What we have here in this Bud Lee VCA release is a series of cliched porn vignettes executed pretty damned well. A group of easily aroused women meet once a week to swap sexual stories and fantasies, and of course, once each begins her tale, we fade into her stand alone sex scene. And yes, the scenes involve delivery men, pool boys, grocery clerks, and other staples of porn plot professions. Yet, it doesn't matter what the men do for a living, or how they end up between the ladies' thighs, because like any good porn it's about how hot the sex is, and frankly, the sex is pretty hot.

Of course, this is DVD porn, so we get a some extra features the VHS renters miss out on. Not the least of which are multiple angles that actually work instead of annoy. Switching angles on your DVD remote, more often than not, is akin to switching lanes in a traffic jam--you always seem to pick the wrong one. It is an extra feature, though, and it's used well. The picture here is also crisp considering it comes from videotape. Besides the chapter menu and star biographies, the only other extra presented is a pretty good preview for Marilyn Chamber's comeback effort Still Insatiable. But enough about the extra's, there's porn to be had...

First up is Dee, who relates her story about a visiting pool boy she just had to take advantage of. Her scene with the pool boy is a good introduction to those who might not have been treated to her in the past. We get some well shot outdoor sex by the pool as Dee first treats us to some slow head and eventually climbs aboard for some cowgirl action. If you're a leg man (as am I) you've just got to love those full body shots of Dee's long legs as they move through the typical catalogue of positions on their way to a pop shot on her back.

What may be the best of the video's seven scenes features Asia Carrera and Stacy Valentine teaming up on the luckiest delivery boy in all the land. No sooner than Stacy shoves her tits in his face and Asia wraps her lips around his dick do I begin displaying two of the seven deadly sins-- lust for Asia Carrara and jealousy over this lucky bastard sandwiched between two superstars of porn. Asia, simply put, is a better Viagra than Viagra. She's just as hot as she ever was, and doesn't need to resort to stupid porn tricks (gangbangs, Max Hardcore, etc.) to prove it. Of the two women, Asia spends the most time on the business end of John Decker's dick, first riding him, then letting him ride her. Let it be recorded in the official record (if there is one) that perhaps the sexiest thing ever is to see a girl with a broad smile on her face when she's getting fucked, and Asia is always smiling.

Chloe takes her turn, telling the club about her fantasy of attacking the waiter at a local coffee house. Granted, Chloe is not your typical starlet. She's natural, aggressive, and a little rough around the edges, but there is no denying her intensity. She's the thinking man's porn star, that is if the thinking man spends much time considering hardcore cock sucking, ass pounding, and facials. Chloe delivers the goods in this scene demonstrating her talent for letting loose with apparently genuine orgasms almost at will.

Syndee Steele gives a quick interlude where she fucks a health club stranger on, and against, some gym equipment. Syndee has a really good body, and she's willing to do almost anything in the name of sex, but her scene is pretty much paint by numbers sex. Still it's well shot, but for the most part it comes across as filler until we get to better stuff.

That better stuff comes in the form of a return engagement with Stacy Valentine who fantasizes about being a high priced call girl for Mickey G. and Ian Daniels. Stacy may be the sweatiest porn star in recent memory, and that includes Ron Jeremy. That's not an insult; it's a compliment. Miss Valentine simply sweats a lot when things get rolling, and while a sweaty woman may not be such a good thing, say, over dinner, it definitely works in bed. There's one close up of her with Mickey's cock squeezed in her mouth, where her hair is wet from the perspiration beading up on her forehead. She pulls her lips off him and gives a little unplanned wink to the camera letting all of us know she really enjoys her job. It's those little moments that work so well on DVD; when so much is often faked, you can perfectly freeze that genuine moment on your screen and hold on to it for as long as you want. The rest of the two-on-one doesn't hurt either.

Dee also returns with Alexandra Silk in tow to give one hell of a send off to their retiring masseur. Normally, it's the person getting the massage who has the fun, but not in this case. As sexy as Dee is, and as uninhibited as Alexandria can be, this scene ends before anything good can really get rolling. That's one of the trade offs in VCA movies, you get lots of scenes, but sometimes they just aren't long enough.

The finale, unfortunately, is also a little on the brief side, as sweaty Stacy Valentine returns for her third scene. This time, she makes a grocery clerk's day in the back room with a little sweaty cock sucking, some sweaty doggie, and some sweaty reverse cowgirl. Ok, she doesn't sweat all that much in this scene, after all they've got to keep the place cool for the produce. Still, if you're a Stacy Valentine fan you'll appreciate seeing her round out the flick. And there's some good alternate angles at work here, too, in case you need to go back to, uh, take care of some unfinished business.

Again, Ladies Night Out is often simple by-the- numbers porn. I just happen to like those numbers.
