The original Fallen Angel was a great video success, winning lots of awards in 1998, and spawning two sequels so far. The DVD edition also turned my head around--making me understand, to some extent, the thrill of authentic leather S&M. I wish I could report that FA2: Descending, as they call it in the opening credits, lives up to the original. But how often does that happen?
The film has its moments, but there's little here that will thrill anyone other than die-hard fans of the performers or the sub-genre. Firstly, the entire movie is one long orgy sequence, with no real form or continuity. While the guys are undoubtedly into what they're doing, the action is too similar for too long, too constant and unfocused. There are no real beginnings and endings. In fact, there are very few completely hard cocks--it's as if they've already been going at it all day, and are only staying hard with the help of their cock-rings and ball-sqeezers...
There's plenty of atmosphere. The proceedings are supposed to be taking place in Hell itself--complete with open flames and ever-present mood lighting. The action rotates between three or four different spots on the same large metal scaffolding (adults-only monkey bars, if you will) occasionally moving away to focus on some duo before heading back to the original group activity. Besides the first few minutes, when demon Kyle Brandon takes his victim Alex Stone down into the depths, no one is introduced or singled-out well enough to seem very interesting, or turn in a truly cum-worthy performance.
There's also plenty of spitting, bondage, barking out orders and actual pain-giving going on here. As in Fallen Angel, some of these fetish trappings and practices strike me as hot, others dumb or just plain silly. In the movies' finale, Kyle is shown getting his dick pierced for a 'Prince Albert'--but while that footage is interesting, it's not particularly sexy...
Still, maybe half of the guys involved with Fallen Angel II are really fine specimen. Kyle Brandon, Mike Roberts (hot dick!), Thomas Lloyd and Damon Page are the stand outs for me. In general, I'd call this a rental movie--mostly for the sake of curiousity and variety. But it you know and love any of these models, or are dying to see a long hardcore S&M orgy, including some actual mild brutality--this may be worth a purchase.
