Opening of Misty Beethoven, The (VCA) Review

The Opening Of Misty Beethoven has everything that makes a great film and not just a great porno. It is funny, cute, sweet, and very sexy. In my opinion everything came together perfectly in this film to make it maybe the best porno of all time. This is certainly the best porno I have seen in my admitedly rather limited viewing of the genre.

VCA has done a superb job with this dvd they have included a commentary track with the star of the movie Jamie Gillis and supporting actress Gloria Leonard. They both provide interesting tidbits about the film and it’s making and about the other actors and actresses that took part in the film. The audio quality is excellent. The video quality is pretty good there is a problem with a lightening at the top and bottom of the screen but it is not too distracting, but this is the only problem with the video of note.

The story of this film is based on the movie Pygmalion. This movie has been made numerous times. This version of course involves Dr. Seymour Love (Jamie Gillis) transforming a common hooker Misty Beethoven (Constance Money) into a master of sex. He sets about giving her lessons in sex and she becomes the talk of Europe and ultimately. Misty catches Seymour talking very rudely about her and she walks out on him and he then realizes how much he loves her. He goes back to New York and watches old films he has of himself and Misty and while he’s sitting there getting a blowjob from the maid in walks Misty and takes the place of the maid and then begins the hottest scene of the movie between Misty and Seymour.

This movie is a great film and is almost one I’d recommend to people that don’t even like porn. It’s that good. If you like porn at all you should see this film. Constance Money was a real cutie in this film and the acting in this film was on par with a mainstream film. Jamie Gillis puts on an excellent performance and is decked out in suits throughout most of the film. This is a must see classic.
