The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty good. It’s clear and nicely balanced, but there are a few background noises during the outdoor sex. The video is okay. It’s basically free of grain and pretty well lit, but does have a few problems. There are a few spots which are slightly blurry, but for a bigger problem the video looks like it doesn’t know if it’s supposed to be in the full screen format or the letterbox format due to a large sized black bar across the bottom of the picture only.

Music: None

Probable False Advertising: The cover states Never Before Seen Footage! along with a running time of 101:31. Since MisSpelled’s IAFD listing shows a running time of 120 min., it’s hard to tell if this movie is released with extra footage or not. I did check a couple stores that offered this movie on VHS, and none of them showed a running time less than what was shown on the boxcover.

Menus: The menus aren’t too bad. The main menu is very simple and has a little animation. The chapter menu is nicely done and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the leading lady in the scene.

The Feature

Tina, Chloe, and Kylie are three witch sisters about to open their own store. Unfortunately, Kylie’s a bit of a bumbler and a meddler, which causes problems. When she casts a love spell the morning their store is set to open, she causes a power struggle between Tina and the head of the coven. Of course, she tries to set things right, but things don’t always go as she’d hope.

Scene 1 - Kylie Ireland and Chloe

Kylie’s reminded that a deal’s a deal when Chloe visits her wearing a strap-on under her jeans. They try a little roleplaying with Kylie wearing a red wig and Chloe playing the man as they watch a movie on TV. When Kylie discovers that Chloe put a hole in the popcorn container to stick her strap-on through she goes right to work sucking it. After Kylie ravages her cock orally, Chloe rewards her with a little tongue and finger action. She moves on to fuck Kylie’s ass before letting Kylie fuck her pussy with a black dildo and both her holes with a purple dildo. The girls finally bring things to a close with a few soft pecks and happy looks.

This is a very hot scene that’s held back to a much lower level. Kylie and Chloe make the scene a lot of fun right from the start and have some great chemistry. Unfortunately, the camera work and editing style never let it get as hot as Kylie and Chloe try to make it. I don’t think I saw five shots where you could see both the penetration and the girl receiving it through the entire scene. Instead the scene goes with extreme close-ups of the penetration or body parts and distance shots that show you the girls but no penetration. During most of the scene where Kylie was getting it in the ass I even doubted she was really getting fucked thanks to the camera work. Kylie and Chloe put enough into the scene to get it above average, but it should have went much further than that.

Scene 2 - Chloe and Chris Cannon

When Chloe’s conjured helper leaves them time to spare, she decides to have him complete one last task. Chris goes directly to fucking Chloe from behind. After an eye-rolling orgasm, Chloe rolls over for a little missionary work with Chris. She rolls onto her side a bit so Chris can slap her ass while fucking her, and continues to roll over as Chris fucks her. Finally, Chloe sucks Chris until he explodes on her neck.

This is another good scene which should have been better. Chloe and Chris have nice energy here, but once again the camera work holds it back. It has plenty of odd zooms and once again goes with a “softcore + hardcore extreme close-ups” style rather than showing a decent balance of camera angles and zooms.

Scene 3 - Elizabeth X, Alexandra Silk, and Julian

Elizabeth starts out the next scene as the meat in a Julian / Alexandra sandwich. She munches on Julian’s meat while Alexandra sticks a strap-on into her creamy center before moving up so that Alexandra can watch from underneath and give them an occasional lick as they fuck. Alexandra gets a little action with some reverse cowgirl anal next before Julian strokes himself onto her tits.

This is an okay scene even at its best. The chemistry here isn’t nearly as strong as in the pervious scenes, and the camera never seems to go out of extreme close-up mode, even when it goes up to show the face on one of the girls. This scene barely did anything for me, which was a major disappointment since normally I look forward to Elizabeth X’s scenes.

Scene 4 - Kylie Ireland and Kyle Stone

When Kyle shows up professing his undying love for Kylie and demanding to pleasure her, she just can’t say no. She lets him tongue her twat in the kitchen as she sits on the counter before getting down so he can fuck her from behind. Kylie hops down to suck and stroke Kyle before letting him spoon her. He moves on to eat and fuck her ass before finally popping on it.

When I tried to come up with a word to describe this scene, I had a hard time getting beyond “sucks”. As usual Kylie puts some nice energy into the scene, and she and Kyle have some nice chemistry as well. Unfortunately, the camera work ruins it. It seemed intent on using odd camera angles, and I have no doubt that if there was a midget with a pogo stick available we’d have footage shot from his perspective. This should have been a hot scene, but ends up a dud instead.

Scene 5 - Tina Tyler and Julian

Tina takes her turn with Julian next. She starts off taking his cock as far back into her mouth as she can manage, and even looks to get it into her throat. Tina climbs up to ride him cowgirl style before letting him spoon her. Finally, Tina lets Julian have a little missionary action before stroking him onto her great natural rack.

There’s nothing too surprising here. Julian and Tina both look to put everything into the scene that should make it great, but since whoever was behind the camera forgot their Coke-bottle thick glasses the day the movie was shot everything has to be so close that it makes your eyes hurt. This is yet another disappointment that shouldn’t have been.

Scene 6 - Chloe and Dizzy Blond

Chloe starts out the penultimate scene getting down to slurp away on Dizzy’s dick. She lets him fuck her from behind before they fuck while sitting on the floor facing each other. Finally, Dizzy nails Chloe’s ass from behind before spewing his seed on her back.

This scene almost makes it to the average mark. Somebody actually showed the cameraman how to zoom out a little so you could see something. Unfortunately, Dizzy seemed more like he should be playing on the other team rather than working with Chloe, which held the scene back for me a little.

Scene 7 - Kylie Ireland and Eric Bishop

Kylie starts out the final scene sucking Eric’s schlong while giving him some great eyes. Eric plays the gentleman by tonguing her holes before fucking her from behind and missionary style. Finally, Eric decorates Kylie’s great tits.

This scene lost me almost immediately. The camera work on the blowjob is so bad that most of it you either see a close-up of Kylie’s tits or a close-up of the cock that doesn’t even let you see Kylie’s face! That’s followed up by a little epileptic camera work for the pussy eating and other horseshit camera work. This was a horrible scene to finish things with, but Kylie did look like she was doing a good job.

MisSpelled, which is about things that don’t go as they should, seems to have fallen under its own spell. It’s really too bad, since there is a good movie hidden in here. Chloe, Tina, and Kylie do a very nice job as the witches, and there’s some decent supporting performances as well. Unfortunately, the camera work and editing all but ruins it. It focuses on close-ups and moves around so much that I started to get a little motion sickness while watching it. There are times when the camera just moves around like somebody had a little too much cough syrup that morning and is trying to focus on the action but can’t. There were even times when I wasn’t even sure what position the cast was trying to fuck in, which is really sad since they don’t try anything too acrobatic. It’s too bad since there is a lot of good sex here, but the cameraman and editors couldn’t translate it to the screen. MisSpelled looks like you’re watching it through the eye of newt and is plagued by bad luck!

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of VCA’s DVDs can be found online for between about $8 and $25 with stores offering them everywhere in between. I’d rent this one first as I don’t think it even has the replay value for eight bucks. There’s good sex, but the camera work sucks. The technical aspects also leave a little to be desired at times and there’s nothing worth mentioning for extras.

Note to VCA: I know that this is one of your older DVDs, but it’s nice to see that so early on you put the extra care into things like the chapter menu.
