It's a hefty dose of reality--and reality ain't always fair--for a trio of young women trying to chase down their dreams and make their way through the dirt and grime that is the Big Apple of the early 1980's. Indeed, "Roommates" from Chuck Vincent and Video-X-Pix, an exceptional, 1981 release, brings together a former prostitute trying to escape her past (Samantha Fox), a drug-addicted model who seems to find trouble everywhere she turns (Kelly Nichols), and an aspiring actress from out of town (Veronica Hart) as newly-minted roomies in the rough life of NYC.
