Hey! More Vivid! This is what you would call "couples porn". This is the kind of DVD you would watch with a significant other. It's not raunchy at all. This is about as tasteful as a video can get without being declared softcore. Everything is revealed in detail, but it's done in a good fashion, if that makes sense. The storyline is light, with a very romantic feel.

The DVD is set in 1508, and the Pope needs the Sistine Chapel painted..but Michelangelo's too busy to do it. Instead, he recommends his sister, Michelangela, played by the stunning Dyanna Lauren. The Pope isn't interested (at least not yet) in having a woman do such an important job. Things change by video's end, though.

The best scenes, of course, involve the ladies. In the middle of the movie, Anna Malle introduces the virginal (ha!) Dyanna to the wonders of intercourse as the two go at it in one of the best lesbian scenes I've seen in a long time. Jenna Jameson, in one of her first roles, watches on from afar, and gets going afterward with Anna as Dyanna watches.

Negative time. The other scenes, which are strictly M-F or, in one case, M-FF, are nothing to really write home about, and seem like just something to pass the time. The plot is decent, but nothing big as well. To be honest, though, that wasn't the point. The plot and scenes shouldn't really be compared against normal videos, such as the others on this page. This is, as they say, a chick flick. It's not the type of video you would really watch alone, but with your girlfriend or wife on an otherwise-quiet night.

A couple of other silly notes - it's nice that the Pope is conscious enough to use a condom when pounding away at Dyanna in the final scene. And I didn't know they had tattoos or tanlines in the 16th century. Live and learn..

The DVD features are basically what you expect from Vivid. The multiple angles are very good in this one, existing on a number of scenes. However, for once, it really doesn't matter - the action's not really hot enough to warrant bothering flipping around to another view for.

The bottom line is that if you're looking for something to just watch to get your rocks off, look elsewhere for sure, because there isn't nearly enough here for you. If you're looking for a couples video, or something to use to introduce your lover to the wonders of adult erotica, this might be what you're looking for.
