GIRLS WITH CURVES (1981, Cal Vista; VCX-Standard frame re-release, 2008) is yet another sexual awakening tale as a young Parisian virgin, Gale (Lise Pinson) leaves her sex-crazed friends and family to take a trip to Corsica where more sex-crazed folks await her. There, she finds a man from her past then returns to Paris with a special gift for her mother.

Directed by Jean Luc Brunet, GIRLS WITH CURVES shifts from the gritty streets of Paris, to a creepy hotel room in a seaside town, onto a ferry, to Corsica, and back again. The sex scenes are well-shot and well-staged but this dubbed in English version brings GIRLS WITH CURVES down a notch or two.

The film opens with a wonderful masturbation scene, which leads to a quick suck and fuck session between a horny woman (Helene Shirley) and her bored beau, (Eric Day) who entertains himself by spilling his creamy load into a cup of tea for the woman to sip and drink.

Younger folks on roller skates roll home from school and Gale arrives after her Mom's bored beau has already left. She tells her Mom about a party that night. She goes but leaves early when her boyfriend Thomas (Alain Alves) joins the rest of the naked teenagers that have paired off to fuck each other. Gale talks to a nerdy fellow virgin that looks like the Harry Potter character then leaves. Couples fucking include Laura Zanzibar and Alain Alves, a cute Cathy Dupray and some guy, Ingrid and Louison Boutin.

A frustrated Thomas wonders who Gale is seeing that next night. Turns out it's a dinner date with her father, who has forgotten about their Tuesday night get-together. He's too busy upstairs with a voluptuous black woman, who smokes a cigar out of the wrong hole. Gale wanders home and catches a glimpse of Mom fucking somebody. She reads erotic literature and plays with her pussy then decides to disappear for awhile for adventures of her own.

First, outside their appartment, she encounters a creep (Daoud) who pays her $50 for a hand job near the stairway. She uses that money to help pay for her trip to Corsica.

She takes the train to a seaside town where she meets another creep (Claude Valmont) who helps her get a hotel room to spend the night before the ferry ride to Corsica. He puts something in her drink then sneaks into her room to fuck her while she's in a doped-up state. It's a weird scene with the hotel's flashing neon light giving the scene a strange aqua-marinish hue as the dude steals her virginity. Gale awakens to a small puddle of blood in her bed.

The tone of GIRLS WITH CIRVES shifts here as a few guys in Corsica hook up with a beach bunny, (Dany Doll) for a comic xxx scene on the beach. Gale arrives and seduces one of the duo, Stephen (John Oury) but not before his sex starved-friend (a beautiful Dominique St. clair) humps him in the sand. These shadowy xxx beach scenes are okay, Gale and Steven's suck and fuck in the bedroom looks great.

Turns out Stephen is a mystery man from Gale's past and she persuades him to fly with her to Paris where he humps her Mom at the same time Gale sucks and fucks her young beau, Thomas.

So, the 82 minute GIRLS WITH CURVES (1981-Cal Vista) is in good shape up until the Corsica adventure when the film meanders a bit especially with poorly photographed sandy beach scenes. The film recovers with a solid two-in-one sex scene for the finale in Paris.

I would love to see this film in its original language, as is, GIRLS WITH CURVES receives !!! outa !!!!! Extras include the usual VCX trailers and bonus scenes, a photo gallery and legendary tribute with VCX.com plastered in the lower left corner.
