In the normal world, "classic" means something. Say "classic porn" and you might think of Deep Throat, Behind the Green Door, Sex World, The Devil In Miss Jones, Taboo, Debbie Does Dallas. But really—"classic" typically just refers to anything from the 70s to the mid-80s, shot on film and resembling something like a mainstream feature movie; the fact that it may be crap doesn't really matter.

"Girls with Curves" is a perfect example. It's not classic anything, but it comes from that era. Even the title is misleading: you'd hear "Girls with Curves" and think of Lisa DeLeeuw, Sue Nero, Kay Parker. But if I tell you it's French, you can still come up with Desiree Cousteau. But nobody in this movie sports larger than a B-cup. They're very pretty, but curvy they are not.

The plot has something to do about a girl who desperately wants to lose her virginity. Being a porn movie, it's accomplished, but being a porn movie, it's a wonder why it's such an ordeal. The movie is french and it's dubbed in that same god awful style as Japanese monster movies are dubbed, which makes it almost unwatchable without ruining the mood with unintended laughter. This is probably a movie best watched at a party where everyone's loaded.

Special Features: No extra scenes, but a better than average photo gallery and several trailers for other forgettable films.

Production values: the original is was shot on film. The print is pretty good but the quality varies a bit. The look and feel is about what you'd expect from late 70s/early 80s porno features. As mentioned earlier, the english-language looping is laughably bad.

Final verdict: It's your standard late 70s/early 80s porn feature—not a particularly good one, but not terrible. The title is misleading as none of the performers would be classified as busty. The sex scenes are par for the era—a bit softer than what we get today, but a little more realistic and romanticized. The video is pretty good, the english language dub is laughably bad. I'd recommend it only if you're a fan of one of the performers. Otherwise, you can do a lot better with a true classic.
