The Movie

Wanted is an enormously lavish and beautiful production to come from Wicked Pictures and Adam & Eve. It was the pet project of writer, director, and star Stormy Daniels, which shows in the final movie. Wanted is an adult western where in 1879 in Diablo City, Arizona, Frank Garrett (Jake Jacobs) leaves a deed to part of his ranch and a map to something to prostitute Joanna (Annika Albrite), who he has been cheating on his wife with. The corrupt sheriff Clayton (Steven St. Croix) wants the land so after Frank ends up dead, he has Joanna arrested for his death. Dani (Stormy Daniels) saves Joanna from hanging and Clayton sends bounty hunter Morgan (Brendan Miller) after them.

The sex scenes fit in well with the plot and are well done. The cast stays in character and the scenes are well shot. The only issue with them is they are on the long side for a feature. They are shorter than the average sex scene that is put into an adult feature these days, but still long enough that they interrupt from the story. The movie would have benefited from the scenes being shorter and more tightly edited with the longer versions available as extras on the release.

Wanted is a visually beautiful movie. Careful attention to what is in the frame and what isn't in the frame was taken. Far more than what tends to these days with some magnificent shots of the western environment. The end result is a magnificent movie to watch. The sets and locations used are well done as well and give the movie a nice western atmosphere as well. A lot of work went into making Wanted and it shows.

The story isn't half bad either. It is ultimately a little on the thin side but that is often the case with adult movies and the plot is above average for what is generally coming out of the adult industry these days. All in all, Wanted is definitely worth watching and one of the best features of 2015.

The Edition

Wicked and Adam & Eve have done an impressive job with this two disc release. The feature film is on the first disc. Wanted is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The transfer on the disc is absolutely beautiful. The image is crisp and clear with nice detail. Flesh tones look accurate and colors look wonderful.

Wanted is presented with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The audio track offers a great surround mix offering nice depth to the movie. Dialog is easy to hear and the movie sounds great.

The only extra that Wicked and Adam & Eve have included on the first disc is just the theatrical trailer. The second disc in the set is only extras of which Wicked and Adam & Eve have included a multitude. Most of the extras would be a behind the scenes featurette, which Wicked and Adam & Eve have broken into several pieces. There is “Calm Before the Stormy” a behind the scenes piece that runs for 8 minutes. “Diablo City,” an 8 minute behind the scenes piece on day three and sets. “Saloon Days,” an 8 minute behind the scenes piece covers day five and production problems. “On the Range” covers shooting in the wild and runs for 9 minutes. “The Homestead” covers day four of shooting and runs for 8 minutes. There is also “Cowboys & Cowgirls,” a thirty five minute piece of cast interviews.

Wicked and Adam & Eve have included the music video for the song “On the Run” by Brendon Miller and the Wicked Outlaws. And they have included a photo gallery on the disc.

There are also bonus sex scenes from other Wicked titles. The Stormy Daniels and Brendon Miller scene from Pretty Dangerous is included on the disc. Along with the jessica drake and Tyler Nixon scene from Aftermath. The bonus scenes conclude with Allie Haze and Jake Taylor's scene from Love, Lust and Longing.

Final Thoughts

Wanted is one of the best feature adult movies to be made in 2015 and features a great cast, some good acting, an enjoyable plot, and great cinematography. If you only check out a few of the films from last year, make sure this is one of them. Wicked Pictures and Adam & Eve have done a great job with this release.
