The First Word:  This is the first installment in a new series from legendary director John Leslie.  The question most of his fans want to know is whether this is going to be something complete different from his recent work or not. 

What's It About?:   Crack Her Jack is a four-scene gonzo with John Leslie behind the camera and interacting with the performers. First up, Angelica is a short-haired bleached blonde with nice, natural tits, and she teases the camera with several minutes of softcore footage, urged on by John Leslie and captured in point-of-view style.  Angelica continues by briefly rubbing her pussy before making use of a double-headed jelly dong (helped for a bit by JL's POV hand).  He then directs her to put a finger in her ass, which she does without question.  Then all of a sudden, she's sucking on Greg Centauro and Nick Lang's cocks.  JL moves the handheld camera around on the fly, but not in quite a nauseating manner as he does in The Voyeur series.  Between cuts, he fades to black while the sound continues, which is not my preference.

From there, it's the standard threeway sandwich, with one guy banging Angelica from behind while she sucks the other.  Then she takes a cock up the ass, and in no time, the guy is literally banging her as fast as he can, like the arms of an old-fashioned locomotive at full speed, bringing her to a loud orgasm.  After a couple minutes of vag reverse cowgirl, it's time for the DP.  It's also about the time I start hoping that the DP will transform this fairly boring and mechanical scene into something hotter.  Unfortunately, despite a few moments when the DP actually starts to work, it's mostly a loud, yet mechanical double coupling.  Although the guys both have to jack off on Angelica's face, the facial is pretty good, and she's in merry spirits as she continues to suck and play after the guys have spilled their seed.

The beginning of the second scene features three girls, Evelin, Lucie Love, and Lucie Lee, outdoors in their underwear, with John making some gruff, dirty-old-man comments.  They strip down to their birthday suits and masturbate at JL's command.  Then, just as with the first scene, a cock comes out of nowhere (belonging to Leslie Taylor, who has a big dick but also a long ponytail, ugh).  As is customary, oral sex is the appetizer, with two of the girls giving Leslie a double BJ while the other licks a pussy.  Once the fucking starts, I like the wide open missionary angle that affords a great view of the penetration.

Overall, it's a pretty typical Eurobabe scene, with fast, loud sex without much genuine heat.  By that I mean that the girls act like fashion models having sex, with exaggerated actions for the camera.  This is my biggest beef with European porn:  it's viewed more like a modeling profession than an acting or sexual one.  It also bothers me that they really don't do anything different unless John tells them to.  And finally, the scene seems to drag on too long...I can only see the same chicks plugged in the ass of so long, so the triple open-mouthed pop at the end is merciful.

If you're like me, you saw the cover of Crack Her Jack and thought that there was going to be some sort of baseball theme.  But in this case, it's just Michelle Wild's very sexy and well-ventilated dress that's the inspiration for the series title.  Micky Blue and Roly Reeves appear stark naked, sporting hard-ons, and get blown by raven haired Michelle, who, I'm sure you'll all agree, has a fantastic natural rack.  For the most part, she's the filling in a two-cock sandwich, taking one of the guys from behind while giving the other one a nice hands-free hummer.  After a stretch of reverse cow anal, both guys team up to DP this 23-year old Hungarian beauty.  The best things in this scene are her tits and the gooey, above average facial she takes at the end.

The last scene begins like just about every gonzo does these days, with the girls (Sandy Style and Jennifer Dark) teasing and playing with themselves while John speaks from off camera.  Once again, the action goes from tease to blowjobs without any setup or transition.  This time, there's a little more spontaneity and heat as the scene develops into a two couple fuck.  It's too bad that this is tempered by John giving a lot of direction to the performers that is distracting to them and to me.  There's plenty of anal for those who can't get enough, and the the double facial is okay despite John getting irritated with one of the guys for not sticking with the expected post-pop game plan.

What I liked: Michelle Wild:  I'm mesmerized by her breasts!  And I don't think there's a guy on the planet who wouldn't take notice of the fabulous outfit she's wearing in her scene.

What I didn't like:  Do all porn directors eventually turn into Ed Powers?:  I really didn't care for John Leslie giving orders and making comments in most of the scenes like Ed Powers or Randy West do.  "Tell him to kiss your ass!" "Continue blowjob!" "Mmmmmm....."

If I don't have to see another lens flare...:  One thing you can count on in John Leslie's videos is at least one scene with the lighting positioned so that there's a sunlight flare created by the lens.  While that's good for the cover photo for "Popular Photography," it's really distracting to see this effect over and over again.

Pretty but cold:  There's no question in my mind that some of the world's most beautiful women are from Eastern European countries, especially Hungary.  However, there's something artificial about the way they have sex that just doesn't get me going.  I have to appreciate the sex for the erotic visuals instead of the realism and feeling, which I prefer.

DVD Extras:  The extras package includes a large photo gallery, three trailers for other John Leslie movies, as well as his bio and the ad for his blues band CD (which falls into the "don't ever need to see it again" category for me).  The main bonus is a series of outtakes and additional footage from each of the four scenes.  The highlight of the 26-minutes of bonus sex is Michelle Wild getting DPP'ed, which unfortunately doesn't look that interesting thanks to the poor lighting. 

A/V Quality:   I'm disappointed by the presentation on this disc.  It's not that the video quality is bad, but the photography leaves much to be desired.  In addition to the annoying lens flares, no additional set lighting, such as C-lights, is used.  John also seems to shoot against bright windows or lights, making it even harder to see what's going on.  Add to that the annoying fade to black between edits, and a bit too much audio gain (leading to a  sharp soundtrack with hiss).

The Last Word:   Crack Her Jack looks and feels a lot like John Leslie's other series, especially The Voyeur (albeit with less camera movement and "peeping tom" angles) and Fresh Meat.  I'm not sure I like him as a traditional gonzo director since he sounds like the quintessential Dirty Old Man most of the time.  Overall, if you're a JL fan, you probably won't be very disappointed since this new series doesn't break new ground.  Personally, I prefer his more artistic and feature work over most of his Eurogonzo stuff and Crack Her Jack in particular.
