A-Team XXX: A Parody, The Review

Review:
The “A-Team: A XXX Parody” is a good production from David Lord and Adam & Eve that serves as a parody of the popular TV show from the 80’s that shares its title. The various characters from the show—often with altered names—make appearances in this production, with Tyler Knight as “Bare-Ass” (B.A.), Scott Lyons as “Morecock” (Murdock), Evan Stone as “Ace” (Face), and Randy Spears as “Cannibal” (Hannibal). Thrown in for good measure—and fortunately so—is the always-steamy Bree Olson as the girlfriend of a reporter (Seth Gamble) who is kidnapped after getting caught taking photos of a biker gang dealing drugs. By the time that all is said and done, Bree has enlisted the help of the A-Team, the bad guys are all discovered and captured, and everything is left all hunky-dory. Despite this apparently-positive description, however, there are some issues that I have with the storyline as it relates to the original show.

In all honesty, I feel that the parody and plot aspects of this production could have been done better. My wife and I are fans of the show, and we both enjoyed the recent mainstream movie, as well. We’re far from purists, but we have a distinct familiarity with the original material. By the time that we were about an hour into it, my wife was so turned off by it—because she is more for the storyline than the sex—that we decided to have me finish it by myself later and to put something else on. I was also turned off by it…but not as badly so. Fortunately, the plot does pick up a good deal during the second half, but the first half is a killer. I recognize that this is a porn film, so my expectations probably shouldn’t have been so high…but a certain other parody that I reviewed relatively recently truly showed off what the genre is capable of…and this just doesn’t live up to that.

All of that said, this isn’t a “bad” movie. In fact, largely due to Bree Olson and her two anal scenes, along with the ass-poundings that Sophie Dee and McKenzie Lee take in their scene with Evan Stone, things do work out okay. It’s just that they work out okay more for the sex than for the plot…which is kind of unexpected for a parody that has been advertised as heavily as this one has and that had so much potential.

In terms of the sex, Bree Olson takes on Seth Gamble on a couch in their home in Scene One. The blowjob work, which includes some face-fucking, is hot, and the reverse-cowgirl (vaginal) and cowgirl (anal) positions that the pair employs are amongst the highlights of this very good sequence. The festivities close out with a pop-shot on Bree’s tummy, tits, and face…followed up by a cummy anal reinsertion and a bit of continued fucking—hot stuff by Ms. Olson! Scene Two brings together Chastity Lynn (as a nurse) and Scott Lyons in a hospital. This okay encounter counts the missionary-like (vaginal) and reverse-cowgirl (vaginal and anal) sex as its high-points and finishes off with a facial and some oral cock clean-off for / by Ms. Lynn. In Scene Three, we have strippers—Sophie Dee and McKenzie Lee—taking on Evan Stone. This excellent romp includes some hot double-blowjob action and titty-fucking by Sophie and McKenzie. Additionally, the vaginal reverse-cowgirl positions by both ladies are hot, and the anal work that the women do is off-the-charts…particularly the anal pile-driver position that McKenzie ends up in and the ass-to-mouth action that Sophie does. The fun caps off with a double-facial for the actresses, followed up by a bit of cum-swapping—too hot! Scene Four pairs Tyler Knight with Luscious Lopez—whom he rescues from the biker gang. The mixture of Spanish and English in Luscious’ dirty-talk works well here, and the cowgirl, missionary-like, and side-entry anal positions are amongst the better moments of this very good romp. The sex is capped off by a facial for Luscious—all followed up by some oral cock clean-off. In the final sequence (Scene Five), Bree is paired up with Randy Spears for an excellent, celebratory fuck. The doggie-style (vaginal), missionary-like (vaginal), and side-entry (anal) positionings that the pair employs are the highlights in this one…and the whole thing closes out with a pop-shot to Bree’s breasts. In all, the only complaints that I have about the sex in this production would be that better camera angles could have been employed at times—to keep the goings-on from getting monotonous—and, of course, that Scene Two isn’t up to the level of the others.

Some other items should also be noted. There are ads and trailers that play upon inserting the disc. This is a bit annoying. Additionally, the settings are fairly good, but the plot and acting (in some cases) could use some work. The main feature clocks in at right around the 2.5 hour mark.

In terms of bonus materials and other options, this two-disc set really excels. “Disc 2” is where one finds these materials, and they are many. There is a “Behind the Scenes” segment (~45 minutes), an “Interviews” segment (~35 minutes), a “Bloopers” reel that runs ~4 minutes, a “Casting Call” segment (~30 minutes), a “Did You Watch The A-Team?” segment (~8 minutes and asking cast members about the original show), a “Stunts” segment (~9 minutes), and a “Wardrobe and Props” segment (~36 minutes). One also finds an “Internet Promo Trailer”, a “Photo Gallery” (slideshow of stills and “pretty-girl” shots), a few “Previews of Adam & Eve Titles” (trailers), some “Web Info” (advertisements), and some “Phone Sex Info” (advertisements). This is a lot of bonus material.

In summary, this parody is a good one, but it isn’t as great as one might hope it to be. In the sex area, it’s solid—especially regarding the work of Bree Olson, Sophie Dee, and McKenzie Lee. In the parody area, however, it could have been improved. Again…it’s not bad, but it fails to live up to expectations.
