review from 10/8/2002:
Conquest is a fun plot-based adult film that is sure to please fans of tamer sex and porn with a plot. The plot is more developed than most modern adult erotica boasting great sets and costumes. Some viewers may be turned off by the slow motion used in the sex scenes or the developed plot portions of the film. Due to the tame sex, couples audiences may find this film to be perfectly accessible. Viewers who hate a plot will probably find this film not to be of their liking. For those who think the film sounds good to them, I heartily recommend purchasing it as chances are you will find yourself re-watching this title. [read the full review]

review from 9/25/2000:
The Plot: Yep, not every great movie makes a whole hell of a lot of sense. Conquest is a good example. Our lovely tale of lust and torn bodices starts with a hanging. John "Dutch" is about to die for his crimes as a pirate. Sentenced to hang by his neck until dead (Does anyone just hang by the neck until uncomfortable?), John is rescued at the last second by his Captain, his fellow crewmen and the timely intervention of a chick with big tits. Naturally, no good deed goes unpunished, and we are treated to watching the crown prince (hilariously overplayed to perfection by somebody who deserved more credit) rant & rave about "Blackheart", our hero. Speaking of our hero, he and his crew are resting in the Batcave before setting sail. Captain Steubing receives a navigation chart and instructions to meet up with the rest of his crew at an uncharted island. Instead of thwacking the guy over the head for giving him a chart and instructions for an uncharted island, he wanders off to brood over the loss of his family. [read the full review]

review from 10/19/2019:
Heartache and despondence follow, when a beautiful, young woman, played by the legendary jessica drake, loses her beloved husband, Ryan Driller, at far too young of an age. Indeed, drake's grief-stricken character finds herself in the pits of despair and struggles both emotionally and sexually to survive. Confusion and emptiness abound, and whether she will be able to pick up the pieces of her broken heart and broken dreams remains to be seen. So goes "Lost Love", an extraordinary release from the famed director, Brad Armstrong, and Wicked Pictures. [read the full review]

A gripping new story from Brad Armstrong for Wicked Pictures starring jessica drake who does excellent work here appearing in three full sex scenes plus two solo teases along with her awesome acting which is on full display throughout. Penny Pax, Kira Noir and Jessie Lee also appear in this show doing fine acting themselves along with having some sex fun too. The ending was very much a surprise for me and I imagine will be for a few of you watching this release. [read the full review]

review from 6/23/2019:
When it comes to the AVN Awards and the porn parody category, it's pretty much a lock that Axel Braun will win. For the comic book nerds/geeks, he's pretty much taken the whole erotic fan fiction genre and brought it to life for our pleasure. And that aspect is where he really shines, although sometimes the sex scenes fall a little flat for me. It is wrong or unfair to want some explosive and energetic scenes no matter what genre it is, I do think that the Romi and Ramon scene was the standout and highlight for me. But when it comes to parodies, I think you are more interested in the story, set up and Easter eggs that lead up to the sex between some of your favorite characters. Some major kudos to Seth for his great Ryan Reynolds impression, a definite highlight, but I know Axel puts in some work determining who is going to be in his movies. He also deserves some love for the script as well, really does a nice job of incorporating the original as well as throwing in a few twists... [read the full review]

review from 12/31/2018:
This recent release from Axel Braun for Wicked Comix visits a genre he is quite familiar with the parody. The show here was perfect too for such a treatment. Deadpool!!! Yeah this R rated Hollywood show now gets the full blown XXX make over though really they just needed to add in the sex, lol. Seth Gamble is spot on in the title role and the supporting cast is strong as well featuring jessica drake, Jennifer White, Nikki Delano, Ana Foxxx and with non sex appearances from Axel himself, James Bartholet, Avi Love and Wil Ryder! There is plenty of story here to laugh along with and of course plenty of XXX sex as well. [read the full review]

In the film, THE BLONDE DAHLIA, Amber Brooks(Asa Akira) is the type of bumbling cop that one wonders just how she got into her position of Detective in Homicide. Nevertheless, we joined her, as she and her partner, Hammond(Michael Vegas) are investigating the most recent in a string of identical murders. As it turns out, there is a serial killer on the loose. He has a specific type. Blondes in their late 20s. As well as a way of doing things. He strangles each of his victims with the same brand of cheap, Paisley print necktie. [read the full review]

A recent release from Brad Armstrong for Wicked Pictures. This story takes us to the lone star state where we enjoy a tale of a preacher's daughter falling for a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Award Winning Director Brad Armstrong gives us a taste of what happens when Erotic Drama and Reality collide. Asa Akira and Jessica drake are incredible in this Art Imitating Life exploration. Zoe (Jessica drake) is a journalist assigned to do a story on Asa Akira, a world famous pornstar whos just written a book thats getting lots of mainstream interest. Zoe is understandably nervous about what the next few days have in store for her, but before long she has Asa revealing her deepest, darkest secrets for all the world to see. As the interview continues it becomes a game of cat and mouse with Zoe trying to get her story, and Asa teasing and taunting her, trying to lure the straight-laced reporter into her web and over to the dark side. The sexual tension is undeniable and Zoe quickly learns theres a fine line between reporting the story and becoming the story. [read the full review]

