Private Presents: DVD Sampler 3 Review

Initial Expectations: I’ve heard very good things about Private’s samplers, so I have some high hopes here.

Initial Reaction: It’s a great display of what Private has to offer.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody curious about what Private has to offer.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants to see an entire feature rather than a few scenes and trailers.

Audio /Video Quality: Since it’s a compilation the technical aspects vary a little, as one would expect. As usual with Private, the audio is often dubbed. It’s normally very well balanced and clear, but it should be when it’s dubbed. The video varies a little more, suffering from a little low light in some areas and a little grain in others. Despite this, it’s still better than most features out there.

Music: Only one of the scenes has music, and it’s just a hair loud. It’s kind of sexy rock music that fits the scene okay.

Menus: The menus are simple and nicely let you select a scene or a trailer. Each scene is nicely labeled with the name of the feature it comes from, and the trailers show both the cover to the feature as well as printing the name below it.

The Feature: Private’s DVD Sampler 3 nicely showcases what Private has to offer. Three full scenes are included as well as a large assortment of trailers.

Trailers are included for over one hundred features, so with that many, I’m not going to list them all here. Suffice to say, if you’re wondering a little about a Private movie that was released prior to this sampler, you can probably watch a trailer for it here. For anybody who hasn’t seen a trailer by Private, they’re about the best trailers out there. Private paid attention to trailers for mainstream movies and applied the formula to their trailers.

The first full scene comes from No Sun, No Fun, also known as Private Gold 43. It begins in mid stroke, with a knockout blonde getting fucked from behind by a round headed guy. They’re both in ski gear and look like they decided that skiing down the mountain was too much work so they dropped their drawers and got busy. It’s one of the rare scenes where you don’t get to see all of the girl when they move to reverse cowgirl, since she keeps her ski coat on as they fuck. Her coat does disappear before they spoon, however, so you can see her great natural body in all its glory, and it stays off for the remainder of the scene. It’s one of the rare Private scenes where there’s no anal action. The blonde does, however, take a decent spurt near her face and then go in for cleanup duty. It’s a pretty average scene, but it seems a little jerky and doesn’t have any music.

The second scene comes from The Academy, part of Private’s Pirate line and starts Zita, Monica Moore, Monika Sweetheart, Sandra Russo, Thomas Stone, and George. In it, Monica and Monika each get busy on couches with guys, while Zita and Sandra please each other in the background. One of the guys pops fairly quick and onto Monica’s bright red fuck me boots, but manages to recover quickly after one of the other Sandra licks it off. Sandra starts off the anal sex, and later gets DPed after Monika takes two cocks in her holes. Unfortunately, both Monica and Zita disappear fairly quickly in the scene, neither of them taking anal, but do appear in the end to take a nice facial after Monika and Monica take their facial. It’s a very hot scene, but I couldn’t help but think that something was missing. Perhaps it’s just the slight setup that was missing.

The third scene comes from Amanda’s Diary 4 and starts out with two girls, neither of whom I recognize, sharing a guy I don’t recognize. One girl gets up to sit on the guy’s face while the other continues to suck him, and then fingers the girl’s ass when she climbs up to fuck him. Luckily for the helper, another guy shows up to take care of her a bit. The two couples fuck, both vag and anal, and interact very nicely as they do, with the girls often playing with each other. Each girl also takes a DP turn, and seems to get into things nicely before they each finish with a facial that they take very well, even if they do keep their eyes closed. Oddly, although the chemistry between the girls is very good, it seems to lack a little between the girls and the guys.

A sampler like this is a great idea, and I’m surprised more companies haven’t done something like this yet. The DVD is easily afforded by almost anybody, and nicely demonstrates what Private has to offer through both trailers and scenes from three of their lines. Anybody interested in Private’s DVDs should pick this up.

Overall: Currently, Private DVD Sampler 3 can be found online for between $5.50 and $25 with all the realistic stores offering it for under $10. If you’re interested in what Private has to offer, but don’t want to shell out the big bucks to check them out, it’s money very well spent. The scenes alone are worth the bottom end, and you get over a hundred trailers for what you can consider a bonus.

Note to Private: This is a great idea. I hope you keep bringing out samplers and that you include them with some of your DVDs.
