Initial Expectations: I haven’t seen much of Nacho behind the camera, but what I’ve seen has been very good. I’ve also heard great things about this one, which gives me very high expectations here.

Initial Reaction: It’s very well done, but didn’t always work for me.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting dark and intense sex which isn’t afraid to get a little nasty

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very good. The audio is clear and free of background noises other than what’s there deliberately to help out the scene. The video is also nicely done. It’s clear and the lighting varies throughout the movie artistically.

Music: None

Menus: The menus show the usual care one expects from Evil Angel. The main menu has some nice care and helps the movie make a great first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of each lady in the scene. There’s also a fetish menu which lets you jump directly to specific sex acts such as blowjobs, double penetrations, or cumshots.

The Feature

With Back 2 Evil, Nacho Vidal returns to directing for Evil Angel. Back 2 Evil takes on a secondary meaning as well, as each of the scenes have a very dark feeling, and Nacho never feels like a “nice” guy in the scenes. The scenes aren’t connected in any way other than having Nacho in them and the dark feeling.

Scene 1 - Velvet Rose, Katja Kassin, and Nacho Vidal

Things start out with Geisha Training. Velvet, dressed nicely in fetishwear, greets Nacho at the door to let him know that she’s having problems with one of the subjects. Katja fits the bill in most ways, but is a bit shy, which Velvet thinks Nacho can cure that. After Nacho gives Katja a quick examination they bring her upstairs and have her watch as Velvet sucks his cock. Nacho puts Katja to the cocksucking test next while Velvet spanks her and starts to warm up her ass. After a bit more oral and playing among the three of them, Nacho starts to fuck Katja from behind while Velvet watches and licks her ass. This is a pretty good scene, but didn’t work for me completely. It has a very artistic feel, which I didn’t expect, as well as a slightly rough feel. The girls are nicely into the action and play their roles very well. I really like the symmetry of the scene going from Katja’s pussy to Katja’s ass and then Velvet’s ass to Velvet’s pussy. Something was missing for me here, however, and I can’t place what it was.

Scene 2 - Alicia Rhodes, BOZ, and Wesley Pipes

This is a pretty hot scene. Alicia isn’t afraid to get a little nasty, which fits both Boz and Wesley extremely well. She really gets into it, and there’s great chemistry between her and the guys. My only complaint here is with some of the camera work, which seemed a little rough. There were a few times I wanted a slightly different angle, such as during the double penetration where you never saw both the penetration and Alicia’s reaction to it. It’s still a hot scene, but the roughness didn’t work as well for me as in some of Nacho’s other scenes.

Scene 3 - Ashley Long, Julie Night, Manuel Ferrara, and Nacho Vidal

Cherry Mafia has Julie walking the streets trying to sell her cherries. When she wanders down the wrong street, Ashley has Manuel and Nacho take her home and treat her like a dirty whore. Once again the camera work didn’t completely do it for me, but this is still an extremely hot scene. You can tell that Julie and Ashley want it hard and rough, and the guys are willing to give them just that. It’s an intense scene, but never lets you wonder if the girls are really into it. The camera work seemed a bit limited here, which I know is some of Nacho’s style, but here is seems a bit off. I think there was only one camera working here, and I couldn’t help but feel that because of it quite a few hot shots were missed. It’s still an extremely hot scene, but even though it’s extremely hot it also felt very slightly flawed.

Scene 4 - Avy Scott and Nacho Vidal

Jealous Monkey starts out with Avy apparently having been abducted by Nacho. He takes a few photos of her while she’s bound and gagged, making the monkey in the room jealous of the attention she’s getting. The Stockholm Syndrome slowly has its effect on Avy as Nacho talks with her and gives her a little wine. This is another great scene. It has some very powerful imagery, and I’m really glad that Nacho points out that it’s a non-gun in the behind the scenes, as it looked real to me right down to the markings. The monkey and piano noises also help to give the movie a very unique feel, but Nacho and Avy’s chemistry work with it very well. Avy does a fantastic job in the scene, and plays the submissive amazingly well. She does a fantastic job of playing both scared and turned on here, and even manages to do them both at once. This scene started out a bit rough for me, but ended up as one of my favorites in the movie.

Scene 5 - BellaDonna and Nacho Vidal

The Angel Collector finishes things up starting with BellaDonna prancing around a cage wearing black lingerie and wings. Nacho brings her some food and lets her know that he’ll never let her go, even though she says she should be free and white. Rather than setting her free, Nacho fucks Bella’s face, handcuffs her to the cage, and teases her ass with a cane. This is a great scene to finish things up with. Bella and Nacho make a great team, and fit each other perfectly. There’s great energy and chemistry here, and the dark feel finishes things off very well. The camera work feels much better here, and this scene feels like a perfect finish to the movie, right up to the twist at the end.

Back 2 Evil is a unique adult film that although very well done, I can’t see working for quite a few people. The scenes all have a very dark feel and a fairly primal style of camera work combined with an artistic eye and intense sex. It’s a very unique combination, and I can’t say that it always worked for me. The dark feeling held the movie back for me, but at the same time I couldn’t help but admire Nacho’s artistic vision here. Every scene drew me in, although there were times when I was squirming in my chair with a bit of discomfort at what I was watching. The main thing which saved it for me was that although some of the images were disturbing, the cast always seemed to be into it. Yes, there was some fear in their eyes, but there was a passion there as well. The sex was always intense, but the primal camera work sometimes held the scenes back as I wanted to see things different from what I was being shown and sometimes never got to see things how I wanted to. Back 2 Evil does a great job of showing how talented and artistic Nacho Vidal can be behind the camera, but it certainly won’t be for everyone.

It’s a very nicely done behind the scenes featurette, and gives you pretty much everything you could want and more.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most Evil Angel releases can be found online for between $18 and $28 with many stores offering them for around $20. I’d suggest renting this one first for the simple reason that the feel of the movie won’t be for everybody and I think many people will either completely love it or completely hate it. It does have some very hot sex, nicely done technical aspects, and some nice effort towards the extras. This is a very nicely done DVD.