The latest epic release written and directed by Brad Armstrong. It features Wicked contract stars jessica drake and Asa Akira. The female cast also includes the likes of Adrianna Luna, Capri Cavanni and Asphyxia Noir in various roles. Strong male performers were used to tell the story as well, Tommy Gunn, Xander Corvus and Steven St. Croix are among the dudes used. The story centers on jessica drake who experiences a life threatening injury and is taken to the hospital where a surgeon fights to save her. jessica while under anesthesia is taken to the underworld where she has her own unique experiences as she experiences a journey to see if her life will be spared. Colorful characters are met along the way and they tie in with events going on above. It was very interesting how Brad tied the two worlds together like this and I suspect fans will enjoy the ride. A robbery gone bad leaves jessica drake clinging to life in a hospital's operating room...and her boyfriend--Steven St. Croix--powerless to help. In the anesthesia-induced haze that ensues, jessica embarks upon a dangerous and sexualized journey during which she encounters myriad bizarre characters and places. As her mind conjures up these visual manifestations of the events transpiring in reality, it remains to be seen whether she will make it through, or whether she will be forced to the other side. Such is the case in Brad Armstrong's "Underworld" from Wicked Pictures. An utterly exceptional endeavor, this feature production hits everything almost perfectly. From the scorching and well-captured sex (including multiple anals and a jessica drake DP) to the excellent plot and perfect casting, production values, and costuming, this one is simply awe-inspiring. A release from 2013 starring the lovely jessica drake who plays a secret agent in pursuit of a bad man, Brad Armstrong. He like all villains wants to rule the world and has a device that he thinks will get the job done. So it's up to jessica to try and thwart this plan. It involves chasing a perp through the seedy city streets at night, playing a cheerleader in order to gain access to vital computer intel and finally fucking the bad man himself in the finale to try and save the day. In between we have some funny moments courtesy of Steven St. Croix in a choice supporting role and from Brad too who is great here playing an over the top Bond style villain. Bonnie Rotten also has a choice supporting role in this and it was good to see her in something that wasn't balls to the wall hard core. Asa Akira shows up too as Brads top lieutenant engaging with a hot one on one with miss drake mid film. It's a top notch flick well worth the time to check out. The story is very good as was the sex. review from 7/30/2013:
With only her wits, womanhood, and wacky weaponized condoms to aid her, super-agent jessica drake must bring down the evil mastermind, Brad Armstrong, in "Sexpionage: The Drake Chronicles". An excellent comedic spy thriller from director Scott Allen and Wicked Pictures, this flick not only delivers quite well on the plot, but also features super-hot sex. With an industry veteran like jessica drake as its star--and the likes of Bonnie Rotten, Teal Conrad, and Asa Akira thrown into the supporting mix--this should come as no surprise to anyone. Indeed, the fucking is hot all-around...especially with jessica and Bonnie taking on the anal duties...and it plays well with the storyline. Other than drake--who is always at the very top of the game--tatted stunner Bonnie Rotten also drives home a win. Her ass-pounding, ball-busting sequence with Steven St. Croix is a scorcher-and-a-half. Indeed, with all of this, it's quite easy to recommend this flick to just about anyone with a pulse. It's hot sex and horny high jinks galore when the guys look to the internet for wives in "I Was A Mail Order Bride", a very good comedy from Brad Armstrong and Wicked Pictures. Featuring seven individual sequences, each with its own mini-plot, this one is fun and involves some sexy fucking from a super-strong cast. The best of the scenes belong to Brooklyn Lee and Asa Akira--both anal--though that of Latina spitfire Veronica Rodriguez deserves a strong mention, as well. The only one that really doesn't work out is Tori Black's, as there's no meaningful sexual contact between herself and her partner...(such a waste of talent). Regardless, there's plenty of very good content in this one, certainly enough to warrant checking it out. [read the full review]

review from 2/1/2014:
A Wicked release directed by Brad Armstrong starring jessica drake in the lead role. This show was release about mid year in 2013 and takes place in the not to distant future when money/ credit cards are no longer used. Instead a system of credits is used for everything including a big commodity-- SEX!! jessica is a girl that works in this trade and the story centers around her world where she along with a couple other girls satisfy their various clients. One such client is burned by one of jessica's girls and it sets in motion events that help conclude this story in dramatic fashion. It's a good story and is well worth taking the journey in watching. Asa Akira also appears in this release as does former Wicked girl Julia Ann who does anal in her 2 on 1 with jessica and Brad. Definitely a must see for fans of these ladies. [read the full review]

review from 4/19/2013:
Sex, lies, and murder entangle the beautiful jessica drake, a high-end call-girl of the future whose friend's unscrupulous dealings drag her into a serious predicament with an equally serious bad guy. Such is the case in "Sex", an excellent production from director Brad Armstrong and Wicked Pictures. Set in a future world in which prostitution is legal and credits transferred via bar codes tattooed onto peoples' arms are the currency of the day, this flick features the always-awesome jessica as a successful, high-class working girl. Indeed, she's simply living the good life as the film goes along...enjoying the sex and the money to their fullest...until her friend (Asa Akira) makes a big mistake that pulls her into a shady situation with the wrong person (Steven St. Croix). From there, things get tricky, and it's up to jessica to find (and fuck) her own way out. [read the full review]

review from 11/24/2019:
A young, self-conscious editor and wannabe writer, the adorably sexy Kenna James, adopts a glamorous and sophisticated persona, that of her penname, "Maxine Powers", to both fit in and try to fool her co-workers, after she's offered a big writing contract by the boss, Brad Armstrong. Whether she'll be found out or pull it off--and whether it ultimately matters--quickly become the questions of the day. What is for certain, however, is that there will be a lot of hot fucking and sucking along the way. Such is the case in "Stranger Than Fiction", a very good, 2019 release from Wicked Pictures and director Holly Randall. [read the full review]

review from 1/16/2020:
Another year of AVN voting, which means the potential pile of movies for me to review continues to grow faster than I can keep up. This was actually a double dip for me, as it was an AVN nominated film, as well as one that was sent to me directly from Adam & Eve. This was nominated a few times, leaning more towards the acting side, but has some stiff competition in those categories with the big dramatic releases. But if you are a fan of Scrubs, and of course you can't go wrong with the comedic styling of Tommy Pistol. [read the full review]
