Is there any wonder why Tera Patrick has risen so quickly from modeling obscurity to porn superstardom? Just look at her. She's so popular because she's so pretty. It's that simple. She's so pretty that it's off putting. Intimidating. To see her is to wonder what it would it feel to have sex with a woman who looks like her. I suspect it might feel a little something like humping the Holy Grail--a warm, sexy, big breasted, exotic looking Holy Grail. Unfortunately, I'll never get to know for sure. My Plaything: Tera Patrick, on the other hand, promises that I can come real close to finding out in the privacy of my own living room.

Let's just say I liked this DVD, but I still don't know what it feels like to have sex with her. While Tera Patrick might be the Holy Grail of sexual conquests, we've got a long way to go before we're ever fooled into thinking we're having sex with a beautiful woman when we're not. To be fair, it's not Digital Sin's intention to trick us. What this disc does is provide fodder for the imaginative and horny mind. And on that account, it does a pretty good job.

Visually, this production is stunning. And, I'm not just talking about Tera. Technically, this just looks good. When it comes to production values, there are no corners cut. So, let me put your suspicious mind to rest. If you've been disappointed with how other adult DVDs looked on your home theater, you won't be let down here. The only question left is, "So, what's Tera really like?"

Unfortunately, I'm not completely sure what Tera is really like. As you navigate through the disc's tease, masturbation, foreplay and sex sections you can dictate what Tera does, what position she does it in, the angle in which you want to see her doing it, and what kind of attitude you want her to assume when she goes to work. Though I'm stunned by her beauty and what I'm seeing, she doesn't do a whole lot to sell the illusion. Then again, maybe she's doing too much. The problem with these kinds of "interactive sex simulators" is that the action is so far removed, you're left watching the girl act out what sex is like rather than watching her have sex. I doubt I'll soon find another girl that looks as good as she does, but her attitude (whether I choose for her to be naughty or nice) strikes me to be as insincere as those girls on late night television trying to convince you that they're really sitting in bed waiting for your hot sexy phone call. I'm not saying that Tera Patrick is a cold fish, and I'm not suggesting that she is in any way a turn off. I'm just saying that I've seen other girls do a better job of making me believe them.

As with any DVD like this, its value hinges completely on how much you like the featured girl. Lots of people are fans Tera Patrick; I'm one of them. She hasn't been in the business for that long, and you won't find a large catalogue of movies out there with her in them. If you're looking to add her to your secret, or not so secret, stash of digital porn I would suggest this DVD. You're just not going to find her with this much screen time in any other movie, and you won't find her anywhere else looking this good. Sure, My Plaything: Tera Patrick isn't without it's drawbacks, but what it does well it does extremely well and is worth it's slightly above average price. Think of it as a fun and sexy novelty, and you won't be disappointed.
