Erotic Dr. Jekyll, The review summaries:
Flash's
The Erotic Dr. Jekyll is one of the many adult films that has come out that plays on the novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Lewis Stevenson. Despite the source work being perfect for transformation into the adult film world, The Erotic Dr. Jekyll does a very poor job with the story and the sex scenes, to areas of vital importance for a feature-style adult film. As a result, The Erotic Dr. Jekyll is unlikely to appeal to many viewers. Video-X-Pix has done a good job with their DVD release of The Erotic Dr. Jekyll. The video looks nice but the audio has some issues. Video-X-Pix has heavily skimped on the extras. [read the full review]

Waterpower review summaries:
fu_q's
Surrounded by the dirt and grime of 1970's New York City, a pervy, imbalanced porn shop creeper and window peeper, Jamie Gillis, finds himself pushed over the edge when he witnesses both an erotic enema at a local brothel and also the object of his obsession having sex with another man. Convinced that he can "cure" women of their perceived "impure behavior" via an enema (whether they like it or not), he goes on a spree that ultimately has him becoming a notorious and deranged rapist. Whether he'll be caught or whether he'll continue to terrorize the city's female population remains to be seen. Such is the case in "Water Power", a very good, 1976 release from Global Media International Films. [read the full review]

Waterpower is a bizarre film to come from Shaun Costello that has an even more bizarre release history. The TLA Entertainment Exclusive DVD contains two versions of the film on the disc. One called the original version and one called the director's cut. Neither is, to the best of my knowledge either the original version or the director's cut. The video quality is very good on the original version and varies from very good to poor in the director's cut. As of now, The Historic Erotica version appears to be the best release of Waterpower to have come out as of yet, but hopefully someday a definitive version will get released. [read the full review]

Vixens of Kung Fu (Alpha Blue Archives) review summaries:
fu_q's
Upon finding herself abandoned after a gang rape at the hands of hunters out in the woods, a young prostitute (Bree Anthony) trains in the martial arts under the tutelage of a kung fu master (C.J. Laing) who happens upon her. Intent on defending themselves from the likes of such men, Laing and her group of followers work diligently at their craft, honing their abilities and guarding against threats...even to the point of directly taking on a well-trained monk (Tony Richards) whom they encounter in the forest. Such is the case in "The Vixens of Kung Fu", a decent, 1975 release from Alpha Blue and director Lin Cho Chiang. [read the full review]

Teenage Pajama Party, A review summaries:
fu_q's
A giggly gaggle of young girls (18+) sets off on the path toward sexual discovery when a pervy, older sleazebag prank calls their sleepover in "A Teenage Pajama Party". An overall-good, 1977 release from Jim Buckley and Alpha Blue Archives, this flick revolves around the fantasies and "real-life" (film-wise) actions that the call brings about. [read the full review]

Anyone But My Husband review summaries:
Flash's
Anyone But My Husband is an enjoyable comedy to come from Roberta Findlay. The sex is great, the cast does a good job, and the film is funny. Alpha Blue Archives has done a decent job with the release, the majority of the master comes from a good print and the missing portions come from a beat up video. [read the full review]

Maraschino Cherry review summaries:

"Maraschino Cherry" is an interesting release from 1978, Radley Metzger, and Video-X-Pix that, once again, appears that I'm going to be the only one who really likes it. That's not to say that it isn't without its flaws, of course. Indeed, this film--to a large degree--comes off as "trying too hard" to replicate the type of nonchalant, sexual action/attitude that pervades films like "Barbara Broadcast" and so on. Still, in many ways, it's enjoyable and sexy...enough so that I found it a worthy purchase. [read the full review]

Don't be fooled by the fact that this was directed by Radley Metzger, who directed such acknowledged classics as The Opening of Misty Beethoven. This film just doesn't come close to the level of Misty Beethoven, or Metzger's other efforts. The DVD was transfered from an extremely distressed print of the movie. This thing is simply terrible to look at, and there is little eroticism, despite the presence of the superstars of the era, including Leslie Bovee, Gloria Leonard, Constance Money, and Annette Haven. For example, Constance Money's scene consists only of a short handjob. About the only thing that saves this film from being a complete waste is the nasty, kinky S&M scene with C.J. Lang. NOTE: This is not your typical review. Others have done an excellent job reviewing the content, scenes, performances, etc. of this porn classic. This "review" concerns itself with how the DVD's contents compare with the complete, uncut original release version of the film or an early (before prior self-censorship) VHS version. The Ratings given refer either to the "original" version of the film (Performers, Plot, Sex, etc.) or to the DVD version (Extras, Value, etc.) and are relatively arbitrary. The important info is that which follows. MARASCHINO CHERRY DVD IS THE PITS! Radley Metzgers last hardcore effort under his Henry Paris nom-de-film is finally available on DVD from Video-X-Pix. Well, they saved the worst for last and by that, I dont mean from a content standpoint! While Maraschino Cherry is generally regarded as the weakest of that group of films, even Metzgers weakest efforts far outstrip those of most of his porn peers and successors, IM (and many others) HO. Odyssey (VCX) review summaries:

Gerard Damiano once again exhibits his flair for the dramatic in "Odyssey", a very good, 1977 release from the legendary Golden Age director and VCX / Alpha Blue Archives. Featuring three short tales of tail in one release, this production is more of an aggregation of short adult films than it is one, single body of work. [read the full review]
