Initial Expectations: This has been one of the best virtual sex series out there. Even though this is an early installment, I’m going in with high expectations.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very nicely done. The audio is well balanced and Tera’s voice comes across very clear. The only problem with the audio is a slight bit of hiss in the background. The video is also nicely done. It’s very well lit and only has a hint of grain.

Menus: The menus are very simple. You’re allowed to choose a section with the choices nicely laid out beside a nice still of Tera.

The Feature

Since the day she first took to the adult screen, Tera Patrick has been turning heads. Maybe it was the nearly perfect all natural rack (which has now been put under the knife), her pretty and exotic face, her heavenly ass, or her ability to spew some nice trash talking while putting out a great fuck. Whatever reason it was, it made Tera a perfect choice for Digital Sin’s My Plaything series. Here, you can control what Tera does, whether she’s naughty or nice, and what angle you watch the action from with two true multiple angles.

Tera gives you most of the usual virtual choices, and changes outfits for each section. She’ll tease you with her tits, pussy, or ass while in a hot tub wearing an animal print top with a black thong or masturbate for you using her fingers, a dildo, or the Sybian wearing some white lingerie in front of the fireplace. She’ll even let you work on her with your tongue, fingers, or a dildo wearing a black corset and stockings, or if you’d like, she’ll suck your cock in that outfit. She’ll even let you fuck her in missionary, doggie, or either cowgirl. Through all of the sex, Tera does a fantastic job. She varies her mood nicely, plays to the camera without completely mugging it, and puts in plenty of energy. Although Tera hadn’t been in the industry too long at the time of this release, it’s easy to see “superstar” with her performance here.

Unfortunately, it’s also easy to see why so many people complained about the pop shots in early virtual sex movies. The only real popshot in the movie is for the nice blowjob. Tera fakes a pop in her mouth for the nasty blowjob, and the rest of the pops are obviously animated. It’s easy to tell that they’re animated, but they aren’t quite so bad as some other animated virtual sex pops. Tera handles the one real pop pretty well, and gives the others some decent vocals. I’ve seen a lot worse animated pops than the ones here, but they still leave a lot to be desired.

The age of My Plaything: Tera Patrick also shows up in some of the virtual mechanism. For the most part, it’s nicely straightforward. Your choices are easily laid out in the top left or right corner of the screen and the naughty / nice and cum icons rest nicely in the bottom corners. The age shows up in the menus for each section, as you have to go back through a submenu to change from one group of sex acts to another. It’s not a big hassle, but it does show the age a bit.

The age also shows in the segment looping. Here, all of the segments loop back to the start, which means that Tera might be in the middle of fucking herself with the dildo with barely any clothes on only to have the segment loop back to when she’s still dressed and just about to insert it. There are also some segments that automatically advance, such as the naughty foreplay sections and all of the sex sections. In these sections, most of the time when you get through with the segment it automatically goes into an orgasm segment for Tera before going back to the standard segment. These were common problems when this DVD was released, and once again, I’ve seen it a lot worse than this in recent times.

My Plaything: Tera Patrick is a very well done interactive sex DVD for the time it was released. Tera does a fantastic job keeping the “nice” mood nice and the “naughty” mood naughty, and puts some nice energy into both of them. She looks fantastic and makes it easy to look past some of the problems with the virtual mechanism and the pop shots. The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery contains well over one hundred fantastic snapshots of Tera. There’s also a few trailers and a blooper reel.

The blooper reel lasts about two and a half minutes. There’s plenty of Tera flubbing her lines and cracking up. There’s even a little talk back and forth about things like trying to figure out what to do for the fake animated pop. There’s also a bit of other fun for the camera that makes this a nice little extra.

Currently, many of Digital Sin’s My Plaything DVDs can be found online for between about $20 and $30, with most stores seeming to offer them in the $25 range. Whether this one is worth that kind of money to you depends on how much of a virtual sex fan you are. If you enjoy virtual sex releases, this one’s easily going to be worth it. If you’re new to virtual sex you might want to rent it before shelling out that kind of money. Regardless, it’s a DVD worth checking out with some great virtual sex with Tera, a bit of effort towards the extras, and great technical aspects. This is a great DVD for the time it was released.
