Introduction

A relatively new release of Private is this 4 DVD pack of the Gaia series, directed by Christoph Clark. The common things between each film are: the director (obviously), the location (Europe), the menu(s), with a very relaxing music, and sex filmed in a couple-oriented way, which is not completely true.

My opinion about the whole pack and films included

First at all, I want to say that I'm quite interested in Clark as director of porn films. I never liked the way he acts/fucks, but he usually puts some interesting ideas in their films. I've discovered his work as director in some features produced by Marc Dorcel (you know, the famous french director), exactly in L' Obsession de Laure and L' Amour de Laure, both starring Laure Sainclair, a very horny girl... so I expected good movies in this pack. Certainly I've been right buying this pack, but it's a bit irregular in some ways.

The first film, called Les obstacles de l' amour , is the worst in this pack. I never liked Silvia Saint, but I think this is a predictible film in some ways. See details in the next review.

The second film, Weekend in Bologna, is better, but don't expect a plot. just good sex, not as hardcore as Evil Angel's Clark features, but good, anyway, and with some decent anal and DP.

The third film, The temptations of Clarisse, is the best film in this pack. This one was used by Private to promote the entirely series (for example, in Private DVD Sampler 6), and it's logical, because it brings a lot of sexy images. Maybe raincoaters prefer harder action, but even for them is a recommended film, seriously.

The fourth (and last) film is Profession: Porn Actress. The action is very hard for couples, this one could fit better in other Private series like Matador or Xtreme. I suppose this is harder because Clark was starting to make some movies for Evil Angel and he also prefered ending this series with nastier sex, as Private usually does when a series ends (like Matador or Private Penthouse).

What I Liked

The best things are: the reports (the best I've seen in porn films, really), the trailers of other titles, the menu design and the appearance of some famous pornstars, like Silvia Saint (I don't like Silvia Saint, though), Erika Bella, Nikki Anderson, Monica Roccaforte in her earliest appearances.

What I Disliked

The worst things are: the video (the quality is OK, but the video master is VHS, so it could be better) and male performer's look (most of them are ugly).


The Plot/Acting hasn't got much relevance because the plot is weak, but it doesn't pretend to be more interesting than what it is.

Overall Thoughts

If you like the earliest works of Clark as director, you should buy this pack. If you're interested on introducing your girl in porn stuff, buy it. If you like hard sex and gonzo films, rent Profession: Porn Actress and think about a possible buy. Overall, it's a good pack, though it could be better... recommended for Clark's fans! PS: Just for The temptations of Clarisse this pack deserves to be in your collection...
