review from 5/27/2017:
Alpha Blue Archives has collected two films that couldn't be more different on their release for Midnight Hustle that are tied together only by their similar sounding names. Midnight Hustle is a light-hearted comedy from the end of the 1970s whereas the second film The Midnight Hustler is a cheaply and poorly churned out one-day production from the beginning of the 1970s. The obvious appeal of the set is for viewers who collect movies with the word Midnight with variations of Hustle in the titles. Neither film has been given an overly good presentation by Alpha Blue Archives, Midnight Hustle doesn't look horrible but is missing a lot of footage and The Midnight Hustler just plain looks awful. review from 1/5/2016:
Despite the fact that they have two eager and willing boyfriends chomping at the bit to get into their pants, Marsha Wolfe and Yvonne Green decide that it's far more interesting to whore their way around San Francisco--fucking older strangers as they do--than it is to play with someone their own age. Such is the case in "Midnight Hustle", an overall-good release from Steve Brown and Alpha Blue Archives that highlights both the deviant behavior of these two young lasses and also the cruel denial of their guys. review from 8/9/2016:
John Holmes is at it again as his cooler-than-you, private investigator persona, "Johnny Wadd", in "The Jade Pussycat", a very good, 1977 release from Bob Chinn and I-Candy. This time around, Holmes has been employed by the sister of a low-rent thief, Jon Martin, to find him after he goes missing upon stealing a near-priceless artifact, the Pussycat. As it turns out, it's the criminal Linda Wong and her gang of Chinese thugs who are behind the kidnapping, and what ensues is an old-school, P.I. adventure reminiscent of mainstream stories of its era...but served up with a heaping helping of Holmes' mammoth meat and good ole-fashioned fucking. review from 7/21/2014:
The Jade Pussycat is a great adult film to come out of the seventies and one of the best entries in the Johnny Wadd film series. The film has a great combination of sex and story that makes for a excellent finished product. I-Candy's release features a decent presentation of the film. [read the full review]
