Initial Reaction: This is a scorching anal feature. Its done quite well for a gonzo feature. Audio /Video Quality: The picture quality is average, but not by much. It ranges from slightly below average, showing some grain, to pretty clear. The audio quality is very good. You can hear virtually everything. Music: There isnt a lot of music, but what music there is balances very well with the rest of the audio.

Initial Expectations: This series has been around for quite a while, so if its making it onto DVD there must be something pretty good about it. Since its the first volume, Im expecting this to be very basic. Initial Reaction: Its very basic, but other than being a little dry, its very well done. Audio /Video Quality: The picture is slightly grainy, but its to be expected with the age of the feature. The audio is very well done and normally very well balanced. Music: Although I didnt expect any, theres very light instrumental music (think John Tesh or Kenny G) throughout almost the entire feature. Disc Problems: NO TIME CODE! With how little effort Ive heard it is to do this, I can see no reason why any DVD should be without one.

Initial Reaction: Wow. Theres a couple things Im disappointed with, but overall Im really impressed. Audio /Video Quality: Both are very good, if not excellent. I had always heard that Private has the best transfer around and Im tempted to believe them after watching this. Theres a little grain to the picture, but not that much. It noticeable here and there but most times you have to look for it. Also, The Pyramid 1 is presented in widescreen (Im guessing about 1.66:1). Its great to see widescreen making its way into the adult films and I hope to see it more in the future.

Initial Reaction: Its well made, but Im not sure if I liked it or not. Audio /Video Quality: The video is very good for the age of the movie. Most of the movie is in color, but some spots are done in grainy black and white. The audio doesnt always match the video, but it isnt meant to in a lot of spots. Music: Theres only music in a few of the scenes.

When there is music, it's well balanced and fits the mood of the scene. Initial Expectations: Let's see. Jenna, Kylie, and Nici. Three of my favorite female performers. All in one movie on a VCA DVD.

The Rest: I had some fairly high hopes when I first watched 'Voices In My Bed'. Ashlyn Gere has always been one of my favorite adult film stars, and I'm hoping she makes a comeback soon. My hopes rose a little when I saw that she wrote the script for Voices. Within the first 5 seconds after the opening credits, my hopes started to pay off. The camera work was excellent from the start, switching between color and black and white shots with some chains hanging down rattling.

The picture is quite clear, and there weren't any spots where I thought it was grainy. The audio is a little below average. In a few parts the sound echoes slightly, however the main problem is the audio level. Normally on my TV I have the volume in the low 20s. For Night Nurses, I had to turn it up to almost 40 to try and hear anything. At least the audio track matched the video well. The Rest: "We all want our patients to leave here happy, happy, happy." Nina Hartley says at one point. That shouldn't be a problem with the treatments patients get at this hospital.

Review brief: It's nice to see when people know what they're good at and do it. Cameron Grant can direct a great sex scene! Story, he's a little weak on, such as 'The Dinner Party'. To get around that messy little 'plot' thing (the closest he comes is hinting that this is a collection of shameless desires we all might have), he breaks the movie into 5 short segments seperated by a short segment that flips across faster than most music video scenes. Luckily, the sex is hot enough that you don't really care.Jill Kelly starts the film off in Tardy, where Eric Price punishes her for being late by having her DP a pair of butt plugs before going into more foreplay. We have to wait a long time before we have actual penetration, and it's done well enough, that you don't care.Next, Asia, Vivienne, and Vince Voyeur have a fairly tame threesome in Fellatio Appassionata.
