review from 6/8/2005:
Sin City Ultra presents: Stalker Directed by: Francios Clousot - Initial Thoughts: The last couple of Sin City feature films, have impressed me a great deal. In an age when feature films are either really bad or barely mediocre, with just a few great examples of adult film coming out from a few studios, Sin City has seemed to have made a serious effort to rejuvenate the genre. Vivid's idea that a feature should not exceed 70 minutes wasn't getting it, and Wicked and a few others that usual do get the features right, have been dipping down that road too often on occasions, so I have found it a great change of pace to see Sin City come out with over 2 hour epics lately and most importantly, put in some proper effort. This disc stays right along that path of recent successes too, as we follow Hannah Harper who plays Holly, a lingerie model with a dick head of a boyfriend and watch a man completely obsessed with her fall down the path of the darkside and end up in worse shape than Annakin Skywalker in the process. Digital Daydreams Initial Thoughts: I have to say, that this movie really impressed me, I came into watching this one really not expecting too much as far as the feature or the quality of the disc was concerned, I just liked most of the cast, and figured what the hell I'll try it out. It turned out to be a damned fine feature, and although there are some holes in the plot and things along those lines, it took me by suprise. The story is based 30 years in the future, although very little effort is made to make it appear so we follow the story based on some new VR technology and some subplots that feature a lot of Dale Dabone, who really does a more than decent job carrying his acting duties. In fact much of the acting is pretty decent for an adult feature, and it atleast gives the story some merit. The sex backs up the story nicely, well alright, the story backs up the sex well. The sex action is nicely shot, there is a good effort to give some mood to the scenes with lighting and camera shots, and as a rare thing these days, it's pulled off pretty well. Tongue in Groove's
review from 2/27/2005:
Undertow is a better than average porn flick. It features something rare indeed for the jizz biz good acting and a decent plot. Unfortunately, the cast doesnt put as much work into the sex as they do into their dialogue. Steven St. Croix, arguably the best actor in the industry today, is host of an underground TV show titles Thrill Kill Zone. The show deals with street racers. Because of his involvement in that sport, he is recruited by Dale DaBone to be an informant for the FBI as the agency tries to get the goods on Irish terrorist Evan Stone, who is also involved in the illegal races. This may be the first porn movie in history to include not one, but two, sword fights on a beach. No, not those kind of swords; real Japanese fighting swords. Theres pretty good editing as Evan and Steven battle on the sand and look convincing while doing it. But we watch porn for sex, and there just isnt enough heat among the performers to make it very interesting. [read the full review]

morbidthoughts'
review from 8/29/2004:
I originally wrote a longer review revealing plot points and such but it got lost. So this is a defacto quick & dirty review from memory. Steven St. Croix is a lawyer and is an asshole. Two things that hits close to home. He cheats on his wife with many women, makes life a living hell for his coworkers, and refuses to give his wife a divorce despite her knowing his adulteries because... he actually might love her in a sick way. You just can't help but root for the guy. Steven St. Croix & Aurora Snow: Steven just had a long day of power games with Evan Stone. How does he relieve his stress? By visiting one of his mistresses. Aurora as always looks great and a complete sexual dynamo. She controls this scene but the lighting is an artistic overexposed window lighting with a bluish tone that annoys the hell out of me. I'd rather see Aurora in realistic colour. Scene ends in a facial. She tells him she loves him. You don't tell that to a power hungry lawyer without giving up the butt! Steven St. [read the full review]

Linus'
review from 2/19/2005:
Friends and Lovers Initial Thoughts: This one is decent, it has some goods and some bads as usual in almost anything but especially porn. The goods are for starters, the very hot cast of ladies, a pretty strong list of extras and generally some nice looking eye candy style sex. The bad would start with the fact that for a couples aimed feature sex movie, the sex is not all that passionate and at times there isn't a lot of chemistry showing through in the scenes. The editing is also rather poor and many of the camera shots have that cable version feel to them, and it really doesn't help to generate any sexual heat. As far as the story goes, don't hold your breath, basically this group of friends and fuck buddies get together for a party or barbecue if you will, and most of them end up fucking one another throughout the course of the movie. Coyote22's
review from 4/7/2004:
Reviewed By: Coyote22 INITIAL THOUGHTS: This is my first Sin City feature, so I really dont know what to expect. The dvd cover looks well done and based on the present features out there this should be decently put together, at least from the technical end. There is a decent cast as well, so hopefully the sex will be good. VIDEO/AUDIO: The video was in a widescreen presentation. The video was rather good without any harsh grain or artifacts. The audio was well done as well. THEMES: Anal, Oral, Slapping, Girl on Girl EXTRAS: Directors Commentary, Bios, Interviews, Behind the Scenes (16:00), Sex Talk, Photo Gallery, Pop Shots, Bloopers, and Website Stuff. CAST: Jamie Brooks, Brittney Skye, Kelli Jennsen, Lara Lewis, Pason, Steven St. Cox, Trevor Zen, Mr. Pete, and Eric Masterson HOW I RATE: I rate in an un-bias way; meaning I will not let something come in my way of reviewing a film before I see it; I make sure to give every film I review a fair chance! I will try to give a detailed description of the film that way you (the reader) will get a real sense [read the full review]
