Whatever It Takes (Wicked) Review

Zoe (Tori Black) and her out-of-work hubby (Barrett Blade) share moments of marital bliss as the two suck and fuck before Zoe heads off to work in director Stormy Daniel's 86 minute WHATEVER IT TAKES (2010, Wicked Pictures) that's shot in HD with condoms used.

When Zoe also loses her job, she consults Amber (Stormy) who leads her into lucrative but dangerous "side work" as an escort. Zoe hides her new chosen profession from her hubby but eventually admits everything when something happens to Mindy (Mac Kenzee Pierce) after she subs for Zoe. Will their marriage survive this big revelation?

Like so may other recent Wicked Productions, WHATEVER IT TAKES covers ideal xxx territory by incorporating a variety of adult themes but it's poorly constructed as a few sex scenes favor other Wicked performers like Stormy and Mac Kenzee instead of concentrating on Tori's character and her descent into her secretive life of escorting. In other words, V-THE HOT ONE, this ain't.

Tori Black and Barrett Blade's opening sex scene is solid straight sex stuff (!!!) that establishes their relationship that's strained from his being out of work. Stormy's straight sex encounter with a future groom (Brendon Miller) after his bachelor party (!! 1/2) is fine but means little to the plot especially since the main protagonist is waiting out in the car because she was unable to go through with her first escort encounter. The third sex scene (!! 1/2) shows Tori finally completing her first escorting gig when she trades dildo plunges with business woman Lisa Ann. Tori and Anthony Rosano's straight sex encounter is also fine (!!!) but, really, what difference does it make if Anthony plays her ex-boss if nothing is further done with his character? Lame. Mac Kenzee Pierce takes on a couple of guys in the final sex scene (!!!) but it just sits there in all of its double penetration glory then, for some unknown reason, the guys kill her, which is later revealed via dialog. Why? Well, just to move Tori's character to finally reveal her double life to her frustrated hubby.

So, once again, another Wicked feature is too interested in giving its supporting players a chunk of sex scene screen time instead of concentrating on the main character/plot of the feature. Tori Black seems comfortable enough in her role so why sabotage a story that showcases her in favor of extraneous sex scenes from other performers?

Special Features of note include a Tori Black bonus scene from WHAT WENT WRONG, a 16 minute BTS, a 3 minute Photo Gallery, 6 Stormy trailers and the Wicked Promo Reel.

Final rating for WHATEVER IT TAKES (2010, Wicked Pictures) is !! 1/2 outa !!!!! for losing its focus on the main character in favor of a mediocre Stormy Daniels scene and an extraneous Mac Kenzee Pierce double-penetration encounter. Both complete scenes could easily be bonuses in the Special Features.
