Stray Cats (Video-X-Pix) Review

Playing Mara, tall and leggy Cody Nicole bleaches her hair blonde and struts her way to a terrific performance in Joe Sarno's STRAY CATS from 1984. This fine 85 minute feature also stars cute, frizzy haired Brooke Fields playing Jane as she deals with her bookie husband Wilson (Joey Silvera) and his straying ways. In typical Joe Sarno fashion, this flick deals more with the relationship between the two female leads as clueless male characters mostly are at the command of Mara, a very sexually liberated writer, who always has a guy or two dropping by her swank apartment. Standard frame. No condoms.

In the big city streets, high school pals, Mara and Jane, run into each other while jogging. Mara invites her to her place where Jane informs Mara that she's married to Mara's high school sweetheart, Wilson.

When Jane goes off to bath in the hot tub, Mara invites a few guys over to suck and fuck and "show off" for Jane, who watches the trio and masturbates. (The duo of Alan Adrian and George Payne is the eye candy for the ladies in this solid opening three-way)

From here to the hallway point, Jane and her relationship with Wilson become the focal point. A horny Jane beds her beau Wilson (a solid brief encounter between Joey and Brooke) then Wilson goes to his favorite local bar where he strays with a sexy blonde while Mara and Jane discuss how Wilson has been true to Jane so far. (A solid shadowy bedroom encounter ensues with the lovely Danielle delivering a kneeling blowjob)

So, as a bookie, Wilson is not bringing in much cash so Jane ends up working in an office where she allows herself to stray with her boss (Michael Knight) and his sister (Renee Summers) who literally drops in for a blowjob and more. (This solid but brief office three-way has a wonderful shot of Brooke kissing the boss while sis Renee blows her brother)

The second half of the flick begins with a guilt ridden Jane, who comes by and tells Mara about her office encounter. Here, Mara decides to drop a double bombshell on Jane-that she's still into Wilson and that she caught Wilson kissing that blonde at the bar. Jane is pretty confused by the wild turn of events so she sleeps with Wilson (another brief Brooke and Joey encounter) but ends up on Mara's doorstep to stay with her a few days.

The last third of STRAY CATS is full of wacky surprises as Mara lines up multiple men for Jane at her apartment (a scene with Brook and David Scott followed by another scene, a three-way with Brooke, David Christopher and Johnny 19) while she seduces then beds Wilson. (A solid encounter between Cody and Joey with cowgirl and mishing highlights)

Things get stranger as Mara and Jane share their love for each other then Mara introduces Wilson into the mix. Jane watches Mara suck his cock in Mara's living room then she eventually succumbs to Mara's prodding to join them for a delightful three way that ends this flick.

Wow! This totally unbelievable but incredibly fun flick benefits most from the cool calculating Mara character so perfectly played by Cody Nicole and all 6 ' 1" inches of her long and lanky bod. The Jane character presents a much more difficult role and Brooke Fields kinda stumbles her way through it. However, it's Joe Sarno and his usual focus on female characterizations that give this flick a unique vibe as Jane and Mara's friendship morphs into a relationship that opens the door for that marvelous menage-a-trois finale. Although Sarno wraps all of this up way too quickly, it's a marvelous ride as these cats stray back and forth for !!!! outta !!!!!

And now for some QUICKIES (Cody Nicole edition)---

As Roxanne Potts, Cody Nicole starred as the ship's captain in SEX BOAT (1980) and her late night fling with a pirate (RJ Reynolds) in the captain's chair is one of many highlights in this flick that brims with incredibly lovely females sucking and fucking their way through an ocean voyage with an assist from two guys (Turk Lyon and Randy West) in drag. Never looking better, Cody has only the one short sex scene but it's scorching---!!!!

Cody has a scene in Anthony Spinelli's HOT LINE (1980) that's mostly a starring vehicle for Jesie St. James about her phone sex biz. Cody lands in a couch with Herschel Savage and she looks fabulous with that long, darker fuller hair---!!!!

Cody also lands brief encounters with some major female talent from the era:

she has a delightful encounter with Marilyn Chambers in UP 'N COMING (1982) with Marilyn the one on the road again as a Country Western singer---!!!!,

in TOO NAUGHTY TO SAY NO from 1984, Cody dons a mask for an odd three way with Ginger Lynn and Eric Edwards then lands in the backseat of a locked car for the finale as she and the equally lovely and lanky Angel do one another while dudes masturbate in surrounding windows. She's in the credits as both "masked girl" and "helpful tourist" of this wild-dream with in a dream-flick---!!!!,

Then, Joe Sarno gives Cody the title role in DIRTY BLONDE (1984) as her series of sex scenes in the middle 1/3 of the film lead to the uncovering of a missing person plot solved by private eye, Honey Wilder, the real star of the flick---!!! 1/2
