Initial Expectations: Van Styles blew me away with his first two releases for Hustler. I’m going into this one, his third, with extremely high expectations.

Initial Reaction: Why the hell isn’t Van Styles getting a heck of a lot more attention when he puts out movies this hot????

Who Should Watch It : Anal fans and anybody who wants a movie that takes them several sittings to get through

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a movie that’s all anal all the time or where it seems like the girls are being heavily pushed with the anal or anybody who wants to watch an entire movie in one sitting

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are very well done. The audio is clear and nicely balanced, and I don’t think I heard a single background noise. It is, however, a touch on the low side. The video is also very well done. To start with, it was shot in HD and is presented in anamorphic widescreen. I think this is Van Styles first widescreen movie, and he doesn’t show any of the problems most directors do when they go from the full screen to the widescreen format. The picture has a little grain, but makes great use of light and comes off looking slightly film-like and artistic.

Music: There’s a little music here and there, but it’s barely worth mentioning and always disappears before the main sex starts.

Menus: The main menu nicely combines a bit of animation with the boxcover for a very good first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and the name of the girl in it. There’s also a “Select a Star” menu which lets you choose a scene based on the girl in it and then go to a specific sex act in the scene.

The Feature

Van Styles returns for his third Hustler movie with Ass Appeal. It should go without saying that this one focuses on the anal side of things. Van starts out each scene with a little tease or story, and makes sure the girls are well warmed up before the guys give them a royal rectal reaming.

Scene 1 - Ayana Angel, Jada Fire, and Mark Ashley

Jada isn’t a girl that does a lot for me, mostly because of the braces, but she does do a nice job here. It’s Ayana that makes the scene for me. Her pretty face, great rack, and killer ass had me at attention before she was even fully stripped down. This is a dark hot start for the movie.

Scene 2 - Gia Jordan and Kurt Lockwood

Gia starts things out in a multicoloured bikini showing off for Van and chatting with him a bit outside. She heads inside where Kurt’s waiting for her. I love how this one starts out with Sandra in control, and the power change here works better than in most other scenes I’ve watched. Rather than just playfully switching control, Sandra seems to merge and give in to Kurt’s sexual will, letting him have his way with her strongly just how she would have wanted. It’s yet another extremely hot scene.

Scene 4 - Sydnee Capri and Mark Wood

Sydnee, an attractive black girl with a hienie that makes you scream “Hallelujah!”, starts things out showing off in a skimpy pink and white outfit and giving Van a smile that makes you want to smile right back. Scene 5 - Katrina Kraven, Mark Wood, Brett Rockman, and Arnold Schwartzenpecker

The scene feels like it’s between Katrina, Mark, and Brett, with Arnold being there for little more than moral support. Although Katrina does a great job taking on the cocks, Brett and Mark are so much more into it that Arnold seems lost and left out, and it held the scene back slightly because of it.

Ass Appeal is yet another fantastic fuck flick from Van Styles. In every scene the girls have a great ass and know just how to use it. The girls always look into the anal action, and have great chemistry with the guys as well. I love how Van mixes up the openings to the scenes, with the cop setup with Jadad Fire and Ayana Angel really starting out the movie right. Katrina Kraven does a great job with her setup as well, but the scene comes off as the weakest due to some of the male talent and chemistry. Van Styles continues to put out smoking hot porn that’s well worth checking out with Ass Appeal.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Black & Wild 13, Professianals 6, Cumswappers, Can You Be A Pornstar 3 & 4, Ghetto Booty 14, and Best of Real College Girls. The slide show lasts three and a half minutes with about six seconds per very nice looking full screen photo. There’s also commercials, web information, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts almost twenty five minutes, and is also presented in anamorphic widescreen. After starting things out with Jada and Ayana talking in the kitchen, Van heads over to the makeup chair to talk with Katrina about her car. He continues to take the HD camera around to chat with Mark Wood and Arnold Schwartzenpecker before taking in a bit of the sex with Sandra and Sydnee. Van captures some of the sex in each of the scenes next, and manages to get a few fun outtakes from each of the scenes. It’s a nicely done behind the scenes featurette, and as usual it gives the feeling that Van Styles keeps a very friendly and relaxed set.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Hustler’s newer line of DVD, such as Van Style’s line, can be found online for between about $19 and $30 with many stores offering them for around $20. Once again Van Styles and Hustler has put together a movie over three hours as well as extras and decent technical aspects. The technical aspects are a little weaker here than in some of the other releases, but the overall package shows a lot of care and is impossible for me not to recommend picking up.

Note to Hustler: It’s great to see you releasing such long movies as well as some nice extras. Here the video quality seemed to suffer a little, so please consider moving up to two disc releases. It would be great to see you release something like “Superbit” DVD for the main feature and then have a second DVD devoted to extras.
