Trashy Lady is an old style gangster adult film that calls back to an earlier time and successfully pulls it off. Gangster Dutch Seagal (Harry Reems) ditches his old girl Jessie (Cara Lott) and falls for the new cigarette girl Katherine (Ginger Lynn). Katherine is to classy a girl for Dutch to be with so he hires Rita (Amber Lynn) to transform Katherine into the trashy Kitty. Big Louie (Herschel Savage) is doing time in the big house and gets news that Dutch is trying to move in on Rita and tries to put the hurt on Dutch.

Trashy Lady features a dynamo cast with many of the big names of the 80s, who all show why they became the adult stars that they did in this film. The cast stays in character throughout the sex scenes and manage to bring a great deal of heat into their scenes. In addition, the cast does a great job with their roles, bringing their characters to life in the film.

Trashy Lady is beautifully shot by cinematographer Tom Howard, who frequently worked with Sal Grasso. The film features amazing lighting and sets with careful detail with the costumes and even the cars used in the film. The end result is an adult film that looks like a mainstream film, which was produced at at time when the adult industry was mostly shooting on low grade video with only the most flimsiest of budgets.

Overall, Trashy Lady is a great film for viewers who like adult features where there is more to the film than just the sex. The acting is great and the film just looks beautiful in all aspects. Trashy Lady is highly recommended.

Vinegar Syndrome has done an amazing job with their release of Trashy Lady, which they have released in a Blu-ray/DVD Combo pack. Trashy Lady is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. On the Blu-ray, Trashy Lady is presented in stunning 1080p and on the DVD it is presented in 480p. The Blu-ray is nothing short of truly stunning. The image contains grain, print damage, and artifacts. The colors are bright, vibrant, and beautiful. I doubt that Trashy Lady could ever look any better than it does here. The DVD looks nice as well.

Trashy Lady is presented with an English DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 monaural audio track for the Blu-ray and an English Dolby Digital 1.0 monaural audio track for the DVD. The audio for both tracks sounds really good with no noticeable blemishes. Dialog is clear and easy to hear at all times.

Vinegar Syndrome hasn't included many extras but the value of what they have included makes up for the lack of extras. There are two feature length commentary tracks for the film. The first one has Tom Howard, the cinematographer for Trashy Lady, and B-horror film legend David DeCoteau, who worked in the adult industry under the name David McCabe. The second one has Herschel Savage, William Margold, and Joe Rubin. Both commentaries are great. Vinegar Syndrome has also included the 1971 film Coming West, directed by Steve Scott with Tom Howard as the cinematographer.

Trashy Lady is a fun adult feature from the mid-80s that boasts a great cast, nice sex scenes, and a well done film. Vinegar Syndrome has done an amazing job with this release making Trashy Lady come alive on the screen. The transfer is beautiful, crisp, and just amazing. Vinegar Syndrome has put an excellent collection of extras on the release. For fans of the genre, this is a no brainer.

Coming West is a short little adult tale that was made in the early 70s by Sal Grasso, who at the time predominantly made gay adult films. There isn't really a plot to be found in the film at all, the set-up for the film is, Kate (Maria Arnold), Peggy (Sandi Carey), and Molly (Starlyn Simone) on a road trip heading west just past Cheyenne heading toward Laramie. Kate, who is in the backseat, daydreams of life in the old west where the three are prostitutes who encounter a cowboy, Matt Timber (George Peters), and an Indian (John). There is enough to the set-up for the film that I would consider this a vignette film, where the whole film is one vignette over calling in a feature film or an all sex film.

Grasso has done a good job with the film. The film is nicely shot with better camera work (The film was shot by Tom Howard, a frequent cinematographer for Grasso.) than one often sees in adult work at this time period. You can see that work went into the different shots. And you can tell that, despite just being a vignette film, the non-sex portions were done with care as well, including the portions where there isn't a sex scene at all that were added just for the purpose of the vignette.

The sex scenes look nice and the cast is energetic in them. Grasso has managed to work some variety into the scenes and has done well with the limited budget. There isn't much non-sex acting work for the cast to do, so there aren't any issues on that front. Overall, Coming West is a fun little film that is worth a look.

Vinegar Syndrome has done a nice job with the release of Coming West. Coming West is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 and is on both the Blu-ray and the DVD. On the Blu-ray, Coming West is presented in 1080p and obviously on the DVD it is in 480p. The transfer looks beautiful. The image sports heavy grain, print damage, and artifacts. Colors are beautifully represented making for a great looking image.

Coming West is presented with an English DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 monaural audio track on the Blu-ray and an English Dolby Digital 1.0 monaural audio track on the DVD. The audio has crackles and pops throughout the presentation. Dialog is clear and can be heard at all times.
