...and Then Came Eve Review

All 56 minutes of AND THEN CAME EVE (1979, VCX standard frame re-release, 2010) is a sort of strange '70s time capsule that depicts two gal pals, Eve and Gloria (Anne Task and Olga Davis?) and other unidentified females turning the tables on men and "exploiting" them instead of the other way around.

The Eve and Gloria duo lure Ed the pizza delivery guy into their apartment then Gloria holds a gun on him while Eve instructs him to suck her ultra-wide hairy bush. The duo land in the couch where Eve wearing nothing but platformed sandals climbs around on Ed. During reverse cowgirl, Ed spills his load and the ladies rub it around. Flat-chested Gloria takes her turn and goes from a gun-toting gal to a soft sucking sweetie, who takes it doggy. Eve climbs onto the couch so Ed can finger her pussy hole and suck her small boob. She climbs down as Ed rolls into mish and drops a load on Gloria's tummy that Eve licks up then sucks a nipple.

This opening scene is nearly half of AND THEN CAME EVE and it's quirky fun especially if you recognize so many of the odd instrumental versions of classic pop songs like THEN CAME YOU, FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE, NOWHERE MAN, JUST AN OLD FASHIONED LOVE SONG---!!!

Eve and Gloria disappear from this 16 minute middle sequence, which is one of those intercut two-in-one suck, lick and fuck fests with interracial action occurring outside in and around a swimming pool and another couple inside on the same ugly couch from the opening scene. The interracial couple have some nice blow job and 69 moments but their straight sex stuff is standard for the time and they just sort of disappear without a pop shot. The duo on the couch finish up in doggy with the dude dropping his load on the thigh of a pale, bustier broad with a thick, shaggy hair cut---!!

Gloria returns and pushes some long-haired dude down on a bed and tells a cute gal to do whatever she wants with him. She watches the duo take off their clothes to the sounds of an instrumental version of some Neil Diamond song. Gloria laughs as the flat-chested gal gives the dude a blow job. The chick climbs on cowgirl to more sensual music then the music shifts for the faster thrusting as our young lady arches her back and rides her beau. The duo roll into mish and she grabs his butt cheeks tight as the music switches to strains of TIE A YELLOW RIBBON 'ROUND THE OL' OAK TREE.

This suck and fuck pair peter out so Gloria says "I'll put on a real show for ya." She rushes in some other dude, helps the goof ball take off his tight clothes, then slips outa her dress. The music shifts to this jazzier score as Gloria gives the dude a blow job while he's lying flat on his back. She ever so briefly climbs on reverse cowgirl then spreads her legs for doggy but this guy can't keep his load from quickly spewing on her butt. Thanks to that goofball, it's weak finale to this otherwise quirky scene that's not quite up to par with the opener---!! 1/2

Eve and Gloria are up their old tricks as they get their clutches in another unsuspecting dweeb, who has car trouble and needs to use the phone, but that'll have to wait for some other movie that no one ever bothered to make. I would say don't bother with AND THEN CAME EVE (1979, VCX standard frame re-release, 2010) but I sorta enjoyed these women taking a bit of control of these guys, especially in the opening scene that's filled with all those instrumental versions of hit pop songs. Too bad, this short flick never quite re-captures that energy in the other two sequences.

Final rating for AND THEN CAME EVE is !! 1/2 outa !!!!! Extras include the usual assortment of VCX bonus scenes, trailers and legendary tribute.
