Just when you thought MLyons had gotten all soft on you and forgotten how to review "real" porn.

Before I even open the package I know there are a couple of good reasons for me to check this one out. The first one is simply that of track record. The first installment of Buttman Comics was exceptionally good, and I've been anticipating a "sequel" for a long while now. The second reason, and this is a big one, is that this will be Evil Angel's first foray into the fantastic new world of High Definition porn. Included in this set is three discs. One is the traditional DVD version of the movie. One is a DVD of extras and the third is a disc solely devoted to a high definition (720p) Windows Media file that can be played back on a fairly fast Windows based computer, or a HD WMV compatible DVD player. My first exposure to HD porn was Digital Playground's Island Fever #3, which was, I must say, a fantastic specimen of a porn movie especially in the HD realm. Now that Evil Angel has taken the HD leap, I'm really looking forward to seeing some of their brand of harder edged sex introduced in the HD format.

So, here's the deal. This review, while certainly covering the extras that are included on the DVD version of the movie, will primarily be focused on the actual HD version--which may or may not be different than what you might see in the DVD version. One word of warning about watching WMV-HD content--you need a pretty decent computer to play it. Evil Angel recommends at least a 2.5GHz PC, but I was able to play it without too much trouble on my 2.0GHz machine. Believe me though, all things being equal, HD exists for a reason--and it's well worth the effort to get a look at.

Taryn Thomas is in a hurry as she rushes through the doors of school and bolts to her locker.  She blows a quick kiss to a picture of a guy she has hanging inside, and then she's discovered by a pack of angry cheerleaders.  Hillary Scott is evidently quite upset about Taryn's interaction with her boyfriend the other day.  Apparently they said two words to each other.  Hillary and the rest of her crew make it clear to Taryn that nothing like that should ever happen again, and poor Tayrn is left with a wedgy to remember them by.  Scott Nails, the very boyfriend that Taryn is not allowed contact with, happens by to help Taryn pick up her scattered books from the floor.  He discoveres that she likes naughty comics, and together they read one of them.

Scene 1A - Kaylynn & Tyler Durden

Kaylynn is busily looking fantastic and sucking off Tyler in a car.  While Kaylynn shows off her near perfect ass and sucks away, Tyler's wife calls on his cell phone, and he assures her that he'll be home shortly.  It's not long before Tyler cums in Kaylynn's mouth (although because of the awkward confines of the car, it's hard to see a whole lot), and then he decides he loves his kids and has to go back to his wife.  Kaylynn is none to happy about this, and spits his cum back into his face.  then she claims to have captured the whole thing on a digital camera, but before she can make use of it, her car is slammed into by a big ol' truck.

Meanwhile, in hell, the devil (Tommy Gun) needs a bride, and one of his minions (Naudia Nyce) has earmarked Kaylynn for exactly that purpose.  Kaylynn arrives and is told the happy news.  Surprisingly, she takes it all in stride, and then is prepared for the "ceremony."  Once again we get another fantastic shot of Kaylynn's breathtaking butt as she dons some latex undies, a red rubber dress and some pumps.  Two of satan's boy-slaves attack her, Naudia Nyce joins them, and the fucking commences.

Scene 1B - Kaylynn, Naudia Nyce, Mr. Pete, Tommy Gun & Johnny Cobalt

The action in this scene is quite good, and both girls look excellent, although Naudia manages to achieve it through a film of devlish grime.  Somehow it still works on her.  First the two stooges attack the girls, and it's blowjobs and general fucking all around.  Kaylynn's ass is the first to be penetrated, and her posterior gets no small amount of attention in this scene.  Naudia gets some anal working over here as well, and meanwhile Satan (Tommy Gun) is pacing anxiously around the perimeter watching all the action.

Satan (Tommy) finally decides he's had enough and claims his bride's ass as his own.  Kaylynn gets a double penetration, and both girls get ass fucked side by side before all three guys unload their seed onto Kaylynn's pretty ass.  Although I very much enjoyed the action here, I was a little disappointed in the pacing and camera work.  It was very edit-happy, and the scene didn't have a very good flow from one thing into the next.  It seemed to me like this kind of vignette oriented presentation would lend itself well to a build up.  It's almost as if I wanted Kaylynn to be resistant to what was happening to her--to create some tension as she progressed from dressing the part, to blowjob, to sex, to anal.  Instead it all seemed a bit dramatically flat, and I think that was really an opportunity missed for making an already good scene really fantastic.  Alas, what was there was very good, and I very much enjoyed the fun (and sometimes funny) context.

