Army Brat 2

Release date: 5/17/2000
Reviewed on: 11/1/2001

Studio: Vivid Wave

Starring: Aja, Tom Byron, Peter North, Champagne, Jon Dough, Tracey Adams, Rick Savage, Julianne James, Lynn Connelly, Sasha Taylor, Nina De Ponca, Sasha Strange, Mark Weiss, Larry Zenon, Mr. Champagne
Directed by: Paul Thomas

Review brief: Army Brat 2 is another entry in Vivid's Brat series, but gone is the original Brat Jamie Summers. In her place is Julianne James who brings to the film none of the charm or acting ability that Jamie originally brought to the series. She is wooden and blurts out her lines with almost no mood or feeling. Vivid has done a decent job with their DVD release of Army Brat 2.

Review brief: Army Brat, part of the Brat series from Vivid, is a fun amusing movie from the 80's. What makes this movie so fun is that the cast, themselves, seems to be having a good time which compensates for the silly plot. The plot is enough to keep the film going, but not enough that you have to worry about getting dragged down by it. The acting is incredibly cheesy but fun to watch. Vivid has done a decent job with their DVD release of Army Brat.

Kelly the Coed: Rush Week

Release date: 4/24/2000

Studio: Heatwave

Starring: Allysin Chaynes, Brandon Iron, Brian Surewood, Annabel Chong, Tyce Bune, J.J. Michaels, Jay Ashley, Gwen Summers, John West, Mazzi, Delta, Mark Wood, Pat Myrna, Johnny Trust
Directed by: Jim Powers

Review brief: All-in-all, Kelly the Coed is not a bad movie, but a far cry from those that came out during the golden age of adult films. Kelly the Coed is worth a watch and/or picking up if the price is cheap enough. There are enough variants in the sexual acts presented in the movie that all viewers should be pleased as everyone should find something to their liking within the movie. Heatwave has done a good job with their DVD release of Kelly the Coed.

Studio: Private

Directed by: Pierre Woodman, Antonio Adamo

Review brief: If you are looking at picking up some titles from Private, this is a useful disk to pick up especially since Private disks are rather high priced compared to most other companies. It is found very cheap in stores and gives you a good feel of the different movies presented. The disk is very well set up for easy navigation and finding what you want to fast.

Dirty Western 2: Smokin' Guns

Studio: Metro

Starring: John Decker, Ian Daniels, Lisa Ann, Brooke Waters, Valeria, Brittany O'Connell, Rick O'Shea, Fallon, J.P. Anthony, Andrew Wade, Morgan Phoenix
Directed by: Adele Robbins

Review brief: Dirty Western 2 is the sequel to the classic 1975 film A Dirty Western and is done by the same writer/director, Joseph F. Robertson. Dirty Western 2 is a well-done film in all aspects except for the plot. The plot that is present is very thin but manages to hold the film together. However, what it is lacking in the plot is made up for with lavish sets and great costuming, except for a very out of place nipple ring. Metro has done a good job with their DVD release of Dirty Western 2.

Starring: Judit, Brigitte, Nikki, Zoli, Betty, Angelika, Szilvia, Orsi, Edina
Directed by: Alexanderos

Review brief: The main feature is actually two features put together, first is the film Disco Party that has a run time of one hour and fourteen minutes. The second is a film called Disco Party 3 which has a run time of one hour and twelve minutes. As for Disco Party 2 you might ask? My guess, given the production value of the films, is that the producers honestly felt three follows one. Sunshine has done a poor job with their DVD release of Disco Party.

Directed by: Jim Clark

Review brief: Debbie Does Dallas continues to be an extremely popular adult film even to this day and is likely one of the best known of all adult films. The story of Debbie, a cheerleader, is one that transcends time and remains as fresh then as it does today. Debbie Does Dallas isn't the greatest adult film ever made but it certainly is fun to watch. If you haven't seen it yet and you are a fan of the genre, it is time to correct that. NuTech Digital has done a decent job with their DVD release of Debbie Does Dallas. The image quality is good and the audio is good.
