Pretty Peaches (Vinegar Syndrome) review summaries:
fu_q's
Finding herself strangely (and a bit drunkenly) unsettled by her father's (John Leslie's) marriage to a younger woman in Virginia City, Desiree Cousteau (as "Peaches") races off down a canyon in her jeep, only to veer off of the road and crash...leaving her with a bad case of amnesia and a lost identity. Of course, it's just her luck that two low-life characters find her, steal her transportation, and exploit her for their own ugly purposes...setting off a cascade of difficult events for the young Desi that only seem to go from bad to worse. Such is the case in "Pretty Peaches", an exceptional, 1978 release from director Alex DeRenzy which has been remastered exceptionally well by Vinegar Syndrome. [read the full review]

The fine folks at Vinegar Syndrome have cleaned up and re-released Alex DeRenzy's PRETTY PEACHES (1978) with the original 91 minute 35mm film intact and looking better than ever in all its wide screen glory. Bouncy and bubbly Desiree Cousteau plays Peaches, who takes a knock on the head then wanders about not knowing who she is, which is a recipe for horn dogs and other assorted sleaze bags to take advantage of her. No condoms but plenty of wacky dialog accompanying the sexual shenanigans in this xxx comedy concoction. [read the full review]

Desiree Cousteau Triple Feature (GAM) review summaries:
Flash's
Golden Age Media's release of the Desiree Cousteau Triple Feature contains the films Getting Off, Pretty Peaches, and Summer in Heat. Getting Off is a rather standard loop carrier by Ed DePriest, and Pretty Peaches is an enjoyable feature by Alex de Renzy, and Summer in Heat is an enjoyable film from Christy McCabe. Whether the Desiree Cousteau Triple Feature is right for you depends on what film(s) you are interested in from the three film collection. All three films appear to be sourced from 3/4 video masters. Getting Off has decent video quality but problematic audio quality, Pretty Peaches has poor video and audio quality, and Summer in Heat has decent video and audio quality. [read the full review]

A Taste Of Sugar (VCX) review summaries:

Everyone's in for a swinging good time when the hot-to-trot Serena and her hubby, Mike Ranger, throw a Spanish-fly-infused wedding party for the newly-minted couple, Ray and Eileen Wells, in "A Taste of Sugar". An overall-good, 1978 release from director Kirdy Stevens and VCX, this fine, Golden Age film effectively offers up two massive orgies that, together, span the vast majority of the film's ~80 minutes and feature not only a plethora of steamy moments but, as an interesting rarity, a number of post-cum reinsertions, as well. Louise and Larry are holding a wedding reception for 'Stu' and his new wife, Sugar. Naturally, the reception is intended to introduce Sugar to the swinging scene... but no-one can wait until the bride and groom arrive before being given a good seeing-to by the host and hostess. One by one the guests arrive for A Taste of Sugar. [read the full review]

Little Orphan Dusty (TVX) review summaries:
Fred's
With all the talk about rape scenes being taboo now in porn, it's interesting to note that "Little Orphan Dusty" (from the 1970's) is still available, with at least three flat-out rape scenes. The movie, in fact, begins with a major rape scene. Dusty (the actress is a dead-ringer for Farrah Fawcett back when she was on "Charlie's Angels") is walking down the road, when a group of Hells Angels types on motorcycles pull up to her. She seems happy to see them at first, but when one of them pulls at her blouse, she gets the idea that they're not very nice guys and makes a run for it. The bikers chase her through the woods, whooping it up, and eventually corner her in a clearing. Dusty is laid out on top of one of the motorbikes, while a group of bikers hold down her arms and legs (and a lone female biker watches from a distance). The leader of the gang takes out a knife and cuts off her panties, then the others rip off all of her clothes (while she screams "No! No!" to no avail), leaving her nude (and virtually spread-eagle) atop the bike. [read the full review]
