For the Love Of Pleasure review summaries:
Oddobsessionmovies'
As with the TVX release of (Anna) Obsessed, the film "For The Love Of Pleasure" and the TVX release of said film are very different, so different in places that when watching the uncut version it almost feels like a new movie. That said, the following is a review of the original uncut version off of a 1986 Essex Home Video tape. Anyone even marginally familiar with hardcore films of the 1970s has undoubtedly heard of Annette Haven and Jamie Gillis and as familiar as I am with their work, their roles in this 1979 film has always seemed a bit odd, even by 70s hardcore standards. The plot: **HEREIN MAY LAY SPOILERS** Jamie Gillis is Simon, a down on his luck, petty thief who makes the mistake of breaking into the home of a woman who, upon seeing him, forces him to have sex with her then shoots him to death when her husband comes home. It should be noted that Jamie keeps his gym shoes on throughout the entire sex scene... Gillis ends up in the afterlife where he is greeted by Annette Haven (God?) who provides him with an endless supply of women, food, and finery. [read the full review]

Lasse Braun's AMERICAN DESIRE (1981, Caballero Home Video) is a marvelous fuck flick from The Golden Age of Porn. A long-time couple, Sheila and Bob, (Veronica Hart and R. Bolla) embark on separate sexual odysseys that cross paths in a strikingly shot three-way finale with a strange hitchhiker (Lysa Thatcher) along for the ride. [read the full review]

Neon Nights (Command Cinema) review summaries:
fu_q's
A budding, young woman with some unique daddy issues, the cute-as-can-be Lysa Thatcher, finds herself running toward New York City to find her twin sister after an unexpected sexual encounter with her mother's boyfriend, Jamie Gillis, goes awry. Of course, along the way, she happens upon myriad bizarre characters, all of whom have their own sexual kinks and predilections, and most of whom are interested in including her in them. What will ultimately become of young Lysa and her journey...and what the Hell's actually going on, quite honestly...end up as the burning questions of the day. Such is the case in "Neon Nights", an exceptional, 1981 release from Command Video and director Cecil Howard. [read the full review]

Satisfiers Of Alpha Blue, The review summaries:
andyblake's
This 1980 New York production may be the only Gerard Damiano video I've ever seen. Typcially, "golden age" adult movies are pretty tame by today's standards. That isn't the case with this one. Right away there's an anal scene, followed shortly by a double penetration. There's also a scene where a man is penetrated by a dildo. In the original movie, there was a fisting scene and a golden shower scene, both of which have been cut from this dvd (and, unlike Arrow's DVD of "Candy Stripers" are unfortunately not hidden in an easter egg). The plot involves a futuristic society called "Alpha Blue," in which the prevailing custom is sex without commitment or attachment. Herschel Savage (early in his amazing three decades-long career) is happy with this state of affairs, but R. Bolla pines for the good old days of love and romance. Bolla decides that he will woo Satisfier 805 (Lysa Thatcher) into falling in love with him. Bottom line: this is an amazing classic feature, one of the best golden age movies not made by Henry Paris (aka Radley Metzger). [read the full review]

Taboo 7: The Wild And The Innocent (Metro) review summaries:
Flash's
Taboo 7, which is really 1980's A Woman's Dream by Peter Perry, Jr., redecorated with a new title and new cheaply made computer generated beginning and end credits with a brief new opening narration with Randy West by Richard Mailer. A Woman's Dream isn't a bad film with a developed plot, great locations, some good acting, and nice sex scenes. Metro's release of the film is poor but sadly this is the only currently available way to see it. [read the full review]
