"Wacky World of X-Rated Bloopers", an overall-decent, 1989 release from Gourmet Video and narrated by Kimberly Carson, is exactly as its name would imply--a collection of bloopers and behind the scenes material from a number of 1980's releases. Funny moments, true missteps, wood issues, and micromanaging directors are all highlighted. A number of stars from the era make appearances, some more so than others, and the release does provide a nice look at life on a porn set from a time period when BTS material really wasn't mass-produced and readily available. While it's not so much a production to get off to, it's certainly interesting and reasonably worth a watch. [read the full review]

I had a dislike of the surreal work of another director, so had wincingly decided to have a look at Gregory Dark. Bingo! Dark's quirky wanderings don't detract from the intense sex. And I have to admit that a couple of his oddities showed up nicely in my later fantasies, though others were not for me. Clearly Dark has a fascination for issues of sluttiness and evil -- I'm thinking it's tongue-in-cheek. Still, it's there for whatever play it might get in your psyche. This is another personal favorite from my collection that gets a decent amount of playtime. Statistical information: Disc type: 2 sides, 1 layer Feature length: about 2 hrs Extras: stills, clips, trailers I have acquired a handful of Vivid Raw titles just because they often are on sale at various netstores. The quality varies a lot: sometimes you get a DVD that should be good on the outset but isn't (Femme 2), and sometimes there are one or two hot scenes amidst less exciting stuff (Channel X). You hope to come across the occasional gem. Choose Your Cooze is the best of the lot so far. It is also an all-condom movie, penetration-wise, so those who have a strong aversion to condoms can leave at this point. Still here? Good. The premise is simple.
