It's like a totally awesome time, for sure, like ya' know... when a pair of 1980's LA dykes lose their source of income and opt to pimp out a local group of valley girls as a means of making ends meet. Of course the girls, who are totally tubular tarts to begin with, are all down for it, especially needing money to buy clothes at the mall and all, which is like having a super rad sale. Such is the case in "California Valley Girls", a very good, 1983 release from VCX and director Hal Freeman. [read the full review]

With that in mind, Blue Ribbon Blue presents itself as a greatest hits package of classic stars. Unfortunately, it's not. In fact, it was produced years ago before its performers were even considered legends, and its poor mastering reflect just how much of a thrown together effort it actually is.
