Lex the Impaler 2 Review

Audio/visual quality: Jules does an excellent job of making the video look good under high key lighting conditions. The camera's shadow sometimes falls across the performers' bodies. In a few places, sunlight also appears to be reflecting (refracting?) off the camera optics. These flaws are infrequent and short-lived, however. The handheld camerawork is smooth, the angles are pleasing and the focus is sharp. The location for Lex the Impaler 2 is the same ultra-hip house used in the first volume. It's a very attractive setting, and this time, we get to see a couple new rooms.

The audio quality is also generally quite good. It's normally easy to hear what the performers (and director) are saying. Some teases include unobtrusive music, but there's no music during the sex itself.

Disc problems: I am unable to exit the photo gallery without ejecting the disc. This problem occurs on an Apple DVD Player (version 2.1.1); with other players, it may or may not be an issue.

First impression: The performances are extremely athletic, but not as arousing to me as in the original Lex the Impaler.

Scene highlights: The camera follows Shyla as she walks up stairs in her white patterned hosiery and bra. She plays with "telephone" faucet of the bathtub but doesn't turn it on. Shyla teases Lex through floor to ceiling windows, and he teases right back, using hand motions to indicate what he'd like to do. He joins her inside, and she gets right to work on the blowjob. Shyla alternates her gaze between Lex and the camera while she gamely attempts to get his full length down her throat. She appears ready to follow the director's instruction to lick Lex's balls, but there's an edit to her bending over with her hosiery already cut open. Shyla talks dirty while Lex drives it hard and deep into her vagina from behind. He also impales her in a standing position. They walk to the three-way mirror in the bedroom for a little more action from behind, then go to bed for more vaginal action, followed by at least five anal positions with repeated ass-to-mouth. There's some truly lovely footage of Shyla's pussy lips fanned out into a heart shape in the anal pile driver position. Lex wanks briefly till he splatters all over Shyla's face, with one drop landing dangerously on her left eyelashes.

Ryan Conner cheerfully chats with Jules while he captures great footage of her womanly butt on a glass chair. She continues to flaunt her rear assets indoors and out, eventually greeting Lex with a few kisses and an eager blowjob on a spiral staircase. They enjoy some 69 on a leather chaise. After a couple of vaginal positions, Ryan and Lex generate serious anal heat in at least four additional configurations. Lex's enthusiasm for Ryan's companionship is quite obvious; he has to slow down several times to keep himself from coming too soon. The expressions flickering across Ryan's face seem to indicate that she's experiencing genuine pleasure, as well. Viewers who watch very carefully may see the drop of milk that Ryan squeezes out of her nipple immediately before Lex explodes vigorously all over her face (there's a bit more lactation in the behind-the-scenes, as well).

Jules trails behind Alexa Rae, clipping a dog leash onto her collar in the bathroom and instructing her to crawl to the bedroom. I can't help laughing every time I watch this scene, even though Alexa does her damnedest to make it look sexy. I'm almost offended (but not quite) when Jules does the obvious and calls Alexa a "bitch." He's not mean spirited about it, but in her place, I'd consider that an open invitation to yank the camera and chain out of his hands and properly discipline his ass (while filming it and getting off at the same time!). Alas, that's just my fantasy. Alexa remains very compliant, even wearing a blindfold during the blowjob. Lex provides a little oral warm-up (very little), and they have vaginal intercourse in an astonishing variety of positions: missionary, a standing embrace, cowgirl, doggie (by which time, ironically, the leash has magically disappeared), reverse cowgirl, standing side splits, spooning and a few more. At one point, Alexa winks saucily at the camera. Alexa keeps her eyes wide open for the facial, but the forcefulness of Lex's ejaculation causes most of the spunk to miss the target.

Jules catches up to August Night while she's strolling on the treadmill. I suspect August was very new to the business when this movie was made. She has an uncertain little laugh and a nervous habit of pressing her lips together that could be endearing or irritating, depending on your point of view. Personally, I think she's kind of cute, especially with her short dark hair. Lex's cock is initially flaccid when it emerges from his blue jeans, and he lets August's blowjob help make him hard. August doesn't always look 100% physically comfortable, but she appears up to the psychological challenge of tackling a penis as big as Lex's. Once again, there's a great variety of vaginal positions, some of which are difficult and unusual. There's also a nice, playful sequence where she pretends she's going to wriggle away from him, but he repeatedly catches her and provides a few gentle thrusts as they ascend the stairs. August looks a little shy as she takes Lex's cum on her cheek.

Lex introduces Monica Sweetheart to the viewers before fondling her in her pretty pink dress. The tease segment is much shorter here than in the other scenes, and Monica quickly gets to work sucking Lex's massive member. This is followed by roughly a half dozen vaginal and anal positions. The intercourse is reasonably energetic but not particularly gymnastic. One gape is visible during anal doggie. Lex climaxes wildly from his thrusts alone (no additional handwork necessary), and Monica is able to intercept some of his semen on her tongue. There's no doubt that Monica is a babe. I know she has many, many fans. But I can't tell if she's actually enjoying herself here. Her breathless moans are repetitive enough that I mostly just worry about her hyperventilating. Compared to the other women in the movie, she also looks at the camera rather infrequently.

Thumbs up: I'd never seen any of these actresses before, and the one who impresses me most is Ryan Conner. Aside from the issue of her magnificent butt, her whole face glows when she smiles. She confidently grabs the reins of her own pleasure, warming up her pussy by straddling Lex's face in 69 and warming up her ass by penetrating it with her own finger. Lex seems extremely awed by her ability to lactate, and they create some very hot chemistry together.

Thumbs down: With the possible exception of Ryan, there's very little warm-up (oral or manual) for any of these women. The action goes straight from blowjob to banging. The first volume seemed a little kinder, maybe because a few of the derrieres were properly prepared with butt plugs. It's not that Lex doesn't care; he's actually very considerate of the well-being of his cohorts, asking August if she's doing okay, politely placing a pillow under Monica's head, etc. But it's obvious that the emphasis is on visual foreplay for the viewer (in the form of teases), as opposed to physical foreplay for the actresses. That's fine, except that I tend to strongly identify with the actresses while I'm watching. I guess they're supposed to be so thrilled by Lex's presence that they don't need anything else. But I keep wishing I could see their juices really flowing before the thrusting begins.

Final analysis: Even though Lex the Impaler 2 doesn't turn me on as much as its predecessor, it's still a very good movie. There's definitely a lot of physicality to the sex. The technical qualities are also quite impressive, especially for gonzo. It's my understanding that no further sequels are currently planned, which is a bit of a shame. Despite my complaints, there's enough good stuff here that I'd probably be interested in watching more.
