Throat: 12 Years After is an excellent character-driven drama from director and writer Gerard Damiano. Throat: 12 Years After looks at the love lives of two couples and features an excellent cast and an enjoyable story. Ignore the implied connection to Damiano's earlier film Deep Throat and definitely watch this film it is worth it. THROAT...12 YEARS AFTER. Again, tells the story of two very different couples. The first being "Walter"(George Payne) and Marsha(Michelle Maren), who have now been married for 5 years. And it is during that time that the couple has had little to no sexual interaction with each other. Despite Marsha's mother urging her on to bring about grandchildren. Walter and Marsha's relationship dynamic changes. However, when each of them have a sexual encounter independent from one another, with another person Walter with a gum-chewing 19 year old hooker(Sharon Mitchell). While Marsha enjoys a playful romp with "Joe"(Eric Edwards) the couple's long-time meter man. The two separate experiments then, finally open up the couple to experiences of their own with one another as they become more and more adventurous and curious. [read the full review]
