but I don’t think they come close to Jessie J. and Layla Jade’s teaming up with Lex in the original Lex the Impaler. I’ll even admit that I’d probably have enjoyed this feature a lot more if I hadn’t seen the original, but that doesn’t mean I regret watching Lex the Impaler 2. Lex the Impaler 2 is still some darn good porn, it just had a hard time reaching my sky high expectations that the original set.

Extras: The photo gallery contains almost sixty very nice looking snapshots. Filmographies are included for August Night, Ryan Conner, Alexa Rae, Shyla, and Monika Sweetheart, which list the star’s other Evil Angel credits. There’s also a cast list by scene, a bio for Jules Jordan, and website information.

The main extra, however, is the extra footage. The blooper reel lasts about four and a half minutes, and includes things like Jules being a fumbling idiot. I can’t blame him for much of that since I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be thinking with the head on my shoulders if I was in his position and would probably do much worse. There’s also quite a bit of banter between Lex and August that’s fun to watch and makes it look like everybody had a great time making this scene. The bloopers are fun and worth checking out.

There’s also over twenty minutes of behind the scenes footage and extra sex. There’s a little of Jules working with the cast, but most of it’s sex footage that was cut from the feature. Jules comments are left in, unlike the rest of the scenes, but there aren’t too many of them that ever interfere with the show. The footage is nicely arranged by the girl, so you can skip through the chapters to get to a certain lady or skip over one if you don’t happen to care for her. There’s some nice footage here and it makes for a great extra.

Overall: Currently, most Evil Angle DVDs can be found online for between $19 and $30, with many stores offering them for around $23. This is more than a fair price for what you get here. The sex is hot and fun, and the transfer is great. There’s even some nice extra footage here to make the price tag even more worthwhile.
