Godfather XXX: A Dreamzone Parody Review

Last year, I saw a wonderful all-digital presentation of THE GODFATHER (1972) at one of the last neighborhood single screen cinemas in the country. I especially loved the final outdoor conversation between The Godfather (Brando) and Michael (Pacino) as the son prepares to take over the business of the father.

Which brings me to Lee Roy Meyers GODFATHER: A DREAM ZONE PARODY (2012, Dream Zone Entertainment) that has a few creative porn parody ideas in its nearly 2 hour running time; however, Peter O Tool playing The Godfather in a non-sex performance and assorted porn performers look and sound nothing like their male counterparts from the original film and their ho-hum interpretations of dialog mostly lifted from the original script should induce dozing in between solid sexual encounters starring the likes of Bridgette B, Jessie Andrews, Veruca James, April O'Neil and Kagney Lynn Karter that are all well-captured by cinematographer Paul Woodcrest. Wide screen. No condoms.

The following is a review of Disc 1. Disc 2 was not made available to me and that's quite alright.

So, director Meyers gets the acting bug for this parody. He plays a disgruntled porn producer, who comes to The Godfather for a favor. His long winded rant opens this parody, which allows the Godfather to spew those "this I can not do" bits from the original film and to wonder aloud "where are my sons?"

Time for a sex scene between Bridgette B and Michael Vegas in a fine retro bedroom environ atop a red bedspread. Bridgette B has never looked better in this solid !!! encounter but her character, Lucy, is never heard from again. Vegas hangs around to poorly play Sonny; his character gets shot (many, many times) near the end.

Michael (Tommy Pistol) and Kay (Kagney Lynn Karter) sit alone at an outdoor garden party and talk about a few of the seedy characters that are a part of The Godfather's porn empire. Porn queen Jenny Fontaine (Jessie Andrews) comes to ask a favor of The Godfather, who gets in his "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse" bit in reference to a character named Putz (Mr. Pete) and then the action shifts to a villa where Putz is in bed and something mysterious awaits under the covers.

This okay parody bit segues into a fine encounter with Mr. Peter and Jessie 69ing each other then Jessie delivering a solid !!! 1/2 blowjob.

At this juncture, headlines from The Porn Valley Observer announce the shooting of The Godfather via a rival gang. And that's the end of O Tool and his tired non-sex performance. He's already played Ralph in THE HONEYMOANERS parody. What's next for him? How about Lee Roy Meyer's CANNON: YET ANOTHER DREAM ZONE PARODY?

Another okay parody bit playing on the "sleeping with the fishes" line from the original movie is just an excuse for a sex scene between two characters that are never heard from again. Luca Balsi(Anthony Rosano) and his wife (Veruca James) suck and fuck in a white bedroom environ; it's a fine !!! sex scene but it seems to belong in some other movie.

Finally, Michael's part of the story kicks in, which leaves Tommy Pistol to shoot blanks delivering dialog inspired from the original film. He meets up with a corrupt cop and Slutzo (April O'Neil) at a restaurant and excuses himself to the bathroom where a weapon is hidden. As in the original film, he's suppose to kill his dinner companions but the murder weapon is actually the best gag in this parody and it's used to segue into a fine !!! 1/2 sex scene with April and Tommy sucking and fucking in, on and around the restaurant furniture. April looks great especially those long legs then Pistol pops a weak cum shot that mostly drips down her boobs.

More Michael means more Tommy Pistol. Michael goes into hiding, not in Italy, but the next best place. Meanwhile, Sonny dies at the hands of some mysterious gunman and it's rather casually mentioned that The Godfather dies choking on an orange peel, which leaves Kay and Micheal to wander about in the woods and wonder about the state of their relationship. This segues into a final sex scene that abandons their wonderful outdoor environ in favor of a green couch on the inside. This solid !!! straight sex encounter fades out and that's it for this flick.

Give credit to director Meyers for changing a few of the male characters to female so that they can interact with male characters from the original story. The most glaring problem lies in the casting of said male characters with all neither looking nor sounding like their counterparts from the original film. Meyers also miscasts Jessie and Kagney. Jessie actually looks, sounds and acts a bit like Diane Keaton so she should have played Kay. Kagney Linn Karter playing a porn queen? Yep, that was the way to go.

So, Lee Roy Meyers uncorks a few porn parody surprises in GODFATHER: A DREAM ZONE PARODY (2012, Dream Zone Entertainment) but it's too bad that his two most important leads playing The Godfather and Michael are such weak actors as are the rest of the male performers. At least, the lovely ladies get to strut their stuff in some fine sex scenes. So, if someone offers you GODFATHER: A DREAM ZONE PARODY and it's more than $10; it's an offer you can certainly refuse. !! 1/2 outta !!!!!