Six months later, Kaylynn is running the place and the devil is relegated to wearing a maid's uniform and vacuuming.  It's all rather amusing.

The cheerleaders all get together and do their stretching while they conspire together.  Meanwhile, Taryn and Scott Nails have moved into another classroom--watching them from behind a set of window blinds.  Their attention is again focused on Taryn's comic book, as Taryn admits a liking for shopping.

Scene 2 - Vicky Vette, Scott Lyons & James Deen

Vicky is a busty blonde with a short plaid miniskirt, garters and a partially sheer black top, shopping at a produce store, where she is somewhat unsatisfied with the merchandise.  One of the produce guys (Scott Lyons) stops by to inform her that the store is about to close.  Instead though, she convinces him to lead her into the back where there's some "fresher" stuff.  He clandestinely indicates to his stock buddy that something special is about to happen, and after some discussion in the back, Vicky finally starts to strip and tease and guys.  Then she turns on the dirty talk and starts fucking herself with a cucumber.  Prettttty good stuff, I must say, even if Vicky is a little rough around the edges for my tastes.  She eventually invites both guys to come and "finish her off", and so begins the dual cocksucking.  After a bit of an extended oral session, Vicky gets fucked proper (doggy style, then cowgirl, then reverse cowgirl, then of course, a DP) and gets sticky with various types of freshly squeezed fruit juices (strawberry, then cantelope, then peach) at the same time.  Finally James cums on Vicky's tits, and Scott squirts a small load onto her mouth.  I thought this scene had a bit more of the flow that I thought was missing from scene 1 (although still not quite enough for my tastes), but the food motif is just so not for me, and although certainly no offense meant to Vicky, she's really not either--so I didn't really enjoy this scene too much.  It wasn't for a lack of good work--just personal taste.

Meanwhile the cheerleaders are practicing their cheers, and afterwards, decide to hit the showers.

Scene 3 - Sammie Rhodes, Hillary Scott, Sunny Lane, Courtney Simpson, Victoria Sin, Vanessa Lane

How much can you find to complain about when you've got six pretty damn gorgeous girls all getting naked and having a little team building fuck-fest in the shower? Not much, my friends.  Not much...  All the girls here have something going for them, and there are only two things about this scene that I wish were different.  One was I wish there weren't so many tattoos, and the other is that I wish there were some men involved.  But I freely admit neither of these might be a problem for a lot of others.  They start by sponging each other down in the shower and things just go dirty from there.  It all quickly degenerates into a twat-lapping, hole-fingering, tongue-twirling, oil-slicking orgy that offers irresistible girl-fleshy eye candy wherever the camera turns.  Finally, of course, the toys are unleashed as well.  Highlights include Victoria Sin's rather impressive and damn sexy auto-anal fingering, where everything but her thumb finds its way up there.  Hillary, Victoria, and Sammie all  have some wonderful anal toy adventures.  There's no shortage of fantastic filthy talk and girl domination themes.  And Sammie does a DP at the end that might have actually brought her to orgasm--just maybe.  Despite the fact that there were no men involved, I really loved this scene.  It's easily the best one in the movie so far, and in many ways is very reminiscent of Bruce Seven's unrivaled work in the genre before he passed away.

While the cheerleaders do their thing in the showers, Scott and Taryn are rigging a practical joke on Scott's girlfriend for when she gets back to the locker room.  Their joke succeeds, and Hillary vows revenge.

Taryn and Scott profess their interest in each other, and then decide to read one more comic.

This one is about wrestling, and after we watch a few humorous highlights from some of the earlier matches that day, we get set for the main event.  There are some damn funny moments here and there, and it includes some fun in-jokes among the Evil Angel savvy porn fans out there.  The four participants take the wrestling match beyond the mat, and into a ... tool room?

