Initial Expectations: I’ve had mixed results out of this series, so I’m going in with a fairly open mind.

Initial Reaction: It’s good, but not great.

Audio /Video Quality: For a movie that’s nearly ten years old, the technical aspects are very impressive. The audio is clear and well balanced, and there’s minimal dubbing. The video has a few minor remnants, but they rarely interfere with the picture too much. The picture looks a little soft, but never so bad that it seems grainy, and is nicely lit.

Music: The music is fairly typical porno music, but it’s nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The main menu blends a small clip from the movie with your choices. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a scene number and a small clip of each scene.

The Feature: Although being a swimwear model is thought of as an easy job, there’s lots of things people don’t consider. There’s the hard and heavy lesbian sex with your coworkers and the people you work for, and there’s also the politics of the job. It can be a dirty business, especially when a competitor is willing to spy and lie to the models to try and put a competitor out of business. Luckily Babes Illustrated 2 concentrates a lot more on the hard and heavy sex than the politics!

Kaitlyn Ashley and Melanie Moore start things out after Kaitlyn models a bikini for her. Melanie goes down on Kaitlyn and flosses her slit with her pearl necklace before letting Kaitlyn completely undress her and tongue her in return. The girls bring a bottle of champagne into play, spitting it back and forth, pouring it on each other and licking it off, and even using it to simulate a pop. The girls continue to work back and forth, with Kaitlyn even giving Melanie’s ass a little attention, before they masturbate for each other and grind their gashes together until they collapse.

This is a great opening scene. Both Kaitlyn and Melanie look like they’re having a great time and are willing to do whatever they can to please each other with what’s around. I love the necklace, and the champagne bottle adds a ton of fun to the scene. This is an excellent scene and feels nicely different from the multitude of other all girl scenes out there!

Crystal Wilder and Sylvia Rider get busy for the second scene. Crystal works her way across Sylvia’s body from her lips down to her toes, and gives Sylvia’s feet as much attention as her pussy. She strips out of her lingerie for Sylvia before they sixty-nine, and Crystal goes back to playfully working over Sylvia with her tongue and later a strap-on. Finally the girls collapse onto each other.

This scene leaves me with mixed feelings. Overall I’m a bit disappointed with it. The scene goes all over the place, and at times felt like it was seeing how much it could throw in. On the other hand, Crystal is cute as can be and brought a great spirit into the scene that made it a winner for me. The positive easily outweighs the negative here, and I’m left liking the scene while admitting it has a few faults.

Brooke Waters and Melanie Moore hook up in Melanie’s office for the third scene. They kiss passionately before Melanie lays Brooke back on her desk and tongues her twat. She moves around so they can get a little sixty-nining in before moving back out so she can tongue Brooke’s holes from behind. Melanie gives Brooke one last treat by eating her as she lays back on her desk before they get dressed so Melanie can make it to a meeting on time and kiss goodbye.

This is a decent scene, but nothing special. The girls have decent chemistry and energy, but there isn’t anything that seems at all different here. The thing that stands out most about the scene is that Melanie never really receives in the scene. Although it’s a little different, it’s not that good of a different as Melanie seems to do a great job both giving and receiving. Unlike other one-sided scenes I’ve watched, the on-sidedness of this scene is worked nicely into the plot.

Micki Lynn and Sylvia Ryder hook up in the penultimate scene after their photo shoot. Silvia kisses her way across Micki’s body and down to Mickey’s muff. She licks, spanks, and fingers Micky before taking her turn in the chair for a little slit licking. Sylvia turns around for Mickey to lick her and fuck her with a vibe. Finally, Sylvia sits on Mickey’s face before they kiss to finish up.

This scene didn’t do too much for me. The girls are okay together, but the scene felt completely like your typical lesbian scene. There’s a little licking back and forth, a little dildo action, and some kissing to finish up as the girls overdo things a bit. It’s an okay scene, it’s just that there’s nothing unique about it in any way and the girls overdo things enough that they didn’t hold my attention too well.

Kaitlyn Ashley and Felecia finish things up with Crystal Wilder while Melanie Moore snaps a few pictures of them. The girls move on to work each other over in a line both naturally and with a double dildo. They break out a few more toys before they finish things up kissing.

This is a pretty good scene. The girls work around the toys nicely so that they don’t feel out of place in the scene, and there’s nice chemistry between the girls. It’s a fairly typical scene, but works it the right way and ends up in the plus column.

Babes Illustrated 2 is a decent lesbian movie. It suffers a little from sequel-itis, but also stands alone from the original. There’s a few scenes here that feel really original, but sadly a couple of them also feel completely like the stereotypical lesbian scene. Kaitlyn Ashley and Melanie Moore easily stand out as the top performers in the movie, and the opening scene between them is easily the best scene in the movie. The other scenes are also decent, but frequently fall into the trap of familiarity. Babes Illustrated 2 is a good all girl movie, but not a great one.

Extras: The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with about six seconds per decent looking framed photo. There’s also company information, weblinks, and the B-side of the DVD filled with trailers.

Overall: Currently, most of the Babes Illustrated series can be found online for between $12 and $25 with a few stores offering them near the low end. The low end isn’t too bad for what you get here. There’s a little creativity and the technical aspects are nicely done, but there isn’t much for extras. If you’re a big fan of all girl action this is definitely a movie I’d recommend.
