Synopsis:
Shades of Sex volume 2 is a compilation of scenes from various Adam & Eve films.

Audio/Video:
The scenes in this compilation are presented with an English 2.0 Stereo track, which is most likely the original audio tracks for the scenes. The audio mostly consists of music with some sex dubbing. As the scenes come from various different films, the quality varies slightly from scene to scene, but in no scenes is there any unacceptable audio quality. Adam & Eve hasn't included any foreign language tracks or subtitle options on this disc.

When watching this disc, the layout of the film seems odd at first but quickly makes sense. The opening to the film and the first scene are presented in anamorphic widescreen in the aspect ratio of 1.85:1. This is the original aspect ratio for the first scene. At this point the film switches tracks and all of the rest of the scenes in the film are in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. All of these scenes appear to be in their original aspect ratio except for The Puppeteer, which I believe was originally filmed in a widescreen ratio. The reason that the film on side A is spread over two tracks is to allow the opening and the first scene to be presented in anamorphic widescreen. The video quality, as can be expected in a compilation, varies from scene to scene but is usually fine. In the fourth scene, too low of a bit rate is used and the scene exhibits pixels and in scene five there is abnormally high grain on the screen. The color levels are appropriately set throughout the film.

Special Features:
There isn't much on the disc for extras but viewers will be pleasantly surprised to find some bonus sex scenes on the flip side of the disc. The first scene is from Design for Desire featuring Kristal Summers, Zora, and Mark Davis. The second scene is from The Real Thing featuring Terri Summers, Orchidea, and Nikita Denise. The last scene is from Sex Across America 5 featuring Luc Wylder and Alexandra Silk. The only other extra on the disc is a photo gallery containing 27 stills from the film in thumbnail form. If you click on them, you can see the enlarged pictures.

Navigation:
There are nine chapters available from the main menu for Shades of Sex volume 2, one for each of the sex scenes. They are identified by a video clip from the scene and the name of the film that the scene came from. The film is contained on two tracks, one for the first scene and one for the rest of the film, which means that you can't reverse back to the first scene from the second scene. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
Shades of Sex volume 2 is a compilation film from various Adam & Eve films. They have collected scenes of all types, from two person scenes to orgy scenes to lesbian scenes and assembled them all into this package. One downside to the film is that Adam & Eve didn't break up the types of films too well and similar type scenes are often grouped together here. If they had been spread out I think the overall film would have played better.

The cast is a nice ensemble and off the top of my head I can't remember any cast members that I didn't like. On top of that the film features several females that I consider to be among the hottest in the industry, Shay Sweet, Charlie, and Adult DVD Talk forum regular Tricia Devereaux in a great scene on a pool table. The cast manages to create some great heat in their scenes and I can't think of any scenes where the cast members didn't appear to be having fun.

The sex scenes in the film vary from mediocre to excellent, thankfully there are more scenes on the excellent side than on the mediocre side. As this is a compilation, all semblances of plot in the scenes is lost so the film depends entirely on the scenes to drive the film. Fans of nasty sex will probably be disappointed by this collection as none of these scenes are really hard.

Of course, not every scene in the film is a complete winner, but that is to be expected with a film of this type. After watching this film, it makes me want to see some of these films in their entirety. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal, oral and anal sex with anilingus, anal fingering, lesbianism, orgy, female masturbation, toys, and interracial. For viewers that care about condom use, condoms are used in some of the scenes and not in others.

The Scenes:
The first scene, from Emerald Rain, brings us Alexa and Evan Stone. Taking place in front of a waterfall, the scene starts out with some pussy eating before the blow job. Then goes into the vaginal and anal sex before going back to the blow job. Evan cums off camera. The second scene, from Sex Across America 4: New York City, stars Alexandra Silk, Mr. Marcus and Tyler Wood. The scene starts out with a little anilingus and pussy eating before going into a blow job. They then go into the vaginal and anal sex with some anal fingering thrown in. The scene ends with Mr. Marcus and Tyler pulling their pud to release their loads.

The third scene, from The Fiesta, brings us Rita Faltoyano, Dale DaBone, Suzy Sweet, John Decker, Isabella, Evan Stone, Briana Banks, Alexa and Ava Vincent for an orgy scene including blow jobs and vaginal sex. The males wack off at the end of the scene to cum. The fourth scene, from X Girls, stars Shay Sweet and Silvia Saint for some lesbian action with pussy eating, female masturbation and toys.

The fifth scene, from KSEX 106.9 is another lesbian scene with Charlie and Monique featuring pussy eating and toys. The sixth scene, from Dreamscapes, brings us Gisella Yum and Gina Lynn for another lesbian scene featuring pussy eating and clit grinding. The seventh scene, from Sex Across America 4: New York City, features Alexandra Silk, Jade Marcella and Adajja for another lesbian scene featuring pussy eating and vibrators.

The eighth scene, from KSEX 106.9, features Tricia Devereaux and Julian St. Jox for some pussy eating, followed by vaginal and anal sex. Julian cums immediately to end the scene. The ninth and final scene, from The Puppeteer, features Alexis Amore and Lexington Steele for some female masturbation leading into a blow job followed by the vaginal sex.

Parting Thoughts:
As far as compilations go this is a great one from Adam & Eve. Although not every scene is a winner, there are many great scenes featured here with enough variety to please all but those who require nasty sex. If you are looking for some of the best of what Adam & Eve has to offer, this is a great film to pick up.
