review from 11/15/2002:
Helen Contre Helen Directed by Peter Elsen Note: I believe this DVD is also distributed in the U.S. by Pleasure as "When Helen Meets Monique" Overall Impression The film is in French I believe, but it is a bit of a non issue since there is next to no dialouge during the sex, just a few brief exchanges between Covet and Duval. There are a lot of things that I really liked about this import, however there are some drawbacks. The film has a very soft and slow sensual feel to it. There is quite a bit of slow motion used, as well as extremely soft lighting and mellow music tracks. At times this works, and at times it makes it very hard to enjoy the performances. The look and style of the sets, and clothing deserve high marks. The girls can be found wearing some great stuff throughout this one, and it really helps. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 86 min. Production Date: 03 / 1996 Director: Christoph Clark Cast: Laure Sainclair, Aniko Arnal, Andrea Nannetti, Anita Blonde, Bernadette Manfredi, Erica Bella, Monika Mik, Olga Lovi, Regina Sipos, Vicca, Andrew Youngman, Frank Gunn, Zolt Walton, Mike Foster, and Christoph Clark The Short Story Initial Expectations: Christoph is one of my favorite directors, so when I was excited to find him directing this one when I was going through my Pile O Porn. Okay, its more like a Mountain O Porn, but that doesnt flow off the tongue nearly as well. Initial Reaction: Its a nice little piece of fluff with some good anal action. Who Should Watch It : Couples wanting a light story and sex with anal Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting soft and cuddly sex The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is clear and well balanced for both the original audio and the dubbed languages. The video is very nicely done as well. [read the full review]

review from 2/26/2002:
Also known as L'Heritage de Laure, directed by Christophe Clark. Date of Production 03/1996 by Video Marc Dorcel. Re-packaged and released by Wicked 07/2001. Synopsis A Budapest gangster dies, leaving his businesses - including a strip club / brothel - to his estranged daughter (Laure Sainclair) who was unknown to his young, ambitious wife (Vicca). The widow, of course, is none too happy with the sudden appearance of the daughter, while the daughter is surprised by the business she finds herself inheriting. After various encounters Laure seems to decide this is not the business for her and heads back home to Paris. We get 10 scenes with great video quality, great locations, good-looking women in great outfits (before and after they come off), (mostly) real tits, and almost no tattoos. The women keep some clothes on in most of the scenes and as typical of Marc Dorcel features, someone put out some very well spent money on the lingerie. [read the full review]

Welcome to vintage Dorcel review number 2. This week showcases the talents of Laura Angel. Expectations This is a Dorcel DVD directed by Alain Payet and starring Laura Angel. My interest is definitely peaked! Capsule Review This is another wonderful installment in the Dorcel legacy. The ladies are lovely, the sets and wardrobes are super and the technicals are outstanding. What's not to like? Technical As is true for virtually all of the Dorcel releases, the video, audio, and lighting are wonderful. This is a little older than some of the releases and so I have judged it accordingly. Also, the original French soundtrack is available, so you don't need to do the Private dubbed audio thing here (although an English soundtrack is available as well if you prefer). Director Alain Payet Extras Photo gallery, biographies Target Audience Euro feature fans, fans of stunningly beautiful women Scene Review Scene 1 - Coralie Coralie is an attractive brunette. review from 1/2/2003:
This is the first of my vintage Dorcel reviews. I intend to catch everyone up on these generally excellent releases. I have selected this as the first because I had several requests. So without further adieu... Expectations How could my expectations be anything less than stellar? Here we have a Dorcel DVD with Anita Dark as the main star. That has classic written all over it! Capsule Review This is an excellent movie. It is beautifully filmed, it stars gorgeous women, the sets and wardrobes are lavish, and the plot barely gets in the way! What else could you ask for? Loosely, the plot revolves around a rich guy who loves to sniff girl's soiled panties. Each scene has a little of this voyeur guy snatching up panties and sniffing them. Technical As is true for virtually all of the Dorcel releases, the video, audio, and lighting are wonderful. This is a little older than some of the releases and so I have judged it accordingly. review from 12/13/1999:
Cost of Lust is a pleasant change of pace from the typical American porn title. Cost of Lust is a European import mastered and distributed by Wicked Pictures. It features French hottie Laure Sinclair. The cover of the DVD pictures Laure looking like a supermodel. She looks just as good in the movie. The plot in cost of lust is fairly basic and sometimes comical. Laure catches her husband cheating on her and runs off to overcome her sorrows. She meets up with a gorgeous witch doctor that leads her down a path of interesting sexual encounters. The sex in Cost of Lust is very realistic. The performers are natural and attractive. (A few of the guys are butt-ugly but the gals are hot.) The dialog is pretty funny at times in addition to being dubbed (unless you want to listen to the French audio track). The extras are almost non-existant. A few still images along with bios on the performers. Not much in comparison with the extras on Flashpoint, another great title from Wicked. [read the full review]
