Expectations: I have never watched an adult interactive DVD, so when given the chance to review one, I jumped at it. Being my first adult interactive DVD, I wasn't sure quite what to expect. I have heard nothing but excellent reviews on 'Chasing Stacy', so I wanted to expect something great. The idea of an interactive adult DVD, just doesn't appeal to me that much, so I guess I expected to have 'a pretty good DVD, for an interactive DVD, but they just aren't for me.'. To put it short, I expected pretty good but I hated it.

Review: Man, was I wrong. Chasing Stacy is amazing! Since the case said 'Over 3 hours', I planned on splitting this DVD over a couple nights, however as soon as I started I couldn't stop. Chasing Stacy is split into three sections that you can enter as you please. The first part is 'Chasing Stacy', and is basically a game. You are chasing Stacy throughout her day trying to find the right time to ask her out on a date. If you screw up, you get to see her on the couch talking to one of her friends about the loser who tried asking her out. If you succeed, you jump to the virtual date. Chasing Stacy isn't all about the game, however. There is also a scene with Stacy in the shower, one of her getting laid outside a pool (from Forever Night), and one of her doing a striptease trying on different clothes from leather and latex to feather boas and plaid skirts. All of the scenes are pretty good and, except for the pool scene, blend in well with the game. Stacy does a great job of including a little of everything that people seem to like about her in the three scenes. There are also some other cool little scenes such as going through the VCA office and seeing a few people, such as Kylie Ireland, 'working'. I was originally a little disappointed when I went to play Chasing Stacy again and found out I couldn't scan forward to where I first scored, but it was the same kind of disappointment of a kid locked alone in a candy store.

The next part of Chasing Stacy is the Virtual Date. I was initially a little disappointed that there wasn't anything interactive in the date, but once again, that was soon forgotten. The Date does a nice job of letting you get to know Stacy as a person. Things such as her hobbies, what her day's like, and of course what she likes and dislikes sexually. She also works in a couple scenes into her stories. One is from Eternal Lust and the other is from LA Lust. This section is probably a one time through section, however it is a nice 'taste' of Stacy the person.

Finally, we have what everybody picked this DVD up for: Fantasex! Almost immediately I had to reach for the box of Kleenex. No, not for that you sickos, for the puddle of drool that was appearing in front of me. I just about fell forward out of my chair in amazement of the job VCA did on the Fantasex. You control everything from the location and music on up to what you do and how you do it. You have your choice between three locations to have sex with Stacy: her place, the office, or in public. The action stays the same wherever you go, just the background changes. Next, you get to choose what the music is or even if there is any. The music ranges from slow and romantic to loud and nasty. Finally, you get down to business. You can start with foreplay, oral sex, or go right for the honey pot. Wherever you choose, you can choose how intense it is. For example oral sex can be anything from Stacy whispering "Oooh, that feels so good.", to ordering 'Fuck my cunt with your tongue!". The oral sex section gives you the fewest options, but the foreplay lets you choose between her breasts, fingering her, or using a toy on her. Likewise, the sex lets you choose what position you're in. Perhaps most impressive was that VCA put a filler in between the scene you're in and the cum scene so that it would seem natural. The only thing you can't do to Stacy is anal sex, although you get to see some of that in an earlier scene.

There are very few faults with the interactive sex section. The first down side, if you can call this a down side, to the Fantasex section is that there's no real end to it. If you're in the cum shot, it stays in about a forty - five second loop until you choose one of the other sex options. I tried pushing the menu button on my remote and it just took me to the start of the cum scene. My second dislike is that anytime I changed anything it seemed like it took forever before the scene would restart. It was probably only five or ten seconds, but that seems like a lot on part of a scene loop that might last a minute. I'm not sure if these are DVD problems or a hardware problems. I thought of going over to my parent's house to try it on their player (since they're the only other people I know in this area with a DVD player), but I didn't think they would like that.

There are only a few extras, but if you're one of Stacy's many fans, they aren't that bad. The photo gallery is okay, but not great. There are a total of about six pictures of Stacy that the camera swings around and then zooms out so that you can see the entire thing. The extra scenes are the inserted scenes from Forever Night, Eternal Lust, and LA Lust. The only other extra I would have liked to have seen would be a biography and a listing of Stacy's other films. I think that most of the people who pick this up are fans of hers, and if not they soon will be. Listing her films is not be just information, it's advertising!

Overall, this is an amazing DVD and is highly recommended. If you are the least bit curious about an interactive DVD, buy this one. I know that Chasing Stacy is going to be the standard all interactive adult DVDs I watch is going to be held up to. I know it's the only one I've watched, but it is as good as everybody has said it is.
