IMPRESSION:
Ever since this came out on DVD, I’ve been wanting to see it badly. I wasn’t disappointed in this one not a damn bit --- even though I thought this would have been a compilation of all of Buttman’s favorite scenes from the late 80s until 1994 or 1995. But this is a compilation of his 20 favorite ass-obsessed scenes from the late 80s to 1991, plus a scene that he shot FOR the compilation!

HIGHLIGHTS:
I’m not going to get into specific detail about each and every scene. But out of 21 scenes, I believe there was only 1 that I really didn’t care for. I’ve said it before that I despise compilations. Most "The Best Of..." compilations are useless because they’re either horribly edited, they only compile certain scenes and miss the great ones and they don’t make sense. For a prime example of this, check out “Rocco’s Sexual Superstars” and you’ll see what I mean. However, this compilation (like Justin Slayer’s “Unleashed vs. Freshly Slayed” series, “Rocco’s Best Buttfucks” and “Rocco’s Hardest Scenes”) makes every bit of sense. It’s edited with care and it’s a compilation you can watch all the way through without skipping more than 1 scene, if that! John “Buttman” Stagliano goes through his back catalogue and shows us his favorite scenes and talks over most of the scenes as if it’s a commentary. Many of these scenes were shot from the late 80s and the scenes are from flicks like “Buttman Goes to Rio”, “Rock & Roll Heaven”, “Buttman’s Butt Freak”, “The Adventures of Buttman”, etc…

Although there isn’t sexual penetration in every scene, every scene is about butts and asses. There's White ass and Hispanic ass. There's bend-over shots, stand-up-straight shots, prancing, dancing, walking and switching asses! I dig the fact that these women are all natural. No fake tits (although I’m not a tit man), no whole bunch of makeup thrown on these women, either. In today’s pornography, there’s a lot of that going around as if pornography is a fucking Victoria’s Secret Fashion Convention. This is what I dig about old school pornography. The fact that this is an old-school flick turned me on even more (I guess it’s because the first porno I ever saw was called “Pussy Posse”; a 1993 flick that has Champagne Pendarvis in it)! The ass-obsession is very relentless, non-stop and it reminded me of “Buttman’s Rolling Cheeks” and even something like “This Butt’s 4U”. A lot of the things in this video drove my dick mad!

NEGATIVES/SPECIAL NOTE:
I’m not going to bash the male talent in here, because these male porn stars were probably considered “good” back in the old days when these scenes were shot. I don’t think that in yesterday’s pornography, there was a lot of emphasis put into the male talent and the performance of the male talent. I guess you can say that in these times and in today’s pornography, male sexual performance has gotten only better and there’s a lot more emphasis put into it. Back in the old days, people just wanted to have sex or make a sex scene. In today’s age, shit is different. The guys in these sex scenes wouldn’t even exist in the porn world or the sex industry today! Nowadays, many male porn stars lay the pipe right (Justin Slayer and his crew, Lexington Steele, Rocco Siffredi, Erik Everhard, Brandon Iron, Manuel Ferrara, Nacho Vidal, Rico Strong, etc…). And these guys from the 80s and 90s couldn’t in years see these guys who I’ve just mentioned! So, I won’t knock points off of this flick based on the male performance. The sexual performance of many men has increased vigorously since the time these scenes were done, which was from the late 1980s up until 1991, when this compilation was done!

DVD QUALITY:
The a/v quality is very good, considering that this is about 17 years old! There’s a photo gallery and 4 trailers for other John Stagliano flicks.

OVERALL:
I wouldn’t have minded there being a “The Best of Buttman 2”, which starred scenes from “Salsa Break”, “Face Dance”, “Buttman Goes to Hawaii”, “Buttman’s Bend Over Brazilian Babes 1 & 2”, which do not get any light in this compilation. Then again, John Stagliano has done so much work that it would take a long time to compile all of the greatest scenes he’s ever done! I instantly fell in love with this compilation and I didn’t expect much from it. I’m happy that I’ve seen it. If you don’t rent this video at least, you’re not a true ass man. John Stagliano is a professional at this, but every man (and woman) ought to have a compilation of their favorite sex scenes. This compilation makes me want to make my own homemade flick with my favorite ass-obsessed sequences. John Stagliano is one of my heroes, no bullshit!