Scene 4 - Katja Kassin, Dillan Lauren, Talon & Christian

Katja is looking very boyish here with her sooted cheeks and her dog tags, but once again, she still has a way about her that can enthrall--especially when she starts fucking.  Dillan looks great here, with her curly brunette hair and her big ass.  They really don't waste any time as both girls get a cock each stuffed in their pussies within seconds after they pair off.  Naturally both girls get a fair amount of cock up their butts as well, but not before parading through one or two standard vaginal positions.  Dillan looks especially great as she gets anally skewered in the reverse cowgirl position.  Katja once again proves how much of a peerless anal pro she is, and this all goes on for quite some time.  They finish things off by taking a facial each, and needless to say, the girls win their match.

After reading all this comic-book porn, Taryn's had enough.  She attacks poor defenseless Scott in the classroom.

Scene 5 - Taryn Thomas & Scott Nails

Taryn's looking great here--with her white button down shirt, and her red plaid micro-mini--lookin' all school-girly.  She starts off with some cocksucking, and then the couple moves onto some doggy, and missionary.  It's not too long before Taryn takes it up the ass, and of course, she looks great doing it.  There's also a bit of ass to pussy action, that I know some people will like, but it kinda bothers me to watch it.  Just a personal preference, I guess.  They attempt to do some gaping, but nothing really comes of it--thankfully.  ;-)  Although Taryn looks great doing all those nasty things you've come to expect from Evil Angel, I think she suffers a bit from the "American gawdy porn" performance style.  Her reactions just don't seem that authentic to me, but maybe that's just my own jaded-ness talking.  Still, Taryn is damned pretty, and the scene ends with a nice facial.

The Making of Vault of Whores: 59 Mins I actually found this a little disappointing. It was an hour long, but it wasn't particularly coherent. It's more of a montage of very short behind the scenes moments and didn't really have much of a binding to help tie them all together. There's a fair amount of rock music with random images, and some footage of people having fun on set, but you really get the feeling that you aren't in on the jokes, so I found the whole thing kind of distancing.

HD-WMV High Definition Presentation of the Movie

OVERALL:
Easily my favorite scene on this disc was the cheerleader scene--and it wasn't just because they were cheerleaders. It truly was one of the best all-girl scenes I've seen in a long, long time, and was definitely a worthy tip of the hat to one of porn's most celebrated all-girl directors--Bruce Seven. It had Seven's spirit buried within it, and believe me when I say that it alone is worth the price of the disc. Beyond that, for me second place goes to Kaylynn, and her hell-fuck with Naudia Nyce and the DP-in' devil brigade. The wrestling sequence with Katja and Dillan had its moments as well. Taryn's scene wasn't quite everything I hoped it would be, and taking up the rear was Vicky Vette's stockboy workout at the market. Those rankings are all just my opinion though.

If you're askin' me, I would say that in comparison to the first Buttman Comics outting, this was simply not QUITE as good. The cheerleader scene (along with the WMV-HD presentation of the movie) certainly did its part to help earn it 4 stars, but as an overall package the original is hard to beat. There are tons of extras on this release, but I really felt the extras were an unfortunate example of quantity over quality. A lot of it just wasn't very interesting to me, but perhaps I just felt that way because I didn't feel that they were made to be presented as anything other than random unrelated glimpses of the movie making process. There wasn't much glue or focus in them to keep me interested.

Finally, as an HD release this was certainly a welcome first effort by Evil Angel. I strongly believe that Digital Playground's Island Fever #3 was a much better HD effort than this one--but hey, this was still HD, and I can't find a whole lot to complain about there. I did notice that in some parts of the movie (particularly with the effects sequences (screen wipes, picture within picture, etc.) that there was a fair amount of "tearing" or an "interlacing" effect, that was actually quite extreme. Thankfully though, after Kaylynn's first encounter in the car, this problem seemed to be much less prevelant. This certainly could have had something to do with my computer not meeting the minimum specs for playback, but I'd be curious to see if I have the same problems on a different computer, especially since I didn't notice this problem near as much during the rest of the movie. Either way, it's still HD. Even if it's not the most pristine HD I've ever seen it's still damn nice to see it--especially when your looking at six "cheerleaders" doing their thaing in what is probably the best all-girl scene of 2005.

All in all, I give this one a strong recommendation--whether you rent or buy is really a matter of personal preference, but either way, don't pass it by without giving it a gander.
